No they won't fix them this is the reason thousands of blogs are hacked each and every year... They can not fix the holes because everytime they do the hackers know exactly what they done.

I have to say, I've benefited James' tips on this thread pasted right below were immensely beneficial in helping me secure my WordPress:
My wordpress blog hacked - again!

Several of my WordPress sites were hacked (as well as non-WordPress scripts, a directory script, and membership scripts I paid for). Some of the hacks were truly scary like one that used one of my sites as a launch pad to send out fraudulent Bank of America emails to extract innocent victims' financial information. Crap like that could land the wrong person in jail!

The most common hacks were ones based out of Turkey, who took their grievances and disputes out online on such sites as one I set up to help pets in shelters get adopted. They'd deface my sites with images of soldiers, curses against Israel and Norway (what homeless dogs and ferrets have to do with these hackers' grievances is beyond my understanding)

Anyway, after implementing James' suggestions to secure WordPress, hackers were no longer able to penetrate my WordPress sites, though my server did report that hackers were still targeting them, sometimes slowing my sites down.

Wordpress Secure would definitely be a wise investement. I say this, having already benefited from James' /The RichJerksNet expertise in this area, without having it yet. Getting it all in one resource would be very nice.

After I've observed with James' posts about securing wordpress.

Hacker still never know exactly how to hack into your WP because James' method will produce vary result on each blogs.

It's all about hiding the footprints generated by 'default' Wordpress. So, you can hide with your own approach and hacker should 'guess' to hack your blog.

However, I don't know much in detail on James' guide but if you're using Wordpress, you will always benefit from it.

My product actually works, just read the above replies. My solution will take your wordpress to a secured mode that hackers will not be able to do anything with because they will not know how you changed your wordpress.

Just follow the step by step guide.. Really you do not need any skills. I mean basic knowledge of html could help but really not needed. I give full instructions along with screenshots.

You should not be using that auto update plug-in .. Its a security risk..

Security means taking things into your own hands and locking your site down yourself and not rely on some plug-in..

Questions are perfectly ok ..lol

Plug-ins I do not have an issue with but with my solution and the auto update plug-in things will not work as the auto update will mess up your security.

To do the security should not take longer than 1 or 2 hours.. I did it in 30 minutes but ofcourse I have been doing this for years. The security solution I have does not effect your current plug-ins but there is a bonus section in my ebook that will explain how to make your plug-ins more secure.

The auto plug-in should not be used at all in my opinion.

My solution will protect your wordpress, the version does not matter. I do ask that you update before going through my step by step guide which I based on 2.6.1

I also include a section to help protect thos plug-ins you use.. My solution will not effect any plug-ins..

First thank you for your purchase..

My method changes the coding of wordpress and because it does if you want to upgrade then you will need to redo the steps I outline to change that coding again. WordPress coding is the entire problem here with all these blogs getting hacked.

This has nothing to do with the version but I stated the version I used so the reader would know. If wordPress releases a new version that contains more files or different files than those files would need changed also. In my step by step I listed the files that are in 2.6.1

You will need to redo if you choose to upgrade, but fact is I would rather spend that 30 minutes to redo it (if I really wanted teh upgrade) vs taking a risk of my blog being hacked.

WordPress itself will not protect your blog from being hacked no matter how many times you update because the hackers get those same updates and because of this they know what was changed.

Using my method hacker have no idea what was changed and because they have no idea they can not hack it.

However, thanks for creating this great resource. Wordpress security has always been a concern, for sure.

Now, if someone would just post a WSO on how to disable the 'wonderful new' (arghhhh) theme preview feature on the latest versions of WP, I would be a very happy camper. You used to be able to just click the theme you wanted and it would automatically install. Now that wretched preview feature loads in - can take up to five minutes here to change a theme now while the preview loads, then another minute or so to activate the theme. I know there aren't many people still on dial-up, but for those of us who are, these seemingly wonderful features added to a site that worked just fine without them are most exasperating. There, my rant for the night.
