Update as to where we are at with the eBook launch...

No where!

I've been trying do something with it but I simply do not understand the forces at play here. I think that's been very obvious from day number 1 of the Challenge - I always claimed I had no inclination what-so-ever regards building up websites or fiddling with code.

Here is testament to that!!!!!!!

Anyhow, I need to get a rest now - its gone 4 am and I am no further forward.

If you are still interested in purchasing the eBook - have no concerns - there have been absolutely no sales as yet. So the bargain price is still very much intact!

Hi Beldin, actually someone managed to make the first purchase and it was not a test.

My friend DD put the buy it now button in his post near the bottom and it worked fine. So it shows there is something wrong with the coding in the actual ad (not my doing, actually).

DD works in computers and programming so he's hot on this stuff and I should have asked him a few hours ago to help out with this!

No worries, he's working on it now so I'm hoping things should be good to go fairly soon.

Yes, its kinda loooong I know. I think it would be wise to make a point-by-point laying out more in the way of stats just for anyone who needs a more exact and more condensed plan.

Mind you, although I know this can be very helpful, at the same time I don't like doing it. I don't like saying - add in 2.5 egg whites, 1 tablespoon of salt with 2000 grains on it, 6.9 pepper corns.... then stir for 2.34 minutes to make it all fluffy.

I'll certainly consider doing a point by point tho, and might make that available to those on my list on my SEO tips site (hint, hint!!).

Yes, I totally agree - this eBook is about getting results and making those results fully attainable too. There is no fluff, just pure factual content that can be followed on a daily process from start to finish, start to finish...

And you make a very good point Charles - you can use the knowledge within to build up your mini empire and by fulfilling many different business roles within the online world. So well said!

And yes, as mentioned, I will do a "glossy" graphics work that makes the backlinking process that much easier to follow simply by glancing at the layout. As long as you promise to hang it above your bed...

Yes, no doubt it does work and works well too. By all means throw in a couple other techniques and you got yourself a real buzzing old SEO package.

On the other hand, no need for any other techniques, as there is enough in the eBook to really push any and all SEO campaigns in the right direction!

Purchased ebook this morning and can say that I am highly disappointed.

The ebook is 123 pages and 99% of it is the 40 day challenge thread but only JosephA's post.

If I had known that it was just going to be a book of your posts Joseph, I already have them saved so why would I want to buy them?

Guess I was expecting to see more than just re-reading your posts again. I would rather have seen more of how you were using the tools you used during the challenge versus your reviews and plugs for them in your posts throughout the challenge.

However, the eBook was "manufactured" purely from what almost everyone was asking for. And that was a more condensed version of my postings on the WF Challenge thread.

Thus, yes, that is indeed correct, the eBook is a condensing of the posts and not much other than that.

If folks had come to me and said, "hey Joseph, how about doing an eBook about how you use the tools to do what you do", then I would have gone more down this road.

I was merely trying to fulifill the desires of what I was being asked for and I have actually mentioned this many times before the eBook went up as a WSO. It was a condensed version of the thread posts.


I'm sorry you are disappointed EnergyGuy, and of course I do see where you are coming from.

If a number of folks begin to ask me for a more in-depth step by step then I will certainly consider making this an add-on. However, I have to make a living too, and I doubt that even the current eBook is going to cover all my outlay for it (no business sense in this at all, but this is much more than about profit or loss). Thus I have to see a decent demand for it before pursuing that line further.


Again, apologies that the eBook was not what you were expecting.

Its amazing how much this has taken out of me actually. I feel "roasted" for want of a better word which is on the tip of my tongue but my brain will not quite function enough to get it out.


Nevertheless, I'm still writing for my own blog and commenting on other blogs around around the globe, which is quite good fun, actually. My recent post is about Press Releases for SEO which to be honest bores the pants off of me. But hey, that's just my take on it.


I'm getting back towards my old patterns of focusing on my own stuff rather than yaking on this forum for half of every waking day. After all, we all have to earn money somehow, so I am forced to re-focus regardless.


Thanks again Jenny, and thanks indeed to all those who purchased the eBook, even though I know it was not exactly what everyone would have wanted. Its tough going pleasing everyone all the time though and if it were possible I would do it for sure.

well, Joseph, I also bought the ebook. However, I also expected something different.

I thought we would get a summarized way of what exactly you did. Maybe just 2 pages would be enough. But putting all the posts in their doesnt make it something different than your thread.

It is too much anyway, 123 pages! I just wanted to see again, what you did, on day1, day2 etc.. And you didnt need to write full sentences at all.

I dont think that this would have been more laborious than this current version, would it?

SEO'd you are entitled to your perspective of course, and it is fine that you feel the need to share it. However, this is not the perspective shared by most others who have invested in the eBook.

Again, I listened to what people were telling me regards to what they were after, and I took action. If most folks had said "Joseph, just do a 2 - 3 page PDF and that's fine" then of course I would have very happily fulfilled this requirement - trust me on that!
