Unfortunately, there is no demo website for it. Letting people to edit files on a blog... would be quite a security risk.

However, there snapshots along the very detailed instructions how to do it.

I might put up a demo blog although you could see only the end result, i.e. the widgets displayed, not how it was done.

Would this plugin allow me to place anything in the footer or header of a blog, without touching code?

I know that I can go in the EDITOR section of any wp theme and do this, but am wondering if this plugin allows for entry of ads (or whatnot) without having to go into the editor section.

For example, let's say that I want to place an Amazon banner on the header of a blog of mine, would I be able to do that with your plugin.

Sorry to disappoint you - this is NOT a plugin.

It is a manual/tutorial/guide/instructions ebook that teaches you how to do what you were just asking.

May I remind you this from the original post (sales letter) above?

Download page displayed okay, but clicking on download link produced an "internal server error" message.

Joined your list. Tried emailing the info@... email. It bounced back at me.

Email said to try the Helpdesk. No link to Helpdesk.

Surfed to domain. Got your hosting provider's error message saying domain suspended. Refreshed and got a "Site is in Maintenance Mode" page.

I hope everything's okay.

Weird... I went to bed the other night with ideas for a similar solution that's been bouncing around in my head for a while... and the next day I stumbled across this report.

I posted earlier that the download wasn't working. Someone posted in the Main Forum that Hostgator had some scheduled downtime. Maybe Istvan's server got caught up in that. Who knows?

Anyway, he sorted it out and sent me across the links pronto. Thanks for that, Istvan!

The section about widgets in the footer could have been elaborated more, I think. The way I read it, it's basically saying "Maybe, maybe not... all sorts of pitfalls lurk in this area... [insert soft-sell for services here]." For people with a bit more know-how -- but obviously not as much as Istvan & Ivan -- more details on how to widgetize the footer and what to check for would be very welcome because that'd be a neat place to have this added functionality.

Believe me, I spent the longest time while writing this report on trying to figure out how to go about the footer...
Adding a widget is never a big deal. However, styling it without breaking the overall layout of the blog - that's different for every theme and involves custom CSS.

We really appreciate this kind of constructive feedback. It helps us to enhance future revised editions!

Many, many years ago I used to have an account with them... (I completely forgot about it, actually) and I don't know what are they offering today.

Anyway, if you don't have FTP access to your site, then WP is not an option for you.
(You could ask their support about it)
