Unless you’ve been living under a rock, you have heard that the Big G is out to rid the internet of content farms, autogenerated sites (as in datafeed sites and autoblogs) and all manner of sites that provide a less than optimal experience for their users.

Well, actually, maybe that is not quite accurate. Google cannot take your site off the internet, but what they can do is bury you at the end of the listings. Or worse, put you in the supplemental pages.

Where nobody will ever find your site. Because nobody is ever going to look there.

Google has the ability to drop the rankings on these autoblogging sites kind of like they did to JC Penney. If you’ve read any of the accounts of that fiasco, you know what a devastating loss of income this means.

In some cases, Google dropped Penney’s rankings from number 1 to number 71. How much money do you think Penney’s is making down there?

Now, in truth, they did that for underhanded backlinking schemes. But, at the same time, Google announced the crackdown on crappy content. Actually, they made the announcement AFTER they started the crackdown.

You don’t really think that publicly putting the hurt on a big name site and announcing a crackdown on junk content sites is a coincidence, do you?


But then again, maybe you are a gambling sort of person, and you are quite willing to gamble away your investment in domains, hosting, software and time. Maybe you are willing to wake up tomorrow to find that everything you worked for, all your blood, all your sweat and all your tears, and all your income is gone.

I am not. Having already been through that scenario – twice – I am not going down that road again.

I actually started using this system after seeing all my autosites get smacked and in a lot of cases de-indexed. That happened to me a couple of times and it was heartbreaking.

The Evergreen system is so much easier. It just took me getting kicked in the teeth a few times by the search engines to see that spending my time getting sites ranked instead of starting form scratch was much more profitable for me.

You can do both. This is not about finding unique niches, but you can certainly create excellent content full of great keywords with this.

We aren't getting rich over night, but we have residual income coming in month after month though. The approach is sound. But if you've been around
for a while, there's nothing new here... unless you
are new to internet marketing. But if you are, the
talk in the sales pitch about autoblogging most
probably wont apply. There seemed to be
something in the pitch that implied (at least to me)
that if you've got a bunch of autoblogs, here is
how to redeem/transform them. I didnt find that in the
content. It was more like... stop autoblogging,
start writing good unique content and here's how
I do that.

And IMers could do far worse than follow this good
advice but if you are looking for something
new, this is not it.

Gary, thank you for you well written and thoughtful review.

I do believe that overall, folks who find their incomes dependent on autoblogs will suffer as a results of this current crackdown by Google. Many of them probably are alrady feeling these effects. I don't believe it is going to get any better in the near future.

I also believe that good content will bring in more consistent income from more sites in more ways through more keyword phrases searched for. This is from my own experience, this is in fact what I do to make a living online.

If someone had an autoblog, particularly one which was dependent on a product datafeed, adding more content to this listings on their pages using this method is a good way to differentiate their site from the hundreds or thousands of other people pulling in the exact same product descriptions.

I spent a long time looking through the WF before I ever decided to put this WSO together. I saw lots of folks with questions about autoblogs, how well they work, will they make any money, and I was pretty sure that for each person who posted a question, there were probably a bunch more with the same question.

It has been my personal experience that an autoblog does not last well, and it seemed that a lot of people were starting out their online enedavors looking for a solution that was instant and that was at the end of the product lifecycle.

Granted it is my opinion, that autoblogging is at the end of its product life cycle. Based on what I have seen in IM in the past, when a product niche gets to the point where there are literally dozens of competing products and the differentiation betweenthem becomes about price, that particular technology or product is about done with.

Executive summary: This WSO package is like a thumbnail sketch of a few of the main ideas presented in The Challenge, but using different tools.

The review: Michael Z is not an autoblogger, however, the ideas presented dovetail with PLR, which is certainly compatible with autoblogging drip systems, as well as intelligently reviewed and edited autoblogging with tools such as the Carty ABS system.

Michael Z is not against autoblogging per se, he's against mindless autoblogging: unmoderated posting of Frankentext that is unreadable multi-translated gibberish or code vomit, the MFA of circa 2004 that some systems still champion. I realize some people say they are still making money doing that, but Michael Z's emphasis is on long term passive income, and according to his method, he's making a lot more money with fewer pages than sites filled with robot text.

Remember, even with the plane on autopilot, the captain is still sitting there, looking out the window. That's Carty's message about moderating posts before publishing them, which is the camp I'm in. The problem with certain blogs on autopilot (splogs, to be exact), is that no one is watching anymore, and the robot is vomiting anti-content.

The main idea that Michael Z wants people to learn is how to find long tail keyword phrases and how to intelligently target those phrases with a small number of articles that will rank high in the search engines and stay there, hence the name "Evergreen Content".

Unlike the gurus who are in the business of selling systems, not using the systems they sell, Michael Z is using this system to make a five-figure monthly income, so it's well worth the money to see what he's doing. He also shares his stories of successes and failures.

If you were interested in The Challenge, but either didn't have the time for a seven week course, or got lost in the deluge of information, this is the WSO for you. It's short and to the point, and makes a great introduction to the concepts presented.

If you're a Challenge graduate like me, it will affirm what you already know, but will still show you some alternates to the software used in The Challenge, which is interesting. I enjoyed it. No regrets.

The bottom line: Recommended!

This was a great read! Thank you. I am new to internet marketing, but the ebook gave me some great insight. It also explained why a couple of my articles would rank for other keywords that were related to what I was actually targeting. I will have an even greater focus with building my blogs by testing and using the examples givin in the ebook. The greatest part of it, I found, was the ethical approach you spoke of. Just finished reading the ebook and I thoroughly enjoyed it, not least because of Mike's extremely easy to read writing style - I hope with more practise I shall soon be able write like that! Apart from being an easy read, it also underlines things we should all already be doing, namely giving useful information and helping people find solutions to their problems.

I have tried autobloging and plugins that scrape content and have not liked the results at all - I want to be proud of my websites not cringe when I read what's been posted on my behalf...

I have just finished reading Michael's report and can thoroughly recommend it.
If you are new to internet marketing then I will say it is a must have.

Even if you have been around for a while you may get something out of it, as I did. For me the way to get ranked for certain keywords was an eye opener, I should have known this but for some reason never pursued keywords like that.

Michael makes the whole process look very easy, which it is.
