Nicely written report for getting your head on straight to do offline consulting 'the right way'.

I've been through a couple of the 'wrong way' scenarios you describe inside. And I like your strategies for dealing with things that become money-sucking reasons for firing a client (and yes, I've done that too... AFTER full payment, of course!)

It has VERY little to do with online. Pretty much the only online thing mentioned is about autoresponders and how important it is to build a list.

We already spoke via email. But just incase anyone else had the same question...

My WSO does not specifically talk about doing prospecting via email or phone. But, I do not see any reason why that would not work. As long as you position yourself properly, you can accomplish just about anything.

And a big portion of my WSO deals with positioning yourself properly.

Wayyyy to general of a question to answer. Some will get their first client quickly. Some may take a week. Some may take a month. Some even longer.

Way too many variables.

Honestly, it depends. Not what you want to hear, I know. But I have the tough love mentality. Too many people buy things, don't do a thing with it, and then feel as if they are entitled to a refund. They take no responsibility.

Thanks for your response, I just like to know everything is going to be close to 100%, not too many barriers, to stop my success (Asking for Refund). My main concern is the forms required to do this business correctly. It appears to me that you only use one form. Does this form covers everything? I mean does it cover the initial consultation, quote, some type of consulting fees, etc. Not certain, how to ask the question, because not clear on exactly what a person is consulting. But if a person, can consult using just one form, then I am ok with your providing the one form. After you purchase the course, I am under the assumption, that their will be approximately $200.00 required to start this business appropriately, I mean from purchasing business cards, to mailers, etc. Does your company provide telephone support?

The initial in person consultation is a questionnaire. I ask a ton of questions to get to know the business and find out what I'm dealing with and how I can help.

The agreement I referred to before is the "contract" (Just not smart to call them that). Describes what you'll do, payment amount and when, details of relationship, etc.

Start up costs vary. I use direct mail, so obviously it will cost to print and mail the pieces. It isn't that much though, considering I only suggest you start mailing a list of 100-200 businesses.

I already have hosting and know how to build web pages. So I don't need to pay someone for that. No need to worry about business cards.

My "company" is just me. And no, I do not provide telephone support on a $60 (or even when it's $97) product.

Why a turn off? Vagabond knows what he is talking about.

I think the thing with 'common sense materials' is that many people are looking for a silver bullet and then don't implement the common sense bits.

If you are looking fro one particular thing that would make all the difference, and that you would be prepared to pay for (or trade for, or maybe hope to get for free), just put a question on here or any other marketing forum.

It depends what you want the outcome to be and how much you value your time and skills. How much time do you want to sepnd finding this info for free? What skill do you have that you could advertise on here (or elsewhere) that would get you that $87 quite soon? I do empathise - I have been there. In the end, I sold some articles, and something on eBay and that paid for the course I needed.

The FAQ report is something I created for anyone who is "testing the waters" with offline marketing consulting.
