Default What The Heck's A Vegan? (limited PLR inside!)

11/7/08
Thank you to everyone who has purchased, and to everyone who has given me kind comments and feedback. I still have some packs available, so I've bumped this up. Whether I sell all available packs or not, this will be the only time I bump it up.
Thanks again, warriors.

Hi Warriors,

About ten years ago, my mother became a vegan. She was struggling with weight problems, and had been diagnosed with diabetes. Due to her lifestyle change, she lost the excess weight and has never taken insulin.

During this time, I was a student in culinary school-and I've spent the last 10 years running restaurants and absorbing everything I can about food and cooking. So when I stumbled onto the warrior forum and began learning how to market online, veganism was a market that I researched.

What I found shocked me

In a poll taken in 2006, 2.3% of US adults identified themselves as vegetarian. 1.4% of US adults identified themselves as vegan. In the last few years, major corporations have looked into this market. Colgate purchased the "Tom's of Maine" natural toothpaste brand for 100 million dollars. The largest dairy producer in the country, Dean Foods, bought the company that makes "Silk" brand soymilk.

Perhaps more to the point, the term Flexitarian was coined in the early nineties, and made a word of the year in 2003. It describes people who eat meat occasionally, but tend towards a vegetarian based diet and lifestyle. This is perhaps the fastest growing diet segment in the world today.

So why am I pointing this out?

Hopefully, by now, you seeing the potential this market has. While investigating affiliate programs I came across what you would expect-recipe ebooks and diet advice-but also a lot of physical products, vegan only dating sites, lifestyle coaching, nutritionals-even a leather free, uhm, "adult" product website. A creative affiliate or niche marketer will make a killing in this market. Despite all that, based on what I've seen, I also feel that there is plenty of room for a good marketer to create a product and really clean up.

There seems to be a disconnect somewhere, and this huge market, with multiple niches, is not being effectively marketed to.

Please take a look at some keywords.
vegan baking 2900 searches-94,600 competing; vegan cake 18,100 searches-only 35,400 competing; vegan cake recipes 1600 searches-3,320 competing!; vegan dessert 3600 searches-26,300 competing.

I have more, but I think you get the idea.

So what I have today, is a package of vegan baking PLR recipes. There are 10 articles total-one is written in an article format, and 9 contain recipes written in a cookbook format, with an article type introduction.

Titles and word count are:
