Okay folks,

I am what I would term a Twitter power user. In the area of 150,000 followers spread across a number of accounts. I was fortunate enough to get a review copy of this software . . . so there is your disclaimer. :-)

The software is a hot little item. I have tried just about everything out there and own some of the most expensive Twitter software out there . . . so I think I'm probably qualified to say what's hot and what's not . . . and this is hot.

There were a couple of items that I had a question about, emailed Jay and he promptly responded . . . and with good answers.

Nice interface, very intuitive. Easy to figure out without too much brain damage without the guide. No brain damage at all with the guide.

I love you way follows, unfollows, searches etc work! VERY natural. Well thought and well done.

I like the integration with Socialoomph but will have to try it out some more.

The way the scraper and the generator work are great, as well as the work flow that has been built into the whole app.

One thing that is of special interest to me. I used this on an existing account that I already have some automation working on. The number of followers that I got back is of a much greater percentage than with the other software I use. So I would like to figure out why. Clearly it's doing something right.

Oh, and well worth the coin IMO.

All in all very impressed.

If you used the Ignore users with no pictures and Ignore users that have links in latest\searched tweet feature, I think they are the reasons why you got more users followed you back.


With those options turned on, you are following more active users because many accounts that dont have any picture are bots or no longer active.

I was lucky enough to get a review copy of Tweet Attacks and have been playing with it for the past couple of hours, then I remembered 'I should post a review', so I dragged myself away and here I am.

Well first off, the interface is clean and easy to navigate. Managed to figure most of it out and only had to refer to the user guide to clarify a few bits.

Oh, the user guide is short enough to be readable and long enough to offer a detailed decription of how to use all functions.

It's got some great features and 2 of my favourites are the tweet scraper and the support for spin syntax in the poster and reply generator modules.

The tweet scraper is great if your pushed for time or like me you end up stumped on what to tweet, specially when you log in on one of your alias's. This works really well in pulling stuff from the web in tweet sized chunks. Love it!

The schedule generator in the posting module is great. It would be nice to have a way to randomize the generated times but anyway it is easy enough to change a few of the time stamps before posting.

The follow module allows you to find and follow people targeted by using twitters advanced search function giving you a lot of room to maneuver.

As gacott mentioned above it is integrated with Socialoomph. I signed up for a free account with them but haven't tried or figured that bit out yet.

All in all Tweet Attacks is a great app, it works well and it works fast.

To use the socialoomph scheduling feature you must first add your twitter accounts in your socialoomph account. You can find the menu in left sidebar of socialoomph
Social Accounts->Add New Account->Add Twitter

After adding your twitter accounts to socialoomph accounts you can now add the accounts to TweetAttacks

Accounts->Manage->Socialoomph Accounts
and link your twitter account to your socialoomph account in
Accounts->Manage->Twitter Accounts

One of the really great things about this app is the fact that it IS integrated with IE (never thought I would say that).

How to follow targeted users?

1. Switch to the follow module
2. Browse to twellow.com in the apps address bar
3. search for your niche
4. Pick an account from that niche with a lot of followers
5. Right click on the accounts twitter name, save short cut
6. Paste that short cut into the location bar/enter
7. Follow

Whole process done in less than a minute and you are now naturally following TARGET users AND chances they are real because you are able to filter out spam users from your follow.

Ive been developing softwares for years and designed many softwares for different type of audiences. I understand that user interfaces are very crucial. "If it cannot be used by my mother then it is not worth selling." this is one of principles when it comes to user interfaces. If you did not invested much time in the design at the development phase. The time you need to invest with it during the implementation and maintenance phase of the product will get multiplied as you may need to support a lot of users and you might get have a lot of problems scaling it.

If you notice on the current. It will be a lot easier for us to add many more features with that approach and exactly is the plan. To add more features based on your feedbacks.

One important thing with this feature is that, this feature will make you look like an expert in any niche lol as tweet scraper is copying phrases from different sites. Im getting a lot of mentions and replies with this one lol.

Yes. It is one my biggest problems before when Im still using other tools out there. There are no functionality to search and follow within certain demographic locations and languages and I noticed twitter already have a very powerful search feature that supports it and thats why I decided to just leverage with it and added follow all functionality.

It not just for less task on my side but its because many twitter users already familiar with it. I dont want to ruin the already established user experience. As Steve Jobs said "Software is all about user experience".

