| How Many Of Your Customers Have A Mobile Phone? Better yet....do you know anyone that DOESNT have a mobile phone? Dear Warriors, Look, I am not going to try and tell you that email marketing is dead - gotta be honest - I don't really believe that, and I don't think many Warriors are going to buy that line either..... BUT...... what I DO know is that mobile marketing is where the big players in the brick and mortar world are putting their focus - and for once - they may just be ahead of us IMers in this one area! There's been a good reason for the slow adoption of mobile marketing services by the internet marketing/ecommerce business community - it is not cheap! The average service charges from .10’ to .20’ per message, which maybe doesn't sound so bad until you understand a very important fact about commercial text messaging - just like commercial email - you have to include opt-out instructions with every message.....and that opt-out msg is included in your total character count! For 99% of the mobile text services - this means that your message will be split into two messages - and that doubles the cost to you! And that's a nasty little factoid that very few of their sales pages will tell you! We started looking into mobile marketing more than a year ago, but had to shelve the project due to a major family illness (my father suffered a massive stroke) but a few months ago - we met up with a very talented programmer who was able to take our ideas and run with them! The result is a unique FLAT RATE MOBILE BROADCAST SERVICE that utilizes the DOTCOM (368266), DOTNET (368638), and DOTORG (368674) Short Codes - this allows you to send unlimited broadcast sms messages via these internet gateways but with no additional per message fees! This is real text messaging - NOT sent through an email gateway! It is a browser based service - so you don't have to sit there and laboriously type your message into that little mobile phone - so even if you know nothing about texting...you can still use the service! It also means that it is both Mac and PC Friendly! And although the service only works with US mobile carriers - it doesn't matter where YOU reside because this has nothing to do with YOUR mobile phone! MobiOptin Mobile Broadcast Service launches November 5....and Warriors get a chance to get the jump on the best keywords AND the absolute best pricing - trust me - the 'public' will never see the kind of prices we are offering to the WARRIORS!! |

Bobby - MobiOptin is strictly for marketing to your own lists - we don't serve up any outside ads. Think of it as an addition to your email campaigns. It's a more 'real time' way of communicating with your own subscribers - and studies show that 95% of text messages are read - about twice that of email! Keyz - sent you an answer! Several have asked if there will be an affiliate program - and the answer is YES! Details will be released the end of the week - PM me if you are interested! The affiliate program will be available for both ONLINE AND OFFLINE BUSINESSES~ If you are currently marketing your services to brick and mortar businesses - imagine being able to tell a bar owner that he can send out Happy Hour Specials in seconds anytime he needs to get some bottoms on barstools! Or a deli can send out lunch specials......the dry cleaner - a discount coupon for the following day....you name it! This service puts mobile marketing within the budget of virtually every small business owner - online or offline! Mobile Text Marketing is the hottest trend in offline marketing - virtually every major company uses the medium - MobiOptin lets you use the same medium - at a FRACTION Of the cost! |

Hi Melody, You've really come up with a fantastic solution for mobile marketing. I know mobile marketing is quickly becoming the latest buzzword but I never realized how fast people are jumping aboard. I'll chime back in here after I've had some time to really check out your service who's time has come. This is going to be a real winner for sure. Cheers, Dean |

Thanks, Dean! Just a couple of weeks ago, I received a text ad from John Reese - so you have to figure that the rest of the IM world won't be far behind! We've been working on this for almost a year now - and have been marketing this to local businesses in Cincinnati for a few weeks now. It's interesting that the brick and mortar businesses seem to be adopting it faster than the IM world! But - as I said before - I think the cost has been prohibitive - the average land based business is looking at a subscriber list of a couple of hundred usually - whereas the online marketer might have 10 lists with a few hundred per list. The per msg structure is just too costly - but flat rate makes it affordable.....finally! |

Hi Melody, Anyone reading my question will know that the ONLY time I use my mobile phone is for emergencies or when I'm out of town. I've never used the SMS function at all. Which leads to my question... By "keyword" do you mean the word that will identify the sender of the message? For example, if I want subscribers to know I sent the incoming message, I would choose keyword "Holly Cotter"? Also... does plan 1 include 3 keywords AND 3 unique lists? |

Hi Holly! It doesn't matter how much YOU use your mobile phne - what matters is that the vast majority of people are never very far from their phones - and that every major corp entity in the US has earmarked major funds for mobile campaigns! And to answer your questions: For example, if I want subscribers to know I sent the incoming message, I would choose keyword "Holly Cotter"? Yes - but a keyword must be ONE word, not to exceed 14 characters in length, so for example, a new subscriber would text: Mobioptin HOLLYCOTTER to 368638 This would subscribe the person to your list for future sms msgs. And you don't need to worry about knowing how to text - it's all done through your web based admin - you never have to involve your mobile phone! 2) Also... does plan 1 include 3 keywords AND 3 unique lists? Each list has it's own unique keyword - so 3 keywords would actually be 3 lists. You could have HollyCotter, HollyCotter1, and HollyCotter2 - or the additional lists could be product or topic related - your choice! |

Here's the scoop on the keyword with our system: SMS keywords are very different from internet marketing keywords - they are used simply for branding purposes not for 'pulling' traffic. Keywords are essentially a way to extend the brand of your business - with mobile marketing it is not going to affect how people find you in google etc. and keywords are an integral part of the way mobile marketing is done - getting a mobile keyword or short code for your business (known as a 'vanity' sms code) is very expensive - both upfront and ongoing monthly - generally in the $5k range to set-up, and and $1k+ per month. With our system, you can choose and easy to remember keyword that is used in conjunction with our TOP LEVEL keyword - and you get your own second level keyword that is one that you choose, and identifies your particular list. And you are right - mobile text marketing has been very, very expensive - that's what makes MobiOptin so unique - it's a true SMS service - but flat rate. And my programmer thanks you - it has been a long undertaking to get to launch! Quote:
