Jonathan, I'll be honest... although I've liked your products in the past, I wouldn't purchase from you again. The reason is, if there is ever a support issue or a question, there is NO way to get ahold of you.

I don't usually write negative things in WSO threads, but I really feel other warriors should know that your support ... well, to say it nicely... it sucks.

Several months ago, I tried to contact you re: one of your products. About 5 days after submitting to your support desk, I got a non-answer from one of your outsourced workers. When I re-submitted for a better answer, I never heard back from anyone again.

At that time, I did a google search on you, and - much to my surprise - found you have an extremely large list of dissatisfied customers... everyone with the same complaint that they can never reach you for support.

I felt warriors should be warned before they invest their hard-earned money into a software that they may not be able to use... without additional support.

That's a shame, because I've read the opposite about my help desk. Amin, my primary support person, goes far out of his way to help folks -- even logging into their web sites and doing configurations for them that he is not obligated to do.

It's true that my staff is not 24-7. I don't believe in making my people work like dogs. They have family and social lives, too. So if somebody is expecting a response at 3a.m. on a Friday night, they won't get one until Monday afternoon. That's because I hire American and UK workers who speak, read and write English natively -- and they're paid real salaries, not scrape wages to offshore companies with barely-English-literate employees (slaves basically).

I know that makes some people unhappy, but that's the way I want to run my business. My employees are good people, and deserve good lives too.

Jonathan, I was a beta tester and do agree this is THE best spinner currently on the market.

However, I also agree with Mark Blaze above with what was the special deal did we got as beta testers? You say we got 2 free months? LOL. More like you got 2 months of FREE data that built up your thesaurus.

Let's be honest here, the software's success was greatly dependent on the beta tester's "testing" it and adding their own favorites. I was one of them and I do appreciate the free 2 months...Though I hardly feel it was a privilege ONLY for us.

Anyway, like I said this software kicks ass. Just would've appreciated a discount for being beta tester.

One other thing. I'm an affiliate and I'm promoting the software but was quite baffled as to why you even created the "Affiliate Forum" for the best spinner when you didn't even supply one bit of promo material.

You asked what we wanted yet your answer was basically "I prefer affiliates create their own promo material since it will convert better, etc..."

That may hold true but then why create the affiliate forum and ask what we wanted. I feel that some basic material to promote would help in affiliates having something to work with.

That's just my 2 cents. Hope you don't take it the wrong way. Since I do find your products very useful. Good luck with the rest of your launch. I've already made one affiliate sale and hope to make more.

Also, I usually hold paid betas, not free betas. I usually let folks beta test for me at a low price and then they get a bigger discount than everyone else because they paid to be a part of the beta. This time I did things a bit differently.

As to promo material -- my goal for the affiliate forum was not to give out canned promo material that flat-out won't work. I don't feel like that's doing any affiliate any favors. My goal was to answer questions about the software, to provide ideas and help for how to work up mailers and what works for me in terms of how often to contact your list, etc. I don't believe in canned promotional material simply because it doesn't work nearly as well as writing up a personal review.

Yes, that's exactly my point and maybe others as well. Big pay-back for the beta testers, sure of course when we BUY the software.

But bigger pay-back for you since the beta testers made the software THE BEST out there which ultimately leads to many more sales for you. Just thought a discount for beta testers was warranted.

I respect your point of view, I just don't see it the same way. Especially given how cheap I'm making the software to begin with.

To avoid this in the future, though, I'll just stick with charging people to be a part in the beta. I've never had any complaints when I did that. I didn't want to do that this time, I felt it was better for folks to be able to work with it for free and then decide, but if it's going to cause a problem I'll just stick to what was working and charge folks to beta test.

Making it a lifetime for this offer for the first few (20 up to maybe 50-orders) that order your WSO and including the Beta testers list … would me a fair compromise and stop negative comments

You just can't do it right for everybody...

I don't agree that the beta testers should get a lower price, they (me included) got free access for a few weeks to test and crank out hundreds of UNIQUE articles during that time. Saved me at least $40 bucks.

Updating the thesaurus just was part of the game and did benefit all.

BUT, as a WSO you HAVE (it's in the rules) to offer a significant different price as the public available offer.

So if the $47 offer is for everyone and their dog, beta testers, new traffic etc. then you have to offer here as a WSO a discount upon that price.

Or you start the WSO when the price goes up to $90 something.

$37, $27 ??????? Whatsoever, and you can limit it to x units, no problemo.

We have to follow the rules, even if your product is worth the price.

You can install it on as many computers as you like, just keep in mind that only one person can be logged into the same account at a time.

