Default How to Build Mobile-Friendly Websites for Businesses - Hot Service to Offer Local Biz

How to Build Mobile-Friendly Websites for Local Businesses

Fantastic Service to Offer Local Businesses

I show you exactly how to easily create a mobile-friendly website
in my detailed videos and accompanying book.

Let me share a secret with you, just about every business I've seen is NOT optimized for mobile users. This is a serious problem, as more and more people are using mobile devices to find local businesses.

The best way to handle this is to create a second version of the business's website, one that is "mobile-friendly", and serve that ONLY to mobile users. Trust me, when you walk into a business and show the owner how terrible their website currently looks on an iPhone, they'll be more than eager to pay you to "fix" their site!

I show you exactly how to do this.

For those of you that don't know me, let me share a bit about myself. Right now the main focus of my business is online marketing for local businesses. Even though I've been doing internet marketing for over 5 years, it was recent that I turned my focuses to local businesses. Since May 2009, I have made over $23,000. I currently am pulling in over $4,300/month in recurring fees and am continuing to expand.

I am offering you a fantastic service you can use to grab clients, or offer to your existing ones...

What You Get

I created 10 detailed instructional videos (about an hour in length) that will teach you everything you need to know about setting up a mobile-friendly website for your clients.

This guide covers topics such as how to physically create the site, what it should include, how to redirect mobile users to the mobile site (so regular computer users will still just see the regular website), how to pitch your services to local business owners, and more.

This course features an hour of content, and also comes with a 12 page book that summarizes everything that was taught in the videos.

I have been creating internet marketing instructional videos for quite some time now, so it was inevitable that I would put this course out. Many have been asking for it!

===Sneak preview of this series===

This video shows you how terrible most business's websites look on mobile phones, and why they NEED this service NOW

View Video Here

I want you to understand something, I am out there working with clients.

Here are a few recent checks I received (for my search engine marketing business):

Check for $1,500 to start with a high profile client

Recurring Check from ongoing client

Recurring Check from ongoing client

What Does This Course Cover!?

This training course will show you everything you need to start setting up mobile sites for businesses:
  • Why Businesses Need Your Services: There are several reasons why businesses need this service, I go through them one by one.
  • What is a Mobile Website?: What makes a mobile website different? What do they typically look like? I share some examples.
  • Important Things to Keep in Mind When Designing a Mobile Website: Mobile users are quite different from traditional computer-based users. I discuss the important things you need to be incorporating into the design of a mobile website.
  • How to Physically Build a Mobile Website: Watch me over my shoulder as I build a mobile website from scratch in a few minutes, using a low-cost tool, and another method that is a bit more involved but gets you a sharper-looking website
  • How to Redirect Mobile Traffic to your Mobile Website: Businesses will continue to promote their main website, and I will show you how to automatically forward mobile users to the mobile site, while leaving their current website intact (so computer-based visitors still see the main website)
  • How to Convince a Business that they Need your Services: I will give you advice on how to approach business owners and hook them on why they NEED your service

This is a hot topic that I have not seen others covering on here. I recently dived into the trenches and learned how to create mobile websites the hard way, by trial and error. Skip the learning curve and watch my videos. You'll be building successful mobile websites in no time!

I bought this a few days ago and forgot to pop back in, this course is awsome, and the end results are pretty amazing, i went in without having a clue and by the end of it i had a mobile website done for a client, within 30 minutes to an hour, picked up a sweet cheque as well from it,
Highly Recomended

"Great WSO. This truly is a ground floor opportunity. So far, I haven't been able to find a single local business with a .MOBI website in my area."
- Tenaya23

"Thanks Matt! This package looks great and will dovetail right in with some other services I am offering to local business owners!"
Harbourmaster

"Matt, I Live in one of the trendier area's of London, Clapham. I purchased this this morning took a walk up the road and came home with 8 checks for £200 each and 5 complimentary meals for 2. I do have Direct sales experience but buying this was a no brainer for every restaraunt and bar owner I walked into.

I put your first Video on my blackberry, Showed it to the owner and they asked "how do I get it?" £1600 in 4 1/2 hours.

I've combined your and Maria's stuff together and am now making more money than I ever was affiliate marketing."
-Oxonbeef

Just bought this pack too... love your work. Something great to add to the seo packages offered.

The more time I spend looking at the videos with an open mind, more ideas keep churning in my brain, I really like this service as a door-opener for offline-work, since my local area is inundated with businesses (Houston) that certainly could use this service.

