In other words will the lead gen be as effective whether I'm selling Google Maps Listings or SEO or any other service that offliners offer to local businesses.

As a quick suggestion: There is reference to a website called allofcraigslist.com in the course.

You can also use crazedlist.org.

The benefit is that you can set up RSS Feeds for all of the search terms you want, and they come to you... or your VA.

I just picked this one up... It looks interesting. While it is a 72 page PDF, it is really a 32 page document with a 40 page list of business categories you can pursue... basically every yellow pages heading and subheading. But that's OK, the first 32 are good.

I do like your angle on lead generation. I can see the value in it and how it would attract response. I just wonder what kind of results they expect after you deliver so heavily in the first few days, and whether they are disappointed if you can't keep up that pace.

One note to anyone else who buys - when you purchase, you only get the one PDF. There are links to the video and other PDF's inside that first PDF. I damn well went nuts trying to figure out where the other files were... LOL

HOWEVER

It would be good if you had an idea how to do some SEO and knew how to get keywords, etc.

If you're totally clueless, read everything you can find here on the forum on those subjects and get the SEO for Dummies Book. Market Samurai is great for keyword research. I would recommend spending a few days getting somewhat of a clue in those areas so you'll know what you are doing.

HOWEVER, you can outsource a lot of this (including the SEO stuff), so you'd be the marketer and someone else would do the work, so don't let your lack of knowledge hold you back.

You can always learn more later, but get started quickly by outsourcing what you don't know.

I don't like "shmoozing", sweet-talking, or hard closing clients on phone or in person to close deals (I used to do that for a living, but I wouldn't want to go back to doing that again). Does this course require any phone or face to face communication with clients after my VA's have taken care of the first part of the communication process? Could my VA's initiate and close deals without any intervention or communication with the client on my part whatsoever, (although I don't mind email or instant messenger communication)?

Hi Chart3;

While most of the methods in the book don't require "face time" some of the higher level ones do. It's very difficult to close contracts and get people to give you $15,000 without spending at least some time with them on the phone. However, these are warm leads and they WANT to do business with you.

The way the structure of the lead generation works you do NOT have to do any scmoozing ... I was in the same boat as you! I used to sell insurance... everyone hates the insurance guy!

No chance i'll ever do that kind of sales again - so i know where you're coming from

I'm actually working on a much larger course that fills in all the blanks you're talking about. The most important part is momentum though and once you get the ball rolling with 1 client you have the excitement that will propel you forward to keep closing deals

Lol ok ok... You're like the 3rd person to say that.

"Where the heck are the other files!"

It's a huge pain to try and deliver large video files and I can see my inbox filling up right now wondering about different video types, or how to unzip a file, etc...

I'll try and find a more innovative way in the future. Maybe set up a webpage with all the individual files.

What I do generally in the "closing" meeting is explain that what I did is what MOST SEO companies do. And that to expect long term results like that, that quickly is unrealistic and dangerous. I tell them that setting up a proper SEO / Online Marketing campaign can take upwards of 4 months to notice a significant difference.

Then they sign 6 month contracts and choose whichever package they prefer (on my website).

The other benefit is that you get a guaranteed source of income for the next 6 months

Keep in mind.. the techniques in this document are just for lead gen, not for long term SEO
