Quick review:

On first skim, I am happy that this is a superb system.

It's not new - it's a method I've read about before
but Justin has laid it out clearly, along with his
own refinements, I am sure.

What I particularly like is the fact that this system is
about getting other people to willingly build your list.
So that makes the small price an investment with a strong
prospect of paying off many, many times over.

You would need some minimal experience in the
Internet Marketing arena to get full value from this
(ie, know how to set up an autoresponder, have your
own domain).

From what I can see, a critical component of this system
(which some WF readers will not yet have) is that you
need some kind of software or tracking system to track
affiliate referral signups. Justin links through to the
service he uses. They offer a free test drive for the first
month. Since that is about the length of time it took Justin
to build his huge list using this method, if you follow
his system you should have the funds to pay the monthly bill
for this combined "collect optins+autoresponder+shopping
cart+affiliate tracking" service before it comes due... not
to mention the profits from one time offers, etc made to
your new subscribers.

The report also includes a very long (the longest I've seen
in a good while) list of resources/tools. Naturally some
are affiliate links. Some are not.

Hi Patrick, I'd say that you'd be able to achieve similar results as I did, though it's going to take you a little longer to get them and is going to be a bit more work than it would be in the IM niche.

Because this process relies on viral and word of mouth marketing, the message won't get passed around quite so quickly in most other niches, though the concept will still work as advertised.

You will need a little bit of IM experience and have a basic understanding of internet marketing to make this work and there is some special software required, but as you mentioned it's free for the first month (which leaves enough time to do this technique).

Hi Shravnan,

You will need things like an autoresponder, a website, domain name and hosting, so this will cost a little bit of money to do, though not much.

It also uses viral marketing and affiliates to help generate subscribers, however as long as you follow the technique you'll earn everything back and more to cover any costs you might have.

Thanks for the compliments – I appreciate them

If you read the introduction in the report, it will show you how I initially built an opt-in list and why I was going about it the wrong way.

The info starting on page 28 are just some extra methods you can use to build a list, without getting into the viral technique that's the main meat / potatoes of this report.

The software I used as an autoresponder to collect subscribers is 1ShoppingCart, but there are many others like aweber or Getresponse available that will allow you to add double opt-in subscribers to an email list.

I'm curious if you've tried or know if your list building course could be used to build a large sign-up to your RSS feed instead of signing people up to am email list?

I haven't ever done anything with RSS in the past but I'm reading up on it and it sounds so far like a good alternaive to a traditional email list and the issues list owners have with getting their message past spam filters and stuff.

Perhaps you haven't done this yet, but have you thought about it? Do you think you could alter your strategy to use RSS as the source of your communications with your list and get them to sign up using that instead of signing them up to an email list?

Just a thought.

Hi Stephen, I can't think of any way to do it while getting people to sign up to just an RSS feed – you need a way to be able to track them.

You could sign them up to your list, then ask them to subscribe to your feed, but I don't see how you could just get them to subscribe to your feed.

A lot of people in this thread said they bought Justin's product in Dec. of last year and said they'd report back on how they did. About 7 months have passed and I'm wondering if anyone who jumped in, in Dec. have any results they'd like to share with the class?

Could this technique be used to build lists for offline businesses so it could become a service we could provide brick and mortar businesses then charge them monthly to run their lists and use their lists to broker JV deals?
