Here's a bunch of reasons why you should give our hosting a chance: LiteSpeed: All of our servers are running LiteSpeed Web Server. This amazing system makes your websites run up to 10x faster than if they were running under Apache (what most web hosts use). Softaculous and Fantastico: Softaculous can install 260 different software applications by simply clicking a few buttons, including Wordpress. Forget having to learn how to install software, let Softaculous or Fantastico do it for you in seconds. RAID10 Hotswappable Drives: These ensure that every server has 4 hard drives running that are connected via RAID controller. RAID10 means faster read times, and in the event of a hard drive failure all the drives are hot-swappable (meaning we can replace them without turning the server off). ![]() Best Reseller Web Hosting Award: At the start of this year we received the Best Reseller Hosting award from BestFreeWebSpace.org! Quality Support is one of our key features. We are one of the very few hosting companies that will provide software support. If Wordpress breaks, we will fix it for you. While we cannot guarantee being able to fix every problem, we can almost always show you where the problem is and work with you to fix it. Wordpress Optimization: Wordpress is the most popular website platform in the world, and we have spend an huge amount of time and money learning how it works. We can show you how to make it run faster, more secure, and how to deal with virtually every problem that could arise with it. Automatic Daily Backups: We keep daily, weekly, and monthly backups of your data in a secure location to ensure that we can restore your sites in the event of a major problem. Security: We do not like hackers, and we are pretty sure that you don't like them either. We have developed a very secure hosting environment that utilizes firewalls, mod_security, and dozens of other protective services to ensure your websites are safe. 30 Day Money-Back Guarantee: If you are not happy with us you can request a full refund within 30 days of purchasing and we will issue it with no questions asked and no hassle. So now the big question - how much does it cost? First, let's look at the biggest hosting company in the world - HostGator: ![]() They will charge you $19.96 for your first month, and $24.95 for every month after that for a reseller web hosting account with 50G storage and 500G bandwidth. So we are going to beat their price - $15 per month for the same 50G storage and 500G bandwidth! That's 25% cheaper than the first month and 40% cheaper than every month after that compared to HostGator! HOW TO ORDER Once you have placed your order via the button below, please send an email to support@boltwebhosting.com with the following information: Domain Name: (Which of your domains do you want to use as your main domain, can be any domain you own) First/Last Name: Email Address: Paypal Transaction ID: Once received, please wait while we setup your account. It may take up to 24 hours to setup your hosting account after we receive this information from you (we do extensive fraud checking/order screening due to a huge amount of fraud in the hosting business). To place your order, please click the button below: Other Hosting Services: We do offer shared and VPS hosting solutions, PM me if you are interested in those.

Hi Christian Little ![]() Do you have a demo link of the control panel? I'd like to see how it works. The reason being, i don't have that type of control panel and i'd like to get used to using it before buying the hosting. Thank for the help SEO-IM7 |

Hi SEO-IM7, It's best to go right to the source for a demo - cPanel's official website has fully functional demos on it. If you go here it gives you login information and links to all the different panels: Demo - cPanel Inc. A shared hosting customer gets the Domain Owner panel on our servers. A reseller customer gets the Domain Owner panel (as do all their customers), plus the Reseller Admin Panel, which lets you customize your hosting plans, manage users, etc. |

I think your Standard Shared plan would be good for me. I have two domains on another cPanel hosting account, of which I did a full backup to a file ending in .tar.gz. Can you tell me how to use this file to install everything on your server? |

Thanks for the kind words Shane ![]() Hi DJL, It depends on whether you used the cPanel backup or just created a compression file. I sent you a PM, but basically if you send me the file I'll take a look. If it's a cPanel backup file, it takes about 10 seconds to setup on another host If not, it takes about 5 mins. Either way, I'll do it for you.-Chris |

Hi Chris, Do you offer instant customer care i.e life chat? This is something I can't do without. If it's available, let me know. Another thing is, if I want my customers to buy domain name on my site, how do I set that up knowing that you don't offer domain name registration??? These are important things to me. Enjoy your day, Tim |

Hi Tim, I replied to your PM about this. But for anybody else that wants to know - we do not offer live chat support. Our end user support service only includes ticket support for the time being. As for domain registration, you need to setup an account with ENOM or some other company that allows you to sell domain names and integrate it into your billing system. It's fairly simple if you use a good billing platform, the one we recommend actually has code to support several domain registration services automatically. |

