I'm wondering why with 3 million+ uniques in 2007 you didn't try to install some affiliate program links, etc. Unless the audience you attracted are just total 'web surfers freebees' with no interest in anything, seems like you could have made many, many times the $100 a day figure.

for instance, just ONE TENTH of one percent conversion on an affiliate offer with a $30 commission would have made you $90,000 in one year on top of the $3000 a month?

....any thoughts on that or were the visitors not buyers at all?

Your correct in saying that the niche I was in were not buyers. It was actually a soccer blog and I did try a number of other methods apart from adsense.

However, I could have targeted a different niche, however I struggle to write on topics that I'm not knowledgeable about, plus I lose enjoyment if it's not something I hold an interest in.

This method could be massive in the right hands, that's for sure.

It all depends on the nature of the reviews. If the reviews are just more like a salesletter, you won't get accepted onto the service.

If for example, you're doing a review on an apple iphone, talking about the features etc and then you've got affiliate links to get an iphone, that would work great.

The focus is on news worthy stuff, opinions on current news in current niche's is acceptable.

Popularity of the blog does depends on the popularity of that news topic yes.

2), I started off writing everyday, but then decided just to outsource it which was probably the best feeling ever, seeing money come in without doing anything.

1), The average from this technique alone was around $100 a day when actively using it

2), This is a scalable model for sure

3), There are the usual sort of webmaster guidelines, any site that looks spammy at all will not be accepted, that's for sure.
