I would imagine you will need multiple sites set up with the right keywords and enough traffic. Unless you are generate huge amounts of traffic ( and therefore have the expertise), one site is not going to make you much. Need the right keyword, content and lots of traffic.

Generally adsense sites are all about expanding the amount of sites you have to increase earnings, although if you pick the right keywords then one site can make very good income.