I have found this to be a brilliant service and you really get the impression that you're a valued customer too. Regarding the question about live chat, my own experience is that the email response was so prompt and interactive, that it matched the speed of any live chat service I've ever used. Definitely the best Web hosting service I've tried. |

Hi Christian Went through the Reseller signup process but stopped when i saw support was an extra $10 per month. So if i signup for Reseller account and need support it would cost extra, maybe i did not read it correctly. Cheers Theo |

The fee for support is for End User Support. We provide unlimited support to our resellers, but if you want us to provide support to your customers that costs extra as we have to train our staff on your hosting policies/guidelines, ensure we enforce them properly, and get integrated into whatever support desk you offer to your users. We can't do that for free, especially if a reseller brings on accounts that need constant support. Think about it - if you are paying us $20/month for a reseller plan, and one of our tech's logs 50 hours/month helping your customers, then we're operating a huge loss. Considering a basic tech support agent wage's are $10-15/hour, that 50 hours of support to your users would run us $500 in expenses for $20 revenue. So the End User Support does have a fee. A lot of our resellers don't take it simply because they don't need it. You don't need it if you are planning to use a reseller account for your own sites as we provide unlimited support. It's when we start supporting your customers that it costs money. Considering the End User Support works out to $0.10 per ticket, it's quite affordable in most cases. |

Hi, I was wondering if any of your reseller plans offer a premium "site builder" that could be used to quickly create sites for our customers? If so, is there a link to those templates? Phil G |

Hi Phil, At present we do not have a site template platform, but the most popular one is RV Site Builder, which is something I could install and setup if that was a deal breaker for you. If you are absolutely set on that, PM me and we'll chat. I have no problem installing programs like that, however I want to ensure you would use it as it does cost money to purchase the license and there are monthly fees associated with it. So I'd want to make certain you would signup and use it if we included it. You can see the demo of it here: Website Builder for cPanel Hosting Provider - Perfect online sitebuilder - RVSiteBuilder :: Public :: demo |

domain hosting and checked this opportunity out extensively. While I haven't taken advantage yet, as I already have prepaid annual hosting I find the opportunity so inviting, I highly suggest for people to take advantage of the offer. When comparing apples to apples, this hosting program is very good. There are not many domains associated with this service yet, so any support you need should be taken care of quite fast. While one of my top priorities in looking at hosting is to see if they have live chat, the fact they don' have it yet, doesn't bother me. They've only been in the game a few months, but comparisons and everything else look excellent. Without the discount the price is competitive. However, throw in the huge discount, you can't go wrong. And about the pricing, the ones you see above are only for the monthly pay option. The savings increase if you pay in advance... like the killer annual price plan. Discount 50% of that and wow!... you have enough $$$ left over for a few other WSO's! LastWarrior

I wanted to come back and revisit this since I have had the Hosting for a Month. This is absolutely the Best Customer Service I have ever had with a host and believe me I have had more than you can imagine and ran my own hosting company a long time ago. The Other part is the Hosting itself. Its fast Its responsive and Its Just Plain Good. You really are missing out on a very good deal here. I really never praise hosting as i am usually fighting with them to fix things or make things work properly that is just normal everyday stuff. More than Highly Recommended Shane |

Hi Christian, I know that i could probably google this but - what's the diff between class c IP's and class b IP's. Any strength to c's over b's? Also, I'm asking you this because, on first impression, anybody that's a flying pancake is O.K. in my book and with this post I'll probably bump you back up for a little bit. Jim |

Hey copius, There's 2 definitions to IP classes. SEO Definition (the wrong definition) AA.BB.CC.DD. Basically a class C ip by the wrong definition is the 3rd octet is different. So 129.21.2.41 and 129.21.3.41 would count as being on different class C IPs. I think this definition arose because people don't really understand the real definition and it's way easier. The Real Definition The real definition is that it's all defined by the first octet. There's a really good explanation about it written here: IP Address Overview: The Basics on IP Addresses But it basically comes down to this: 1 - 127 = Class A 128 - 191 = Class B 192 - 223 = Class C So going by the above example IP of 129.21.2.41 and 129.21.3.41 are both class B IP's because the first octet is between 128 and 191. It doesn't matter what the other digits are. While the third octet is different, they do not count as class C IPs like many seo experts would have you believe. Ips were divided into these classes based on what their intended uses were. But when IP were first created they didn't anticipate how popular the Internet would become, and now there is actually a shortage of IP addresses until the new standard (called IPv6) is rolled out (which will be happening soon hopefully). |

