Excuse the very pathetic blog - i am still trying to find the "best" WP plugin to use with Nitro RSS, so far i only tested Feedwordpress.

On the page i put like 4 feeds for now, one Youtube feed and some Google News/Yahoo News as well as a blog-search feed. The current keyword "kati crawley" doesnt return a lot, this might change depending on keywords of course I set my feeds so they update every 15 mins.

There is HUGE room for expansion, eg. with RSS feed "merging" and similar.

Again, an explanation:

On Google trends there are keywords, in order of relevancy for the current "hot trends". Nitro RSS automatically fetches the Nr.1 keyword.

Nitro now parses your RSS feed-URL and replaces a token "%trend% with this keyword. This happens automatically before the actual RSS feed is fetched.

The result is that an RSS feed is fetched in the same way as if you would have checked google trends manually, wrote down the current keyword..and then manually would fetch a RSS feed with that keyword.
NITRO RSS does this automatically.

Its input is an RSS URL with the token "%trend%" - the result again is an RSS feed URL where %trend% is replaced with google trends keyword.

"WHATEVER" is where the keyword usually is.

You would replace "WHATEVER" with "%trend%", append the URL to your Nitro membership URL...and the RSS is being fetched. If the current Trend KW would be "Britney Wardrobe Malfunction" it is likely you would get back a feed with exactly this., if you pull youtube and there is a video about it.
If the current trend peak is "Obama elected president" you will get back videos with this.
Its on you what to pull, Articles, News, Videos etc..etc.. Youtube is just an example.

# Your NITRO RSS feature outputs a raw feed url.
# I insert that url into whatever... rss aggregator, rss2blog, rss content builder, wordpress rss plugin, Big Mike's rss gadgets ... and it then displays output for the TOP TREND of the hour, or day.

I'm just not sure now the %TRENDS% token works.

you use keyword based feeds which somewhere in the URL have the keyword.

Enter a keyword and then see the resulting RSS feeds.

Now, for using it with NITRO you replace the keyword in this URI with %trend%.

Now you can use this URI and instead of a static keyword the URI will be dynamic since the %trend% will always be replaced with the current trend KW.

Yes..the Google Trends KW *and* the RSS feed is pulled from my hosting provider, and it returns the feed - from a user's side transparently since you REQUEST a FEED on your site, and you will get BACK a feed.

i wanted to add i am sitting at a "video autoblogger" plugin for Wordpres since i am not 100% convinced with the ones out there at the moment.

The video autoblogger plugin will greatly go together with NITRO RSS.

Further plan is an "RSS extender" which not only pulls a few text-head lines from RSS, but always tries to get the full-text content.

My "plan" was/is actually a more full blown suite using Google Trends (will also look at Google Insights) + Full blown site auto builder + [SECRET feature]..and NITRO RSS is actually a side-product of this project. Goal is a 100% automatic autoblogger which doesnt have any of the downfalls current WP autoblogger plugins have. (Yes, tested them all)

it would be possible if i rewrite - but the problem would rather be in realisation. Eg. if you build a targeted site...and the 10 keywords would be totally different.
I rather focus on ONE KW and then fill a blog/site with articles related to the keyword?!
