Of the many factors that Google (and the other search engines) consider when ranking the weight of an individual backlink, the most important is Google's internal PageRank, which is a sort of an authority score based on an assortment of factors. The "link juice" that is passed from high page rank sites can be greatly watered down by other things, such as the number of outbound links on the referring page, the content of the referrer, or questionable linking.

Another thing Google considers is "Factor X," which this method targets. This factor is separate from page rank, and can be a little tricky to try to target. Many SEO experts recommend giving some attention to Factor X, but the methods used can take time and effort, so many people don't bother -- and that's a mistake.


Factor X:

• Tells Google that your site is more important than the average web page --> *bump*
  
  
• Is normally difficult to acquire so few webmasters bother --> *bump*
  
  
• Passes on significant link juice even when the content doesn't match your site --> *bump*
  
  
• Is mindlessly simple to get, using the secret strategy I will teach you --> *BUMP*

There is more (a lot more). But I don't want to keep you in suspense any longer. "Factor X" is .edu (university) and .gov (US government) backlinks.

When Google sees a backlink from a site on either an .edu or .gov domain, they assume that your information is highly relevant and trustworthy. Why else would either a university or the government link to your page? This is true even if the content doesn't match your site.


These backlinks aren't a new idea. My secret technique just makes them super easy to get -- any time you need a little extra link power.

Eventually this technique will be mainstream. Today, however, those who know about it aren't talking... until now.

Once everyone discovers how easy it is to add high-power backlinks to their pages, you'll just be one of the crowd. But if you start now, you'll be at the top of the pile instead of trying to claw your way up from the bottom.
