This formula definitely works for blogs, but I recommend using wordpress for several reasons over blogger. I'll give you a sneak preview with this advice...

-With wp you can pick your own domain/be more relevant.
-With wp you can host it on your own server and have more control
-With wp you can customize the look for better conversions (sales)
-With wp you don't have blogger links to other blogs on the top of the page!

Well, the sales copy doesn't promise to list the site in Google quickly - this, after all, is no big deal to any marketer having some basic SEO know-how, I agree with Justin.

The sales copy though promises to be listed on the first page which is quite a different game.

So, either Justin has had reviewed a different product or he must have missed the alleged USP of this product to show how to rank on the first page of the SERPs.

2. In your opinion, do off-page SEO efforts strengthen your (on-page) methods or are they in vain and not worth pursuing? This is especially interesting since now many will try a first page ranking for the same top keywords...
3. I suppose - if you concentrate on on-page SEO - your methods will work for all languages and language-related SEs, is that correct?

When you do the search for "Free tools and tips" you should remove the quotes. When you add them, it decreases the relevance because most people will not use them. Without them, the site I optimized Free Tools and Tips- Internet Marketing Resources is number one and two out of 16.2 million, not 98,000. You can see for yourself here:

Hi Dan,

Thanks for the feedback and great questions. On page seo is the most important factor in the research I've done to google, simply because it is most relevant to the visitors. Not that links to your site don't show popularity, but because google realizes that people "teach" backlinks and don't strive to give the visitors the best information possible.

I have sites ranking higher than others that have "zero" of page seo, like "today's Jesus" (9.4 million) and less than ten incoming links. See here:
