Every time someone tells me that those keywords are easy to dominate I ask them for screen shots of their own Google #1 results. Inevitably they never reply.

I do appreciate the sentiment however and so my answer is simply this...

Those keywords that I am dominating for are extremely lucrative for my niches..

The kitesurfing niche video has had 122,717 + views. I have achieved a superb 4% CTR. That equates to 4,908 laser targeted customers to my website.

One of the techniques I use in VMD shows you how to identify keyword phrases that have little competition yet MASSIVE TRAFFIC potential.

This is one of the nuggets of wisdom discussed in VMD.

Again look at the testimonials by some well known names above. I guarantee whether you are a seasoned video marketer or a complete newbie, you will learn things in VMD that will make you money.

To be honest, I was not very impressed with the sales letter and the 'proof' he showed. Kite surfing accidents etc didn't excite me much. I think I even told him that who cares about niches with no commercial intent. But I guess he was reluctant to share his actual profitable niches, which I totally understand now. Anyway, I went ahead and bought it (at $47) because I had wanted to get into YouTube for a long time. I was pleasantly surprised to say the least.

What Mao has created in there was basically a well researched 'Scientific' manuscript (trust me, you could tell the difference between something regurgitated by any Tom, Dick or Harry and the genuine manual created by Mao).

He takes the top 3 videos for a highly competitive phrase in the IM niche and does a side by side comparison. He shows how a 2009 video has surpassed a 2008 video in rankings despite having lower ---------. Who would have known?

I have tried to rank Youtube videos in the past and failed miserably inspite of building 100s backlinks. I had no clue why that was happening. Mao explains why it happened. If only I had put the 2 words "XXX YY" in my video title #@#% Apparently there's something called 'retainers'. Now I know, so I should do much better and can't wait to get my hands wet in YouTube.

He covers ~90% white hat techniques as well as ~10% Black/grey hat techniques for those who want to do that.

I think if any review is all positive, it's biased (and possibly a result of a bribe ). No WSO or no person is perfect. There were 2 negatives about VMD in my opinion. Firstly it was too long, it took me several days to go through it, especially because I have school stuff during the day and family stuff during the evening. A 'short note', 'quick start guide' would have been nice. This 2nd one is not just specific to Mao, but a feature that I don't like in general but 99% of the IMers do this. So pls don't take this personally Mao. I don't like to see a ton of affiliate links inside WSOs. When I see affiliate links recommending products, I don't know if the author is recommending that because the product is good or just because he wants the affiliate commission. I'm sure Mao's intentions were of the former and not the latter. But that's just something I don't like in general.

TAKE HOME MESSAGE.
If you want to get in to YouTube marketing like I do, or if you are already in it yet are not doing too well as far as rankings go ==> VMD will do the trick
If you are not going to get into YouTube marketing, then don't waste your time or money unless you are looking to get an Education only

Wow thanks for being brutally honest Chucky. Hand on my heart I'm the best part of 12 months writing VMD. I'm delighted you realized that the research is scientific, and a result of carefully tracking and testing what works and what doesnt work with video marketing.

With regards the two negative points I have this to say;

1. I totally agree re: 'quick start' guide, that Is why I added the final chapter '9 Steps to Dominating Google' so you can take a bow for that great recommendation.

Considering that I wanted to write a complete video marketing blueprint that covers every imaginable facet of video marketing, 154 pages is actually pretty good. I think you will agree that there is no 'fluff' in there, everything is to the point. The thing is video marketing is such a broad concept, that to do a thorough job in covering it takes time.

2. Re: affiliate links I can see your point re: not knowing if the author is recommending them for commercial intent or because they truly recommend them on the products merits.

My take on this is my reputation means more to me that a few affiliate commissions. I have tried and tested all of the software I recommend. Proof of this is the 'step by step' screen shots, whereby I walk people through the software. So I can honestly say, I recommend products based on their merits and NOT for commercial reasons.

Firstly commiserations re: the world cup, with stars like 'Sneider' I'm sure you will feature in 4 years time..

With regards the example you used above not being clickable, that refers to the 'Metacafe' site. They do not enable clickable links in their description box.

A link does not have to be 'clickable' for a video to appear at the top of Google. So long as the video is well optimized it will feature in the SERPs.

I discuss methods in VMD whereby you can create links on autopilot that will boost your position for a competitive term.

The more competitive a keyword phrase is, the more high PR backlinks you need pointing to your video. I show you ways in VMD to get high PR back links quickly and easily.

Ya I even popped out and bought a dutch 'Sneider' jersey :-) Spain were very good on the night though, so we can't take it from them.

There is no need to buy expensive software with my course. I do recommend several paid options but I always recommend FREE alternatives that are just as good. Re: submission to video sharing sites, I recommend automated submissions. Several FREE alternatives mentioned.
