Hey Motorman, I was curious how long I should allow for an article to propagate throughout your network? I searched through this thread but I couldn't find the answer. I only ask because I have a few articles that's been propagated 100% while I have a few that's stuck at 32% for almost 48 hours. The rest are at 0% still waiting to be propagated, I just want to make sure there wasn't something I'm doing wrong.

YOu will have to excuse the delay guys. My programmer has decided to take the day off before the changes were fully coded in. I know it has some a little concerned but, that is really meaningless as these articles are loaded in the queue and you will be JUST FINE in another day---- LOL

It is for the betterment of the system what we are changing to make sure ALL STAY happy for many years!!!

For highly competitive keywords you can barf out millions of backlinks overnight and gain a spike in your rankings, but in order to keep those rankings you will need to maintain that rate - which can be a hassle to feed. Slower is always better.

You need unique articles if you're trying to get that article ranked high on Google. But that is not the purpose here. You're creating backlinks, which are valid regardless of article uniqueness.

Please correct me if I'm wrong - but aren't you only going to get a back link if the article is indexed. Are you suggesting that Google is going to index 500 identical articles - or somehow give you credit for 1500 back links coming from 500 identical articles. I have to think that Google's algorithm is a bit more sophisticated than that.

NO--- You are wrong and Google is not more sophisticated as, you think they are looking at the article is identical...

Let me try to explain where your mistake is---- First, each site is totally different on its own merits... You are not looking to get rank on each article, your backlinking them.... Each article can be pulled via RSS feeds and they do get pulled to many other sites from mine which gives you MORE back links! Google does in fact INDEX each article, on each site, ONE TIME for each site... Call it a time stamp... This is why you drip feed them... Now, Google sees that the article is the same as the one it just looked at over on site "A" and it gives now weight to the article for rank, only for backlinking purposes as it should... WHY?? Site "A" gets the ability to get rank on the article, and site "B" gets to give it link juice along with site "C" and so forth....

Now, since you believe that Google is smarter then that... I pose this question which is the easiest to answer of all----

When the AP newswire sends out a story--- it goes to a few thousand news sites and such--- The story is republished on at least 2000 sites in minutes and 5000 sites in a day----

How come Google lists this story when you search it--- with 30 or more sites when it knows it is the same story??? Why doesn't it only list it once??? And why does it rank the story with 3-6 different site and 3-6 different keywords???

When you would like the answer--- Please ask! LOL I do have it and I want to see if there is a few bright Warriors who know it as well...

The good old Google dance!!! Let's tango baby!!!!!! You will get moved at least 12 spots from what everyone else reports on this thread... I will not give you my biased opinion. I will point to many on this thread that have report excellent results due to Link Racer alone... If you read this thread, and it is self serving for me of course---- You will find at least 10 posts that have warriors stating how much they moved in the SERP's due ONLY to link racer. One moved from I believe 25 place to 12th in 4 days--- Then reported he went to 7th place I believe...

Please review the posts and PM the writers if you do not believe they are true. So far so good, I'm still new to the IM game (3 months) honestly but I found 13 keywords that I'm trying to target for my product. I pretty much have them listed from easier ones that shouldn't be to hard to move to the first spot and the ones that's going to be a beast to try and tackle any time soon.

For one of the easier keywords I've been focusing on had me at the top of page 2 in the Google rankings. I have all my 12 articles submitted for this month and so far so good for this keyword alone. I moved from page 2 to the 3rd spot on page 1 so far! Granted this position probably only nets me an extra 10 clicks per day but hey 10 FREE clicks is better than paid or no clicks at all! I still have a ways to go I know for the other keywords I'm targeting but this is a great start for me.

This is actually one of my best testimonials and an outstanding use of your linking power to go the way you have after, lower volume key words... Being smart and not trying to tackle the heavily used keywords until you get somewhere with the lower ranked ones is SMART! Then you will gradually add more articles to your array and get those harder to tackle keywords with a site you have a ton of back links on already and thus, you will be a more powerful site in any event...

This is an accurate analysis. Just because the articles are the same, doesn't mean that the backlinks won't get indexed. They just may not rank because of duplicate content. But just like motorman says, Google ranks duplicate content all the time, just look around. And no, their algorithm is not nearly as advanced as people give it credit to be. I learn this fact anew everyday.

Don't have time to give too long post, but just want the credits. So basically there's no such thing as duplicate content unless it's on the same site. The same article can be on different sites and google will index them, because article consists of words which all make thousands of keywords(depending on the lenght of article) and the same article can get ranked for different keywords. So lets say that there's an article which has this sentence: "Most Internet marketers don't know what duplicate content really means." And the article is on 2 different sites. So the first site may rank for "Internet marketers" the other site for "duplicate content." And if there are more sites they would also rank but for something else.

All in all it comes down to customer experience. Google wants its customers to have a good experience and they do that by giving the information customer wants. The thing with articles and why they get ranked for different keywords is that different people might find different parts of the same article useful.

Google sometimes also indexes the same articles for the same keywords to some extent, but most of them end up in "omitted results".

If i put an article in with one of 3 links allowed pointing back to a page on my site for a particular keyword i.e. "blue pig", what would be the recommended amount of articles that i could put into link racer for the same keyword to the same page on my site?

Could i put in 2 or more articles a week with the keyword "blue pig" pointing to the same page on my site, or would this be too many too quickly?

I would still send in articles to other pages on my site with different keywords, but i don't know if i could get away with targeting one keyword for one internal page a certain number of times.

Hope you know what i mean.

This is a great question and it depends upon how many links you have already. What is the keyword? How many are fighting to get rank with that keyword... You are good sending your link back to the home page... 2-3 times a week is nothing! I do it 20-30 times on some sites... I suggest that you point to existing articles and internal pages as well, but surely not exclusively either.... Grab the other ANCHOR TEXT REPORT if you have not already... It is in my sig...