Actually, I think the problem is that YOU are no longer personally involved in support at any level. It's not a question of waiting till after the weekend to hear back from your team... it's a question of getting a satisfying answer when your team can't answer the question without your input.

However, based on the testimonies about this product, and since it is priced so low, I am going to take a chance on you again.

As I said originally, my issue isn't with your products, it's with your support (or lack thereof). And, I don't think you would find "jonathan leger scam" as one of the google suggestions when we type your name into google if there wasn't an over-abundance of dissatisfied customers.

I truly hope that bringing this deficiency to your attention will help you IMPROVE your customer service because, it would be a shame to have to boycott the great tools you produce.

BTW, everyone here is right. By the rules of a WSO, you MUST give warriors a lower price than you're advertising for the general public.

I agree with others...this being be a WSO, it should abide by WSO rules. You should consider lowering the price as per WSO rules. Perhaps then, you will see a much larger interest in your product.

I have been looking for a software similar to this, when I noticed your WSO. Thought I found the right product, but I would not consider purchasing it at this price.

Just think how many other warriors are thinking the same way... this translates to lost sales.

Also factor to this, the fact that your product support might not be to par... which means, we might be taking a chance with your product and at this price it is not a chance many are ready to take.

My Bank Manager is coming over to discuss our account after the 5 February. Is there any way to extend the $47 entry fee. I'm maxed out at the moment and I know thebestspinner is good, because I was a beta tester also.

I don't want to be ungrateful and I'm not saying Warriors here are, (how do I spin the word "But"?) however, I'd like to be able to purchase at the $47 though at a later date if not February, sometime in March?

I've recognised that there are still a few products that could make the difference for me this year and this is definitely one of them, IF I could pay $47 after the 5 February?

Thank for making the beta for this product free. I truly think this is the best spinner I have used. I most likely would have passed on it if I didn't get the opportunity to see how well it worked before plunking down any money.

As for support, I probably was the first to buy last night when the email said you were live. There was a payment snafu were the software wouldn't activate. I submitted a ticket and 30 minutes later (about 12:15AM) the issue was fixed.

Keep up the good work and congrats on a great product.

Did you mean "dismissive"? I'm sorry if that's how my responses sound. I'm just the kind of person who realizes that if I take every criticism to heart from everyone I don't know anything about I'd never make it anywhere in life.

I don't trust people who publicly make broad-reaching statements about how bad they feel my customer service is when I've never been personally contacted by that person. Why not just PM me and discuss the particulars of an issue when it came up?

I'm the kind of person that will go knock on my neighbors door and talk to him if I have a problem with something they're doing. I don't go announcing it to try and ruin their rep with the other neighbors. I find that a very dishonorable act, especially if it's done before ever even attempting to contact the individual in question first with the grievance.

Can you provide a ticket ID that you submitted that was never responded to? It's more likely that the response email got caught in your SPAM folder, but I'll certainly look it up if you have the ID to make sure.

Have you actually performed that search? The vast majority of the results are from affiliates using the word "scam" to draw searchers into their review which then sends the visitor on to my products. It's a marketing ploy, one that was used often enough for Google to see it as an important phrase.

Look at what comes up with "Mike Filsaime", "Frank Kern", "Joel Comm", "Brad Fallon" ... put ANY well known marketer in there and see if "scam" doesn't come up in #1 or #2. Even some lesser known folks: "Lee McIntyre" -- even "Josh Spaulding" who I've worked with for a long time and is anything BUT a scammer. It's a common marketing ploy used by affiliates.

Do you homework before making accusations please.

If you were selling the "Second Best Spinner" we would agree ever so slightly with some of the comments.

I was a beta tester for "The Best Spinner" and even tho' I was late to the party (just joined the test last week) it is an AWESOME tool, just like every other product of Jonathan's I've used and I've used most of them over the past few years.

Last Thursday, I loaded 23 different articles into "The Best Spinner" one after the other and it worked like a champ!

I've also used several other content spinners, some charged a monthly fee and some a one-time fee, all of them were more expensive, but "The Best Spinner" beats them hands down!

If you have articles that need to be rewritten and you don't take Jonathan up on this offer...well...you'll just miss out!

Before I purchased Jonathan's last wso I put his customer service to a test. I needed service on a piece of software I purchased years ago. I promptly received quick exceptional service, then I purchased the wso WebCompAnalyst. That was an amazing deeply discounted wso. I think it was available as a wso for 48 hours.

Then I Beta tested thebestspinner . I was hoping that we were being given that program, and I tested it for weeks. But it was just a short term trial. It is the best spinner I've used, with ability to automatically spin phrases, popular idioms, slang; the work flow is the smoothest of any spinner. Spun articles with this software pass copyscape, and hubpages duplicate filters. I think it is an essential tool, and it's better to pay less than $50/year than over $90/year. I can't imagine it needing much support because it's a rock solid program. Bottom line is it has by far the best thesaurus, the best workflow, and the best concept and design.

