I've not explained myself very well. The $10 ongoing is the value of the on
going keyword lists, new niche discovery etc. When I setup my membership
site, this will be the minimum entry level fee. But for the sake of this WSO,
the monthly fee is waived.

Here's where I'm coming from: I have developed hybrid offpage optimization strategies whereby I am now capable of dominating Google 1ST Page SERPS (6 to 9 positions) for business clients without interfacing at all with a client's website. Additionally, > 30% of my my keyword optimizations control Google Map 1-boxes.

Buyer Keyword research is paramount, so I am proactively searching for tools capable of providing superior intelligence than Google's keyword tool, Market Samurai, etc.

I received the following from Ed Dale's thirtydaychallenge email today which directly begs the question I am presenting to you:

In a recent article on Google's blog they actually came out and said that 70% of their search results aren't served from the keywords people are typing in, but they're affected by *synonyms*...

Synonyms (in Google's search world) are related words to the keyword which has been typed in. So if someone has typed in "Digital Camera" as a search keyword, then Google will serve up results not just for "Digital Camera" but also for "Canon" and "Nikon", because these are semantically related synonyms to the original keyword of "Digital Camera" (i.e. they belong in the keyword sub-set of "Digital Camera").

The problem lies in creating all the quality content in order to target that massive 70% of the search traffic.

What this means for us, is that in order to tap into the 70% of the results being served (i.e. the synonyms) we need to be targeting a bucket load of other semantically related keywords in addition to our target keywords, otherwise we're now going to miss out on the lions share of the search traffic.

First of all, it's just not practical to go creating thousands of extra pieces of original and quality content for each of these synonym keywords, and secondly, if you place all the tons of semantic keywords in all your current content you're just going to get a big fat slap from Mr Google for spammy keyword stuffing - either way, you're kinda screwed!

The above represents, perhaps, conventional wisdom. If you do not agree, please set the record straight.

Hi Alan,

Thank you for your question. Ed’s right, most keywords used everyday are unique searches, therefore trying to get historical data is impossible. You have to think outside the box, wherever that is, to second guess what might or might not be searched on. If you’re not careful in the way you create keywords, it can look very spammy, and unnatural. However, if you apply a bit of intelligence, you can create keywords that are not spammy but natural search engine prospects.

Let’s takes the digital camera niche as an example.

If you had a list of camera models, let’s say for Canon Powershot, and you only found a couple of keywords with your tools. You can organically grow your list into a complete database of Canon Powershot digital cameras. If you had generic digital cameras in your keyword list, but no models mentioned, again, with a database, you can expand your list in a natural way. By using decent alternatives when you grow your list, you’ll unearth keywords that your keyword mining tools haven’t dug up yet (if they ever will). Most of these tools use the Google Adwords Keyword tool, and only pickup keywords that have been bid on by PPC advertisers. They do not get their data from natural search engine traffic.

Another example is if you work with offline businesses. Let’s say ‘London Dentists’. Doing some keyword research will dig out dentists in certain towns in London, but you really have to dig several layers deep, and recycle your keywords back into your root keywords to start to pull out a lot of the towns. I’ve spent over an hour and a half doing this, and still didn’t get all the towns that were bid on. I used Keyword Evolution Pro, and my London town list to grow a huge keyword list that I then fed into the Adwords tool, and got data on keywords that were bid on, and never found by in the normal way. Had I done this to begin with, I would have saved a lot of time.

If you generate huge lists of buyer keywords, then you can use Keyword Evolution Pro to subniche into logical groups, and build your properties on those. So if I take my London Dentist example, I can subniche into Boroughs, and build blogs for each Borough, either as subdomains, or as separate discrete domains. Or if I decide to grow my list nationally with my database, subniche into Counties for a domain, and then Boroughs/Towns for subdomain blogs.

For content, I use my own article spinner that interfaces with keyword lists and/or databases, and several articles, to provide good quality unique articles covering all the keywords I want to cover. On average, my articles are 80% unique, and read very well. They’re posted right into my blogs on autopilot, so I never need to touch them again.

In years gone by, yes I have used several thousand keywords in my projects. Not 64,000 that Keyword Evolution Pro is easily capable of creating, but probably about 25 to 30 thousand. However, these were used with one of my autosite/blog builders and subniched. I don't build huge sites like that anymore, but only because I've changed direction. Just because Keyword Evolution Pro can generate H U G E keyword lists doesn't mean I'd always use them in one project.

I disagree with you here... Once you have a list of generated keywords, you can use the Google Adwords Keywords Tool to provide you with Marketing Intelligence. Yes, the Google Tool might return you other keywords if you don't feed many keywords, but that's not the purpose of Keyword Evolution Pro, it's a function of the Google Tool. The data might not always be promising in terms of traffic, but those figures are PPC traffic values, and hugely different in most cases from organic searches.

If I was to get back into the building of large networks, I would use several tools. RSS feed autoblogging tools, high quality spun articles etc.
