A video sitemap reads flash extensions on your site and sends this information to the SERP's. It doesn't read Youtube's videos. Youtube has their own sitemap on their own domain which reads flash extensions on their site and sends it to the SERP's.

No conflicts that I'm aware of.

It is a WP plugin, and adds a blog/videositemap.xml page automatically to your blog site. Inside the settings, you can add 3rd party pages to be included on the sitemap page.

This has nothing to do with video sharing sites marketing. This is about getting videos on your website, flash videos, indexed and in the SERP's.

this looks like a cool plug-in, but i'm also curious whether the first-page rankings shown in the demo are a direct result of the video sitemap, or if those pages would have ranked high on their own, due to a lot of backlinks and on-page SEO. I think the $77 price is pretty reasonable, but I'd like to hear some positive feedback before I spend the time to install this plug-in on all of my blogs (I have more than 50) and train my team how to use it...

What I really want to know is if I embed Youtube or Viddler videos on my blog will they create / be included in the sitemap generated from my site? As you know youtube will server the media faster and cheaper than if I used my own hosting.

I can't understand why you'd think a video on someone else's site would be included on your site's sitemap. That would probably be illegal.

Perhaps I should have qualified myself. I suppose it would be illegal from a copyright stance. I'd hate to create a video myself, put it on youtube, and then see it in the SERP's going to someone else's landing page.

Regarding the question of free plugin versus premium. There is no plugin that does what this does. Check out the free one, and see how it goes

Mine works. You cannot possibly have a video sitemap that works without many tests, many tweaks, and much customer support. I have all of it.

Here is a testimony...:

I am glad to report it is now working well for me since v1.8 but what I am SUPER appreciative of is that you and your team solved a problem on a SUNDAY and within hours it was fixed.

I opened a support ticket at the same time to another tool provider and as of today (WEDNESDAY!!) they still haven't replied.

The fact is, there can be localized support issues, and we have the team in place to handle such requests.

Plus, you get the bells and whistles, including adding 3rd party pages, exclusion of videos, works on both pages and posts, a "permalink" option for your video URL, and also includes upgrades.

Plus, you'll be able to have it work on more than one player, and we are adding more flash players for it to work with more and more.

It was the lowest on the internet when I did this WSO.

The same price given to SEnuke users was not publically advertized on the internet, but by email marketing.

As well, it would not be cool to say that when you do a WSO you can never in the future offer the same deal to others.

Google Video Sitemap is just ONE small component of Dominating Google (albeit a nice one), and IS included in the product.

It will not work with embedded Youtube videos. If hosting videos on your own server, or amazon, is a price issue for you, then this plugin may not be for you.

On every video I've put on my site, the only seo I have done is using my bookmarking plugin, that bookmarks to about 10 places....and that's it.

I will say that my experience is that the posting URL will show up in the SERP's first, and the video will show up within hours, or a couple days. And it will show up in the Video search first. Then, after about 1-2 weeks, I see it appear in the "Everything" SERP's.

So, I would say NO.

No, it does not have to be gif.

I just say to use gif because I read somewhere that video sitemap is good with gif. Thus, I simply try to make sure there are no problems with people in the search engines. If you want to explore other formats, go ahead. It is as simple as changing the format extension.

I was one of the first purchasers of this plugin, since I have been using video to help clients get multiple listings within the search engines for quite some time now, it was a no-brainer decision for me (didn't even read the sales letter - since I knew Mark from other sources and trusted his stuff was good)

I believe one of the main reason why I see this plugin will help you get high listings on google are:

- Google favors video
- The thumbnail sticks out a lot more on the page than plain text listings, so more people click on it, so, its more fitting to start using video on your site

My Proof:
Below are some of the results I have gotten over the last few weeks for my videos

If you do a search on youtube for "google video sitemap WP Plugin" you should be able to see some reviews for it.

And yes I do know what it takes to get multiple listings on the first page, as with a number of my clients I have managed to get up to 9 on the first page, and up to 37 on the first 5 pages. So for me this will allow me to go for 10.

As Mark has no doubt said - this is for getting your site listed on the search engine with a video thumbnail next to it (which speeds up the process for getting people to the end result) rather than having someone go to youtube, then come to your site (but yes you can still upload the video to youtube, that will hopefully get you multiple listings).

so, far for one of my clients we have managed to get a lot of his keywords for his videos to get ranked quite highly, and as a result his google analytics are as follows:

Before the videos - time on site was avg 2:03mins / vs 4:22 mins
Before the videos - bounce rate was avg 35% / vs 20.2%

Now, also as a result we are starting to rank even higher for his keywords So ONE HAPPY CLIENT...

The thumbnails started showing up within about 24-48 hours (with a bit of help from pinging sites), and this was done from a new post & page and a 4 year old domain with about 25 TOTAL backlinks to the whole site (and 0 backlinks to the pages/posts).

do you know how to stop the the video media files from showing up as clickable links in the blogs rss feed? can i delete the enclosure url tags or do something else to prevent the videos showing up as links in the blog rss feed?

when i post videos to web 2.0 blogs the rss feeds show the video post but do not have a link to download the videos, which is what i want.

so why does your plugin make the videos downloadable, which is not a good thing and how can i correct that?

thumbnails are not showing up in the video sitemap has this been fixed? Also I'm hosting videos on amazon s3 in the mpg4 codec. When I regenerate the video sitemap it does not read the location of the video, when mousing over where the image should be it's trying to call up a flow player and swf file. I'm using evp2.0 have never gotten it to work right and have never gotten any answers to questions except one that I won't go into on the forum. I'm trying to work with you mark but paying for something that I can't get working, (I really want it to work), is not what I'm about
