It does not autosubmit - but, it will create an RSS feed out of every post that is already on your blog, as well as any future posts.

It will do both.

If you just want feeds created from what you post from this point forward....it will do that...if you want feeds from all of your previous posts....it will do that as well.

Sorry and please bear with me as I'm still a little confused by this RSS stuff especially since many of my RSS feeds got messed up after Google bought Feedburner but I have a few questions please...

1) But isn't what WP Robo Feed does the same thing every self-hosted Wordpress blog already does automatically every time a post is published as seen in the Settings > Writing section where it submits to a bunch of update services? If your plugin does something different than this, then what does it do differently?

2) Based on what you said below, its not enough to just install this plugin to get backlinks to our sites, right?

1. what wordpress does is "pings" your site - not the same thing as creating an RSS Feed.

2. You would still need to submit the feeds or you could do something like mash them up weekly with something like rssmix.com and submit it.

Ultimately what happens is the auto-bloggers etc will start picking up your feeds, and content 9out of 10 times, so the potential for backlinks here is tremendous.

1) I am working on some new features to the plugin already. 1 of which will end up with us probably pricing it much higher when it is complete. Everyone that purchased prior though will get that update for free. Adding a couple small things and one major thing that is very cool.

Current admin section can be seen here: http://www.wprobofeed.com/images/robofeed.jpg

2) Meaning there are url/keyword pairs you can enter into the admin section. By default anything entered in here works for the single post static feeds that are generated. Anytime a post has one of the keywords or phrases you have listed it will be changed to that phrase but linked to the url you have paired with it. You enter the URL keyword pairs like so:

http://www.mydomain.com,my keyword phrase
http://www.myotherdomain.com,my other keyword phrase

If you want it to not only put those in the feeds but also have those same anchor text links on your live blog post you can turn it on.

It created the feeds from my previous posts.

I use Big Mike's RSS Bot and it validated the feeds with no problem and I submitted with no problems.

As far as I am concerned, WP Robofeed is a "must have".

It's similar from what I understand, but WP RoboFeed has more features, and from what people have said is easier to use as all of the links are stored in the admin panel instead 0f being emailed to you.

I have to say this is a very well though out product that will open up a lot of marketing possibilities. Have you done any sort of tests to see if there is a limit to the number of articles the plugin can handle?

Thinking about adding pages but haven't yet. There really is no limit to the number of posts that can be generated. But the number of previous posts I haven't tested beyond 874 posts. Although it did that in about 2 seconds. So I imagine you can generate feeds from a pretty big blog.

I am in the process of doing a rather big update to the plugin already... I don't know if generating feeds from pages will make it into this update or not. But it definitely will be added at some point soon.

Just to add to this... They are displayed as feed URLs in the admin section in a text area. Not a text file. You can copy the URLs and paste them into whatever app etc..you need to.

There was a minor bug when wordpress 3.0 came out that didn't show up in the beta versions of 3.0. All users should have received an email. The plugin has been updated and that error is no longer a problem.

If your a current owner of WP Robo Feed and didn't see the email...check the good ol spam box 8)

There isn't really anything to show in Video...I'll see what Don says though.

It creates RSS FEEDS out of all of your posts, and is done behind the scenes, so there really isn't anything to "see".

I love being able to add a header and footer with html and the tips you give in the manual are pretty cool too! I just created 2915 feeds in a few seconds. Once I mix them I'll send them off through RSSbot.
