This offer sounds great, but first... 1. Can you tell us about the site because demographic targeting is very important when running a banner ad? 2. Can we run our own tracking software in our ads to make sure the 1,000,000 impressions are met and that we are getting a decent CTR? 3. Can we use ads that direct link to an affiliate or CPA offer? Thanks Louise. |

Yep, Woody it's an Internet news/media site.. so there's a wide range of interests hitting the site, which receives a massive volume of traffic each day. The owner has plans to get highly targeted traffic if this trial works out well.. the entire project could be really really beneficial to all of us. It works like this, you create your advert in the marketplace just like a forum thread, once you publish it, it instantly appears on all 60,000 pages in the newswire. Your advert will appear on all those pages, and you can link to any website on your advert page. I would say this: Make your title eye-catching, it's going out across a lot of pages and will be seen by lots of people, so you want as many of them to click on the ad as possible. You'll get the impressions, getting people to click on your advert comes down to your headline - I can't make people do that ![]() Yep MJGrae it's a text ad that links to a forum thread that contains your offer. Non-WSO users are charged a monthly fee.. however WSO users just make a one time only payment. |

Is this a UK based site? At this time I can only use US based traffic. How many months will the ad appear? How many $USD is 10 pounds? Thanks! |

I'm going to drop you a line now Sidley to get that fixed.. you should be able to post straight away. Hi Cassman, it's a UK based site that receives most of its traffic from the USA.. the currency rates change from day to day and your ad will be there for good. Hi Joe, yep it's a one time fee and your ads will run forever |

Will it be possible to change the ad copy and destination URL, or is it "set it and forget it"?

Hi Cassman, you can change the copy as you see fit.. it's just like a WSO thread (but can be used for any niche). Hi Joe, make your post and go to publish, it will take payment before the thread goes live. |

Hi Louise, I have 2 types of products... one that is geared toward business owners and the other that is geared toward business opportunity seekers & IMers. Which type of ad would be most appealing to the traffic at this site (since we don't know demographics, it's difficult to know which way to go with this). On the other hand, if the site is a mixture of both types of traffic, let me know. I might want 2 ads. Also... You mention in a post that we "pay once and our ad stays on the site forever"... - is that true? - does the ad get pushed to page 100000 so nobody ever sees it again? Inquiring minds want to know. :-) |

Yep that's true, you pay for your thread once.. and that's it. There's no charge for bumps, so ads can be bumped back up to the top of the list (there's several checks in place to make sure that nobody tries to game this system). Hi Cassman, it's a vbulletin forum the same as this one, making threads should be exactly the same ![]() Hi Mark, I'll drop you a PM now. | |

OK I'm PMing you guys now.. it shouldn't be doing that, I guess it's teething problems with new tech. We'll get it sorted ![]() Also the webmaster is emailing anyone who's experienced problems to make sure you're able to create your thread. |

Hi Louise, I made payment but have no idea how to post my ad. Also, am I able to update my ad any time I want (to get better conversions)? Lastly, are we still able to purchase more than 1 ad (yesterday it said you could purchase up to 15 threads and today it only allowed 1). |

Hey ![]() I know the webmaster is emailing people who haven't posted their ads yet to make sure they aren't having any problems (and solving those who are). Yep you can update, edit, change, do anything you like to your ad once published.. it's your thread, you own it and can do whatever you like with it. The number of ads is back to 15 now. |

So your "ad" is a thread in a forum, similar to a WSO? Does that mean that the thread title is the text ad that appears throughout the site? If that's the case, it seems the answer to my question about changing it any time you want would be moot. I mean, if you changed the title to this thread today, for example, and the original post as well, then the rest of the thread would make no sense a new viewer. That is something you wouldn't want to do, I have to imagine. Hence the idea of buying multiple ads/threads... Can someone answer the question about what the cost was/is in US dollars yesterday/today? Thanks! |

Yep, you are correct, it's the same way WF or SP does it. You can change the title/thread copy at anytime. And it appears on all 60,000 news pages across the site. Check this out for currency conversions XE - Universal Currency Converter |

Alright guys, your ads will be appearing asap ![]() The webmaster thinks it could be something to do with the currency, as he had it set to Pounds Sterling (£10) - he's changed it to American Dollar ($14) to see if it makes a difference. Would be cool if you let me know if it makes a difference. You only pay once. Not on a monthly basis. The ad will appear (much like adwords or any other textual ad) on the site.. the site receives over 1 million page views a month |

Louise, I've taken a look at the site. How long does an advert appear on all 60k pages? It seems like it would be pushed down by the next round of adverts pretty quickly. There's only what appears to be a block of about 7 or 8 ads. |

The block contains 20 ads and will be expanded if it's popular, because it's new there's only 7 or 8 ads in the system at the moment - you're seeing all the ads. If a thread is bumped by a poster it will go straight back to the top of the list for free (bumping your own thread is not allowed).

It it comes down to how effective your offer is. I'll help you get tons of eyeballs looking at the ad, it's up to you to make them click it, I'm not going to offer false hope.. if you have a poor offer, this isn't a magic bullet to make it a better one - all the normal rules of marketing still apply. Yep you can include affiliate links in your ad, it's your thread.. you own in and can post whatever you like in it.

Looks interesting Can we insert adsense into our ad or banners? I understand the text headline, however, when I viewed some ads, which I assume are the ones in the marketplace section, they all seem just to have written text with links? |

Hello Louise, I saw you have Brazilian traffic. Can I get traffic by my country? Because my banner will not work to english language. Maybe I will get my link in another website but no sales. If I am not wrong.. I will pay 14$ once and will get our banner having 1million impression FOREVER? For all next months? Is that right? IN my case, trying to promote a brazilian web store.. will this work? Tks |