Hi Christian, Thanks for the fast response and an excellent answer. I'm off to sign up for your service. I've come to the conclusion that a reseller account would serve my purposes. Not that I intend to resell hosting but for organizational purposes. I like the idea of cPanels for each separate domain. My Hostgator account is an absolute mess. Jim |

I just wanted to throw in my endorsement for Chris and his company. I've been using a combination of HostGator and Knownhost for all of my hosting but decided to kind of cut back some. I contacted Chris and signed up for a reseller account with his company. Setup was prompt and his response was great. After realizing that I really didn't want to be on a shared hosting account, and that I really liked being on a VPS better, Chris mentioned that they were going to begin offering VPS plans too. With the discount they were offering, I decided to sign up for a VPS with them. Chris was nice enough to offer to move all of my stuff from my reseller account (which he also offered to move things to but I just went ahead and did it myself) and I let him do that for me. Again, service was prompt and his responses to any of my concerns or general inquiries have been stellar. Just today, I was having a small issue with getting a particular plugin set up. I submitted a support ticket with the issue I was having and had a response within 5 minutes. Apparently, I needed a zip package installed. Chris kindly did that for me and tested to make sure it was working. This entire issue was resolved within a very short period of time. Note that the issue really had nothing to do with Chris and Bolt but more an issue of something that was needed by the plugin that was easily installed but I didn't know how to do it. Honestly, since moving everything over to Chris and his company, I almost feel like I have a personal support team, even for stupid questions. I've corresponded with Chris a few times, over various little things when I was deciding to switch from reseller to VPS and I've actaully gotten to kind of know Chris over that period of time. I think quite a bit of him, personally, from what I've seen. He won't steer you wrong and he sincerely plans to offer nothing but great service. All I can really say is that I am totally satisfied with Chris and Bolt Web Hosting. Rapid response to any silly question of mine, servers have been stable and reliable, and I have no regrets for making the change. I would recommend Chris and Bolt without hesitation, based on my experiences so far. - Vince |

Me too ![]() We've got some massive updates in progress right now. We've setting up a completely automated backup system for all clients as well as DNS Clustering. Both are hopefully going to be online this week. We also installed hardware firewalls on our VPS rack this weekend, which was certainly an interesting experience The new backup system will backup everybody's files in a remote location about 1500 miles away from where our racks are located. Clients will be able to get access to these remote backup files on an as-needed basis without being charged. The DNS clustering feature will result in websites on our servers loading faster. Other big upgrades are coming down the pipe that will make our service even better, but I can't give out the details yet as we're still trying to wrap up the projects I just listed. |