If I redesigned it, you will need to get familiarized again to the new interface and that kills the overall objective of the project which is FOR US TO SAVE TIME.

Yes US, we are also using this tool in our marketing campaigns and it is one of the reasons why the features evolved that way.

Yup.. We want to make it appear natural as much as possible. Before we released this product, I got a lot accounts banned because I first thought that faster is always better but it is not always in the case of twitter because if you follow too fast you might raise a red flag to twitter anti spam bots and get your account banned.

But with TweetAttacks you can still put the delays to 0 for faster results though. it still monitors your limits so it is still safer.

However, i would suggest to add a button to let the user choose between using the API or Web.
Personally i would always choose Web, as API only has it's limitations while Web looks more human and has more trust for followers and has no limitations as you let the software act as a human user.

I wonder how your update system works.
I did not get an email for your last 2 updates and there is no "check for updates" button in the software.
So i'm lucky i check this thread to found out there is an update again.
This need absolutely improvement in my opinion.

Im almost finish with the auto updater now. It will be available in version 1.2.2.

As Ive discussed with Garrett yesterday, Im am now designing the Multi user tweet poster module which multiple accounts can tweet simultaneously but feature will take time to test. No release date yet.

For the mass DM.. I postponed that in my list because personally I dont have much luck selling in twitter using DMs.. I am getting more results in tweets. Maybe it is just me so I might take a look again.

If you have suggestion on the UI of mass DM, it will be very much appreciated, that will be good start.

As Ive discussed with Garrett yesterday, Im am now designing the Multi user tweet poster module which multiple accounts can tweet simultaneously but feature will take time to test. No release date yet.

As of the moment, the functionalities of the software can be applied to the account currently logged in.

That's ok.
But using the scheduler it would be great to use it like my example in my last post.
In that case you can set it and forget it, and mass Retweet your own Tweets with multiple accounts.

Well, you have more success because a Tweet is oepn to click for everyone instead of a DM so it result in more clicks.
The DM feature would be nice but shouldn't have to be on your priority list though.
I definetely would love to see all the other features i requested.

I'll think about it more, i haven't used all the features for so far (like the scraper, etc.).

Yes, in my list I have two improvements right now in the auto follow module.

1. Ability to select between API and web (though right now API is being used when following from search results)
2. Follow users in random order (right now it is following from top to bottom) to make it even more natural. This makes twitter even harder to notice that it is automated.

Now Im thinking about how can I incorporate your requests above. Auto retweeting the tweet of one of your accounts. Right now you can do this by copying the tweet and adding in other accounts lists(tweets) and load it in multi poster module.

By the way, you can manually edit the saved tweets. They are located in TweetAttacks Install Directory\CollectedTweets\AccountName so you dont need to login each account just to add lines in the tweets.

Jay,

I have issues with login to my accounts.
Right now i loaded 11 accounts but when i click to sign in it keep looping the login for the account.

So it enters the login and password and then it looks like it does a page refresh or something, as it keep doing the same over and over again.

Im not that familiar with tweetadder because I dont have it but based on my research. First advantage of course is the price, they are selling $55 for single account. With tweetattacks you can get it now at 34$ with UNLIMITED number of accounts.

Second TweetAdder uses API which is very very limited and filtered by twitter. TweetAttacks DONT RELY ON API. Sending requests without the API gives you higher limit.

API is limited to only 150 requests per hour which other tools not even checking which lead to most accounts getting banned. Using the API is just like telling twitter anti spam bots that you are using a bot.

The ability to ignore users with no pictures, ignore users who tweet links, who helps you filter spammers, the tweet scraper, retweet generator, reply generator, posting and scheduling tweets using the web and the socialoomph integration i believe are all unique with tweet attacks.

We are also currently adding two modules
Wait and Tweet - This feature allow you to set your target keyword and TweetAttacks will wait for that keywords to appear in the realtime tweet searches and automatically reply to that tweet. Imagine you are promoting Mac and someone tweeted "Im looking for a mac", tweetattacks will automatically reply to that message. You just set it once and tweetattacks will do it for you.

Those 2 modules will be added in next updates of tweet attacks which I believe tweetadder dont have (I may be wrong).

IMO you need to be very careful with this one. I know a couple of guys who developed software just to do this and quickly got all accounts they were testing with banned. Just a note of caution.

With that said . . . as I have said before, I think your software is awesome.