This really looks like the way-out from the type of work that I have been doing for the last sixteen years (technical translations), and that is just something that I started to hate (even though still pays the bills).
-Efren (egortari)

Thanks for a great WSO, very valuable information at an affordable price
- Joel (Joel Gray)

I buy all your wso since you have quality for kmart prices.
- Mentor4u

"You have produced a great WSO! The timing is perfect, too! You have produced some quality videos with easy to follow steps. You have also taken what appeared to be a "foreign" language to me and presented it in layman's terms I could easily understand. This WSO has really saved me countless hours of frustration, information overload, and handfuls of hair!

I'm excited about the opportunities and advantages having this knowledge will afford me. Thanks, again, for putting together this winning WSO!

Hey Matt,

Those first 15 went so fast. I was just watching the video and came back and they were all sold out! Do you know what the price for the last will be. Unfortunately I am not getting paid until tomorrow and probably won't make the second cut as well.

Anyways just wanted to let you know this is an amazing WSO and I can't wait to get it because I feel like it would be such an easy sell. Especially since I have a few friends with a local business and I can use theirs to make them and then use them as examples.

Thanks again,

Kevin

Thank you everyone for the positive feedback, I am glad there is so much interest in this topic

There are no plans to sell plr rights to this stuff, though I am working on some new PLR products to be released in the near future.

Upward and onward!

Hey Matt,

I just started looking at the videos and they are very well presented, kudos for that!

After glancing through the PDF document, I already have one question for you, what kind of price structure do you recommend to use for this service, for current clients and new clients?

I will continue looking through the videos and will be back with more questions.

Thanks a lot,

Efren

Hi Efren,

Yes, that really is the million dollar question isn't it, "How much do we charge for this service?"

I left that out of my presentation, because it is something that could vary depending on:

1) how elaborate of a website the business wants
2) how big their market is
3) whether or not they will be pursuing additional services with you

For example, I see that some restaurants put their entire menu on their mobile website. That would cost a heck of a lot more than a simple 4 page site.

I can crank out a simple website in about 20 minutes using the resources I provide in the guide. That's pretty crazy isn't it? I am planning on using this as a way to get my foot in the door and plan on charging $200 for it as a one-time service. Of course the main objective is to get that business to pay me $500 and up per month to do SEO work

I'd love to hear what others have to say about price points. This is a very specific service, and frankly I haven't seen it offered anywhere. I could see charging +$1,000 or more for this service. What do you guys think?

Matt

Matt,

Are you currently selling this service NOW to offline businesses as it seems this may be in "test" phase. Just curious to know the type of feedback you have been getting from offline folk. Do they *get* it?

Thanks, looks like a promising angle for getting in with local businesses and there is tremendous value in learning how to do this right.

Hey Christopher,

Thanks for your interest. Yes, I am currently selling this service to my clients, and it is going well. Please note, I have not advertised this service to get new clients yet (though plan to do it very soon), so I already have access to a few things that makes it much easier to pull off the sale.

As I explain in the course, you can look at your client's statistics and see how many people are accessing their site through mobile devices. When you share that with a present client, and then show them how terrible their site looks, it is hard for them to say no!

I am assuming we need an iphone to really make this work. Or could we use newer ipod that has built in Wifi?

Let me know when you may offer rights to this as I would love to set up a training on this to offer my offline consultant gang.

Hey Christopher,

No, you do NOT need an iphone or other smart phone to get this to work. There is a website you can use that shows you what websites look like on smartphones, its pretty cool. You can even email clients this information, sending them a link to what their site looks like simulated on a smart phone. It is very eye-opening.

Hi Booyaah,

Do you have google analytics installed on your client's website? There is a tab right in there that says "mobile devices" and you simply click on that to see how many people have been accessing through that.

Whenever someone accesses a website, the logs store what user agent accessed it. You just need to make sure you have a statistics program that shows you this in an easy to understand fashion.

I just checked awstats and they also show useragents. My current version doesn't break it down into mobile devices, but you can just go through the list yourself and note where it says "blackberry" and so forth.

Johnny,

Sorry to hear you are having troubles. I just pm'ed you. We'll figure it out

Matt

Matt,

Have downloaded the zip and am starting to view the videos. Before I "lock down" to work on these I have a suggestion that you might like to consider.

Here it is - numbering .

What you say, well here's the thing I have a tool that always me to preview zip files and to preview read/play the contents of zip [a great time saver] so files can be sorted into alpha order by extension etc. My suggestion is that if your numbering of files audio/video/pdf etc is going to exceed 9 then if you use a numbering system of 01, 02 ..... 10, 11 all files will appear listed in correct order rather than 1, 10, 2, 3.