This email was just sent out to all customers, but I'm posting it here in case anybody was waiting for this before signing up with us: We wanted to give you a heads up about an important project at Bolt Web Hosting – this email contains important information and it is highly recommended that you read it fully. We know you are super busy, so we’ve tried to keep it brief and to the point. Background Information ====================== Since our first day of business, one of our biggest concerns has been security and preservation of data. The simple fact is that it only takes a few seconds for a hacker to cripple, or worse delete, a website. There are also hardware failures that are beyond anybody’s control. We’ve all heard horror stories about people who have lost their websites permanently because files were deleted and they didn’t store a backup of their site. In most cases, the onus is on you as a webmaster to have a backup of your sites in case of catastrophic damage. And until now, that has been our policy. But today things are changing at Bolt Web Hosting. We are proud to be announcing the implementation of a REMOTE OFFSITE BACKUP SYSTEM. What does that mean? ==================== Simply put, we are now creating a backup of your website(s) and storing them offsite in a remote location EVERY NIGHT. In the event that your website is damaged or deleted, we will now have a copy of it stored in a different data center that can be used to bring your website back to life. Cool, How Much Will It Cost Me? =============================== Most hosting companies will charge you a fee when a situation arises and you need access to your backup files. I want to make it clear right now that we will not be charging anything for accessing your backups. If at any point you need access to a backup of your files, simply submit a support ticket and we will grab your files and give you access to them. What Backup Files Are Available? ================================ Starting tonight, 3 backup files will be available to every customer: Daily – this is a backup of your website that is updated every single night. Weekly – this backup is updated every 7 days, which can be handy if you need to access something you deleted accidentally and didn’t realize it until a few days later. Monthly – this backup is run every 30 days and you should only need to access this in case of a severe problem. Limits of the Backup System =========================== We’ve noticed in our testing that some of our clients are using bizarre file permissions which prevents the automated backup system from being able to read your files. If our automated system cannot read your files, then they are not copied into the backup system. Because of this, we are going to be monitoring the backup logs for the next few days to try and figure out why certain sites are not backing up properly and work with each individual webmaster to correct this. However the problem only appears to affect about 6% of accounts right now. Backup Guarantee ================ At this point, we are not offering a guaranteed backup service. I want to stress the importance of backing up your data and storing it somewhere secure. If you are not sure how to backup your websites, we recently published an article on our site that walks you through the process (it only takes about 3 minutes to do). You can read the article here: http://www.boltwebhosting.com/web-hosting-tips/how-to-backup-websites-with-cpanel.html Moving Forward ============== The introduction of this remote backup solution is only the first phase out of several that are designed to increase the security and protection of your websites. We have more exciting projects coming soon, but this is a huge step forward in terms of reliability and security. At this point I want to thank all of you for being such amazing clients and supporting our company. I have gotten to know several of you quite well through over the past few months and have really enjoyed getting to know many of you. |

Hi Christian (from a Pacific Northwest neighbor just south of you) -- I like everything I've read except the dedicated IP charge, which I think you said was $3 apiece. Since I currently have 16 static IP's with my current host, that would be $48/mo extra on a shared package? Sounds too high -- did I miss something? Thanks, Paul |

Oh, one other thing -- I recently had IXwebhosting tell me that, at 75G disk storage, I was noncompliant with their "unlimited" space fine print. Do you have anything like that?

Hi PPPPaul, 16 IPs x $3 = $48 yes. And at that many IPs, chances are a good number of them would be sequential as we would have to request a block from our data center and give them all to you. As for the 75G of storage, that's a little heavy for a shared server. To us it's more about how much RAM and CPU you use because if you have 75G worth of website data and that's done through numerous databases and blogs, that can consume a huge amount of CPU power. This in turn would affect everybody else that has a shared account on the same server as you. So to be quite honest, a VPS is probably better suited for that. Which costs significantly more than a shared host, but it guarantees you a set amount of system resources so you can't bog down anybody else on the server. If you really want the huge range of IPs on a shared hosting plan, then you will be better off looking at a company like SEOHosting, which is tailored specifically to giving mass volumes of IPs to shared hosting accounts. Cheers ![]() -Chris |

Now that I've been with Bolt Web Hosting for a while, I can honestly say the service has been excellent. No problems whatsoever, except the screw-ups I've caused myself whilst 'experimenting' and they were sorted out for me immediately in a real friendly and helpful way. At the same time I also used Hostgator and they were ok too, but out of the two I chose Bolt Web Hosting to be my long-term web host because of the more personal service they provide. |

| BIG UPDATE We have decided to focus most of our resources lately to network upgrades. We just one of our reports from Pingdom, which is reporting a 100% uptime for our shared and reseller hosting servers. And that's based on checking the servers EVERY MINUTE! Very few hosts can claim 100% uptime for their shared and reseller hosting servers for an ENTIRE MONTH. Additionally, we are doing a massive infrastructure upgrade to our systems. New routers, new network cards, and upgraded software across all servers. We're also implementing new traffic routing protocols on our VPS servers to make them respond even faster than before! We've also added a refer-a-friend program, where you can get paid for referring people to us in the same manner as an affiliate program. However all you need to do is get your friends to list your name in the "How did you hear about us?" box when they signup (no affiliate links needed!). Lastly, we have started up a Twitter account and Facebook page!!! We are going to be giving out some fantastic prizes on both sites soon, so follow us and get notified of some really cool promotions that we have coming up. |
