Thanks Ed. I wanted to make sure that this produce was accessible for beginners, but also contained some of my personal favourite tips for more advanced article freelancers, and I'm glad that you feel I delivered.

I wasn't sure about bumping this WSO, as it was a deliberately low key 'test' WSO I started a few months back, but this is on a timeless topic and the information is intended to equally valuable whether you downloaded this then, now, or in 12 months time.

I'm not one of those people who will deliver a free WSO solely as a mechanism to upsell to another product. This audio (and transcript) is 100% standalone. I do suggest another low cost product of mine at the end of the audio and on the download page, which is intended to be useful to article writers, but this on a quite different topic to the audio. It's basically there just to cover the costs of running this free WSO, and providing access to this valuable recording.

Incidentally, I do think the section about how to make an income even before you have clients is particularly valuable, as I know it's a situation every prospective article writer is in at some point. It's all about showcasing the quality of your writing in the right format and getting set up to make the right income from your skills.

If you're writing for your own use, or for a client, then you should know the best topics.

If you're writing for articles to sell directly, the thing that seems to be working right now is information about physical products.

Pick a product that's selling Amazon, and write articles which cover the kind of areas which will draw customers to that product. For instance, you could choose an iPod, with articles including "How to compare different iPod models", "How to compare MP3 players", "What features are most important in MP3 players" and various reviews of different iPod models.

Then use the techniques in the training to sell that sells of articles.

After a stiff learning curve of sifting through, absorbing, evaluating, ... all that is out there in the 'information maze' to understand and find one's place, I have to share with everyone who is just beginning like myself. I used the PDF rather than the Audio because, well I guess after more than a half century denying it to everyone else, I am starting to get old, and listening either gives me a headache or puts me to sleep, so I'm stuck with reading. But then, reading the PDF was a pleasure, and the information is solid. In the past year I've written over eight hundred articles for other people, but never considered the obvious of submitting to a directory that would pay me. Probably jsut another sign that I'm getting old. Thanks for making me wake up to another revenue venue. --Ed

I've grown to love the format of audio plus a transcript, as I know it appeals to two very different types of people. Some products do benefit from either video as well, or a much more detailed report, but it often depends on the technical complexity and the style of presentation chosen.

From the writing perspective, writing using audio as a medium can be a very efficient way of completing this (and it's a nice change to work away from the keyboard, and to then get someone else to handle the transcription).

Best of luck with your writing. I'm certain that these techniques will be valuable for you whether you're writing for other people, or just looking to increase the amount of content on your own sites (there are a lot of benefits for Google ranking from having plenty of quality content).

Hi Ed, 800 articles is a really impressive contribution. It just shows what you can establish when you put your mind to it (and I'm sure you got really efficient in your writing through this process).

There are all sorts of ways to make money from content on the Internet. The whole World Wide Web is dependent on a regular supply of high quality information. Whether you're writing for yourself, freelancing for other people, or selling ready-made articles in some form, there's a market for it. Different markets work for different people.

Glad to hear that you liked the PDF. I'm more of a written person for learning myself, particularly as the presentation of many audios isn't as clear as it could be. I tried hard to keep this one carefully structured (as I do with all my audios), and I think this product works well whether you're listening, reading (or both).