This is the system I personally use and know that it saves me time.

Anyway just my 2cents worth.

Signing off now to view the videos.

Hi Gary,

Yes, I strongly suggest you unzip the files before viewing them. They will unzip into a directory that will contain a menu. You simply use this menu to view the files in order. I'm not sure what your tool does, but for others out there, if you try viewing the videos without unzipping it can cause problems.

Thanks!

Hi Deltamatrix,

I talk about that in the course, but basically businesses that people are accessing through phones (think retail services like restaurants, hotels, etc.). People will be visiting an area and will use their phone to find, for example, a local restaurant.

That being said, I'm finding that all of my client's sites are being accessed via phones. As time moves forward, more and more people are using smartphones for everyday browsing.

Hi Don,

Thanks for your interest and the complements

Yes, I show you in my guide how to set things up so when a regular user visits they are sent to the regular website, and all mobile users are redirected to the mobile site.

This is a piece of code that you put in place, I take you through it step-by-step and is a very valuable thing to have. It took me hours of experimenting with different ways on how to handle this to find the best way to do it. I'm glad to share that with you.

Hey Matt. This looks very cool and could integrate nicely with my existing SEO business. Am curious to see what others have to say about the strategy towards selling it. (I don't believe the hype when I hear "it sells itself" Are you getting THAT, camera guy?!) Anyway, you can't beat the price so I'll save up my Adsense for a few days and be back. Nice WSO.

Matt,

Just came on board but have not had a chance to see your content yet.

Q1 Can the Mobile Website be made to work also for normal web browsers (ie if a small business has no website, will your website work as a basic HTML page for computer browsers)?

Q2 Do I have to make contact with an existing website's webmaster to make your website work for mobile devices?

Regards,

Patrick

Hi Poregan,

Thanks for your interest.

1) The mobile website would work in a normal browser, though it isn't going to look nice. Mobile websites are designed to be very small, and it really isn't possible to have a site optimized for both. That is why it is recommended to have a regular page as well as mobile page. My course shows you how to set it up so people will visit the regular page, and if they are on a mobile device, they will automatically be forwarded to the mobile version (never even seeing the regular webpage).

2) Yes you do, you will need to either put something on that site, or ask the webmaster to do it.

Please let me know if you have any additional questions,

Matt

Hi oxonbeef,

As I live in Ireland, I was interested in your experience selling Mobile Websites to restaurants on this side of the Atlantic.

You make it sound really easy!

Any chance you could elaborate a little more on your particular approach and is it still going well for you?

Hi Nickie,

No, outsourcing is not covered in detail, though I would be happy to share thoughts with you privately, and may also add a video regarding this if there is enough interest.

Thanks!

Hi Matt,

Just wanna ask you a quick question, doesn't this pit you against the local business' original web developer? Have you encountered much resistance or problems with the business' original webmaster or developer?

When I come into a business's life, I frame myself as a marketer, not so much a web designer. Even though building a mobile site is more of a web designer thing, I position it as one of my marketing services.

I come right out and introduce myself to the web designer, and make it clear that I am not there to steal their work, and that I am offering a service that is complimentary to them. I have had a few people appear stand-offish at first, but that goes away pretty quickly.

This has actually led to me taking on a web designer as a client, and I also have partnerships with other designers where they send me leads and vice versa

The web designers I've ran into are pretty narrow-focused. They do what they do, and like to keep it that way and don't see me as a threat.

In a few cases, the web designer was non-existant and the clients actually brought web design up to me.

Hello Matt,

I have a quick question for you regarding this package that I bought from you, does the changes at the main website would detect when somebody is trying to connect to that site from an iPod, instead of an iPhone?

I tried your website htp://localecommercesolutions.com using my iPod and it did not send me to the page htp://localecommercesolutions.com/mobile

Thanks for your prompt reply,

Efren

Hi Matt,

Great WSO. This truly is a ground floor opportunity. So far, I haven't been able to find a single local business with a .MOBI website in my area.

A couple of questions:

Besides restaurants and Pubs, what other businesses would this appeal to? I'm thinking services like locksmiths, towing companies or auto repair shops. Any other suggestions or opinions?

As to the matter of pricing, I understand the one time fee to start out, but it seems that this could lead to recurring income. Are you charging for hosting or monthly updates to the website; like say for updating monthly specials being run by a restaurant, or are you just pushing the domain and hosting to the business for them to deal with themselves?
