The biggest issue that I had when I wanted to help small business owners with their Internet Marketing campaigns was that I haven't had any paper work in place, nothing whatsover.

Once I figured out how to find clients, 90% of them asked me for a formal proposal. I had no proposal in place and I had absolutely no clue how much I should charge and what services I should offer.

This obviously didn't help me to look professional. Quite the contrary, not having a proposal in place made me look like a fool and I can tell you right now that it didn't help my confidence either.

It was hard enough to gain the confidence to call small business owner's and to talk to them face to face - but not having a proposal in place in order to demonstrate that I'm a professional weakened my confidence and it slowed me down immensely.

Now This was just the first obstacle that I faced.

Losing Out On $1,000 Checks
Over And Over Again

Once the client agreed to work with me, I faced an even bigger problem.

Presenting the proposal is just one part of the puzzle. More important than the proposal is to have an agreement in place.

If your potential clients is a professional, he or she is going to insist that you provide an agreement that contains all the terms and conditions and which must be signed by you and the client.

Think about it, why would any business owner give you anywhere from $1,000 - $5,000 without having any form of agreement or contract in place to protect them and their money?

It would also be irresponsible from you not to protect yourself and your businesses interests.

Makes sense, doesn't it?

The problem is that I had no agreement/contract in place and that I had no clue where to get one or how to create one, let alone what it should contain.

After doing my homework I realized that the only way to get a decent agreement was to pay a lawyer hundreds if not thousands of dollars to get an agreement done for me.

All I wanted to do was to help small businesses with their SEO and online marketing - but now I needed legal documents and I had to get in touch with lawyers and spend a lot of money - what a disaster.

This was too much for me and the lack of legal paperwork and confidence was holding me back for a long time. This has cost me at least 10 potential clients at $1,000/month. (I never charge less than 1k)

But it doesn't stop here!

What About Confidential Information?
Who's Protected?

Once you get into offline marketing you'll need even more paper work.

Some of your clients are going to ask you for a non-disclosure agreement as well. They want to make sure that you don't share their information with others and at some point you also want to ensure that they don't share your Search Engine Optimization strategies with your competitors.

Then, sooner or later, you're going to work with a sales team or you will at least have strategic partners that are going to recommend you to their business partners and they will also send you leads.

At a certain point you should definitely make them sign an agreement as well. You are going to pay them a commission after all and whenever there's money involved, you should protect yourself and your client/partner in form of a signed agreement.

Last but not least, once your client is happy and you're ready to get the job done - you'll have to communicate with your client on a regular basis and you should send them reports.

How should the reports look like, how much should they involve?

I had absolutely no clue!

This is a very straight forward offer to be honest - What I'm offering here are 'done for you' agreements, proposals and other documents.

If you want to make real cash in the offline niche, you will have to have your paperwork in place - if not, you'll have a hard time to convince a small business owner to send you a check of up to $2,500 or more.
