As far as you're aware - does your report cover anything new?

I've provided a LOT of link building and indexing strategies in the forum in the past but I'm always looking for new creative ways to get links.

I just don't want to buy it 'hoping' there's something new and find it's just the same stuff that's been covered here many times before.

If you think you're doing something different I'm definitely interested.

Any more feedback from the review copies ? There's only been one so far.

I can't say whether any of this information is new as I don't buy many WSO's at all and I'm generally more concerned with experimenting for myself than reading other people's work.

I can say that I do follow people like Terry Kyle's experiments and part of my backlinking philosophy has been built on this. I do share some tips and theories that I myself haven't heard from anyone else, but I can't realistically guarantee that this is new information.

I'm more of a doer and my system is borne out of techniques that have worked for me.

I have a philosophy of my own and it goes something a little like this
When you buy an ebook, it should perform 3 functions for you, or else you have wasted your money! I call this the 3 ‘I’s’ rule...The content should:

Inform

Inspire

“Google Basher” is an interesting, somewhat amusing read, written in a chatty, witty style. It does provide solid information but I would say that it would be more geared toward the newbie market than the hardened marketer with lengthy SEO experience. For those looking for more advanced level information, this is probably not for you, however, for those looking to learn the basics of link building, this would be a good place to start.

This product provides good value for money, but the information could be covered in a little more depth. However, if you want a short little ebook to get you started, this would be absolutely ideal.

To set up the link web fully took me about three hours. After that it's just a case of building backlinks to your website using the methods and advice I teach.

It really depends on how competitive the keywords you are targeting are and how many backlinks you are capable of building in a given day. If you're targeting "SEO" as a keyword then it will obviously take you considerably longer to get to the first page of Google than it would if you were targeting "Giraffiti".

In my own personal experience on FilmScriptWriting.com it took two months using this method to get on the first page of Google and another month to push it up to #1.

The term "script writing" is quite a competitive term, as is "scriptwriting". It's quite an achievement being number one for both - and with less than 500 links. That shows a good quality of links!

Got this product around a week ago, and after spending a bit of time with it I wanted to come back and give my review, which is fairly mixed.

I would like to point out that I almost returned this.

That's important for me to say because I felt initially that The Google Basher didn't have a lot in it, and others may feel similarly. But after some careful thought I decided not to based on a few different points:

- The information here is dense. Those of you who've bought any number of IM products have probably noticed how they tend to "fill space" sometimes to appear longer. A lot of times I feel like I could skim pages off of these products without hampering anyone's understanding. So while you might initially come into this with a "skim first" mindset, everything he has to say is a tip, or something worth considering.

- A lot of the points in here are genuinely really good, and stuff I haven't seen elsewhere to boot.

- There wasn't the usual fluff about "get rich in one minute." This lent a more honest vibe to Jake's product, and made me feel like I was being taught by someone who knew their stuff, whereas sometimes it feels like I'm being talked at by someone who wants to convince me that I didn't just waste my money.

- It IS pretty cheap, and there's always the hope that some products can grow over time from something decent into something amazing. As someone else pointed out Jake has a pretty witty style of writing, he also has a lot of good points to teach you and has the proof to back up that his methods are sound. Not everyone is willing to show you where they've been successful.



So I decided that this is *MIGHT* be a pretty good starter kit for someone getting into IM. I am glad I purchased it because I believe there is honesty and integrity here which is inspiring, and I wish there were more products with this style behind them.

But there's some things that could use a bit of work, still.

- The Backlink Philosophy... while technically you could define this as a "philosophy" that brought to my mind more of a "unifying theory" kind of thing and was one of the reasons I bought this. I was a bit dissappointed to find it as a collection of facts/theories that aren't really linked together or expanded on very much. This is a problem that kind of plagues this product, too much of it seems loosely connected.

- Brevity isn't ALWAYS a good thing. There are probably about 3 or 4 or 5 different parts here where I found myself with a bunch of questions in my head but only a small paragraph and no more to help me out. This is a problem because you can't really recommend something as a newbie product then miss out on this.

- I felt like some examples would have really helped drive points home a lot better, and also showed the power of some tools. This isn't so much a "bad" point as wishful thinking.

Jake, I think there's a lot of promise here and I hope there can be some updates to this product which really has a huge potential!