I purchased this WSO. Learning the ropes now. The videos help tremendously. I have a few curve-balls of my own I'm going to throw at this Spinner.

I had a login issue. (Not theirs... mine).

I PM'ed Jon, asked him to circumvent some of his procedures and help me directly with my challenge.

He responded almost immediately to my request...and, to my complete satisfaction.

What's the problem here? Stop raining all over this WSO.

I won't call names, but I purchased a WSO from a Warrior. My money is gone ($17), I've sent several requests for my product, all to no avail. Now that's bad business. He'll eventually nail himself.

Guys like Jon, who respond quickly and focus on customer satisfaction are a God-send.

I've purchased many of Jon's products and have always found support to be exceptional. Then again I'm from a generation that doesn't expect immediate answers. I don't expect replies over the weekend although I'm delighted when it happens.

I suspect those who have had trouble with support are in the minority, and that each incident can be justified. Jon will not leave you hanging intentionally. My experience has been that he goes out of his way to provide timely support. That's not to say I don't believe the complaints from those who have posted their opposite experience, but I'm willing to bet there are a hundred satisfied customers for every one complaint.

Jon is a stand-up guy, who creates simply amazing tools at a more than fair price. I was a beta tester for this one, and feel it absolutely lives up to its name.

I don't know Jon personally, and I have no reason to post this point of view other than to share my complete satisfaction with Jon and his amazing products.

I've put Jonathan's spinner through its paces and have come to this conclusion: This is the only spinner out there at the moment that I would consider using. It is much better than any I have found -- and I have searched for a long time! I'm pretty fussy about my material (I am a real-life writer).

As for support issues, I can't speak to them, as I have not had any problems. I'm sure that Jonathan is paying attention to the posts in this forum and will address any issues brought to his attention, and so pointedly, if I may add! It simply makes good business sense to listen to customers.

If you're looking for a good content spinner, I truly feel that you owe it to yourself to at least give this software a try. You can make your own conclusions after that.

While using the software, I found that I have not needed to send in any support tickets. It's quite easy to use.

I agree. Bashing his WSO is not cool, regardless of any bad experience someone may have had in the past. That should have been handled differently.

As far as Jon's customer service goes, I don't use it regularly, but when I did use it recently I received a reply FROM JON two hours and 13 minutes later! I still have the support ticket.

Hint: If you post a ticket during his POSTED customer service hours you'll likely get a much faster response.

By the way, the Best Spinner Rocks! The best spinner I've ever used.

Of the 5 different spinners I have used over the years "TheBestSpinner" lives up to its name.

As a beta tester I really liked seeing the improvements that were put into place.

And I assume that improvements will continue.

On the support side of things, I had a support issue the other days and had an answer within a few hours.

Can't beat that.

When all is said and done and this tread dies away, the real question will be - did you buy the product and use it to its full potential.

It's working for my Vista (aaarrrgh!!!) laptop but not my XP desktop. Might be from my end.

I can't comment on his customer service, never dealt with him before, and I haven't contacted him yet.

I do know the "TheBestSpinner" deserves its name. Mind you, I think Content Boss is very good too, but with this one you pay $47 a year instead of $27 a month, have unlimited spins, and ways to customize the spinning to your liking. Can't beat that!

Yes, I expected a deal for us Beta testers. And yes, for the times I had bad customer services with other IM products, it sucks in a way the bad taste lingers on, as seems to be the case for some here. OP should be wise to heed this even though there'll always be unsatisfied customers. Guys that offer great service like Steve Clayton get my money a lot more easily (probably too easily )


Bottom line: I STRONGLY advise getting it. It's an absolute steal at this price - and deserve its name!

Strictly yes, though one forum user said he got it to run under Ubuntu Linux using Wine. I'm working on getting it to run on Mac using Mono, but it's not there yet.

And I bashed Jon about something a couple years back. But I got to give the guy or anybody 24 to 36 hours in the business week to get back to me. My experience with his support system has never been bad over the 4 or 5 years I have been trying and buying his products.

Sorry to ask this and seem picky, but I also have a Mac. If I buy this now (I have been holding back because I figured it was Windows only) would you allow me to 'switch it out' for the Mac Version (or receive the Mac solution once you've ironed out the kinks) once you have it up and running ?

Actually, since it's a .NET Application, if I can get it to run on Mac's Mono you can use the same executable file and just copy it over. It doesn't require a new binary (I don't think).

If it does, though, both versions will be available to customers for download.
