Hi Greg,

That's the nicest looking review theme I've seen yet. A couple of questions...

1. Are visitors allowed to comment on the blog (or have you removed that function from the template)?

2. Is the comparison chart a feature that you built into the theme?

Thanks for the compliments.

1. Yes, comments are available AND you can enable / disable them.
On the demo site, I have many pages which cannot be commented on. However, I do have some posts which can be commented on as well. You can see one of those posts here and leave a comment if you want.

2. I haven't built the comparison chart feature into the theme
However, I have a saved HTML file of it - and you can just copy & paste it into the theme from your HTML editor. The demo site that's up there has been designed to have a static page as the Wordpress homepage. This means that you can just change the design right from the "Edit Page" area in Wordpress.

It's very easy to change

It's all on Wordpress, so you can change whatever you want as long as you can do it in WP. You can have it as as page or post or whatever. If you just want to have 1 product review, then you can do it - you just need to make a page and put the review on there.

You can have a chronological type of post list or just a page. It's entirely up to you, which is what makes this theme so powerful.

Remember, if you want to purchase the theme you should go to AffiliTheme - Download AffiliTheme

Also, you might want to check out this page on the demo blog. It shows you the type of stuff you can put in the pages and how it will show up. This means that if you make a page like this and set it as the homepage in WP, then you can have a single product review.

I bought the theme, but won't have time to play with it till Monday. In the meantime, I have a couple more questions for you...

1. Can you CHANGE what product is promoted in the top banner on each page (ex: product 1 on homepage, product 2 on post 2, product 3 on post 3) or is it the same item on every page?

2. I noticed you have a bottom banner ad on every page as well. Is this flexible also so you can show different banner ads on different pages/posts?

I have some questions:

1) You said in the terms "[Yes] You get access to any updates".
Are you intending to keep the theme updated so that it will be compatible with future versions of Wordpress? And will the updates be free? (Sorry if I seem pedantic but as far as I can see you did not actually say updates will be free.) Or if not what will be the price?

2) Is one of the customizable options to change the theme from fixed to fluid? (I do NOT like fixed-width websites. At present your demo site only covers about 50% of the width of my screen in my laptop - a lot of wasted space!) Can I change it to fluid from the WP admin panel or would I still need to fiddle around with the CSS?

3) Can the theme be changed to symmetrical 3-column (left and right sidebars) from the admin panel? (I will not use 2-column themes and changing from 2 to 3 columns in the CSS can be difficult.)

4) Can the link colors be easily changed throughout the site via the admin panel or would I have to change it in the CSS? (In order to reduce confusion all links in all my sites are blue.)

5) Does your theme have the option of easily adding footer links (for "contact", "privacy policy" etc) so that the links only have to be added once for the whole site and not in every individual page?

5) Is the CSS fully commented to make it easy to understand and customize?

6) Does your theme have builtin templates for single-column pages (no sidebars) for using as sales and squeeze pages?

7) Can you provide a full list of all the options that are customizable from the admin panel?

(If I buy the theme without knowing what is customizable and how easy it is to customize I will almost certainly be requesting a refund when I discover that the theme will not do what I need it to do - I am very particular about my sites - I have been searching for the right Wordpress theme for a long time and haven't found it yet!)

I do not trust marketers who use blatant hype (and yes you come across to me as a marketer rather than a webdesigner because of the hype and the scarcity tactic and the $19.99 price tag instead of an honest $20.)

To me your (blue) headline further down the page with a littl bit of modification would have been a much better as the main headline than the one you used:

"This Theme Will Help You Make Professional & High Converting Affiliate SitesQuickly And Easily"

(There is more hype in your salesletter but I won't go on and on.)

Some people (me!) are thoroughly repelled by hype.

1. Right now, the top and bottom ads are static for the entire site. Personally, I have found this to be the most effective way to monetize my own sites, but we do have plans to have it changeable on different pages :-)

Lots of questions here so I will get right into it...

1) As Wordpress evolves, so will this theme. We are also in the process of adding / tweaking a lot of new features and have got big plans which will bring lots of updates for it.

2) Currently, to keep the integrity of the design for our beginner-level customers, we have decided to keep the theme fixed; making it editable via CSS only. This will be an option that we are looking to change in the next few weeks to add flexible wdiths to the design.

3) Unfortunately, the theme only has the ability for a single sidebar right now.

4) Yes, ALL link colors can be changed. You can change the color, hover color and visited color for every link on your site.

5) The CSS is not commented as we have not intended it to be edited directly. However, it is a pretty simple setup and an experienced coder should be able to get their head around it quite easily.

6) We are going to release a single-column version of the theme in the next few weeks. We have it all coded up but we need to get it integrated into the admin panel, amongst other things

9) I too am adverse to hype, but I have tried to make my marketing as plain, simple and non-hyped as possible for this product.

I understand your feelings about the red type etc, but in my opinion (From viewing countless salespages), I prefer to see a bold title to know exactly what the site is offering me in the first few seconds. That's why I did it.

I tried to focus the pitch of this product on the demo and the ability of the theme. I hope this is okay.

Thanks for the detailed reply Greg!

And thanks for the access to the backend of the sample site. I changed some of the options in the admin and color changes were fine but I did not see any options for changing the header or the ad panels. I made the theme wider (which looks MUCH better in my laptop) by altering the page template but I was unable to change it to fluid instead of fixed (so my wider version could have problems with some screen resolutions.)
(The site looks very different now - I hope I can remember the previous settings to change it back to the default!)

Please let me know if and when you add the options for 3-column with left and right sidebars and the fluid width.

P.S: Just to clarify: my comment in my original post about the hype in the red headline was in relation to the word content of the headline not the colour!

I logged in to the ticket support and posted a response, asking them to contact Paypal because Frontline/Regace's information is posted in the Paypal payment form so we can only assume that they got the money too.

I am going to file a dispute with Paypal in the meantime and suggest you do so as well.

Hi, just to let you know I own the site to which some of the emails have been misdirected.

I have received no money via the support email address. But if it has been sent to another address @regace.com then it could be lost as I don't have forwarders for all addresses.

So get a refund from Paypal (they will realise quickly it was a null address).

I have received no money via the support email address. But if it has been sent to another address @regace.com then it could be lost as I don't have forwarders for all addresses. So get a refund from Paypal (they will realise quickly it was a null address).
