Yes. If you add lots of friends in a short time, twitter.com may suspend your account. However, in my program, you can control the adding interval, it can be almost all the same with real people.

Hi Everyone,

i just purchased a review copy of FriendFinder, and as everyone else has said, it works great!

The installation worked smoothly.

Without reading the instructions, I was able to to start finding friends.

One thing that I test, was removing people I didn't like. For instance spammers and news services, people that were definitely note in the niche. FF DID NOT have a function to remove specific individuals that I saw. So what I did was remove them manually.

The cool thing that FF did was there is a check box NOT to add friends that have already been removed. So it worked like a champ even on those I removed manually. At least that's what it seems to do. Maybe it still thinks I have added them and will not add duplicates.

This update is a big update, from 2.2.2 to 3.0.0. The auto updater is only working for minor or middle updates, for example, from 2.2.1 to 2.2.2 or from 2.0.0 to 2.2.0. So you need to uninstall your old version and install this new version. You can always download the latest version from: Download - Twitter FriendAdder

I've tested the 2.2 version and I can highly recommend it. :-)

Obviously the V3 will be even better. It's excellent that you are adding feature requests from your customers in a matter of days. I see that some of my own suggestions made it into V3.

I started testing 7 days ago as a complete Twitter Newbie. It's my first (and only) Twitter account and I didn't know a thing about it before.

I started with 1 follower on December 27 and I'm now at 856 followers.

It's really easy to build a following using Twitter Friend Adder, I highly recommend it for everyone who wants to use Twitter for marketing.

OK, today I've tried the software for the first time.

I left most of the settings at default and it worked great.

Some mostly minor problems:

1) The SW prompts for the user ID and serial number on every start which is a bit annoying as the serial number is pretty long so you need to copy & paste it. It's not like remembering a 6 character password.

2) There is support for a proxy server but it lacks password authentication support. I haven't really tried it so if it's integrated with Internet Explorer, it probably prompts for the username & password via the web browser so it may work that way. Additionally, in some situations I can imagine it would be a good idea to support multiple proxies and switch them. That would be great if you have multiple accounts that you want to keep "unlinked".

3) Some English texts could use small corrections.

Overall, I'd say it's a very nice application that does what it promises!

I will keep using the software and will report back when I have more info.

1) I have tested in my computer, and it can save the id and sn after you first time registered. So please check whether you have installed any firewall to prevent my program writing files into your disk to save the id and sn.

2) You can use following format for the proxy host to use protected proxy: username#password@11.22.33.44. You can also add a proxy for each account from "Twitter -> Manage Accounts..." to make your mutiple accounts "unlinked".

3) Could you tell me which English texts need to correct? I am sorry that english is not my mother language.

What is a difference between a friend and follower?

What can you do with twitter friends and followers?

How do you market to them? Is there the option to contact them

You can target people by the people they choose to follow, or find a person you like and follow those that are following them.

Another great way is to target a particular keyword or phrase.

For example if you are in the pet niche, you may want to target " large dogs" or Dog training.

As I'm not completely in tune with adding friends to Twitter, will this software allow you to only add people that are in a certain zip code or region or does it just go out and randomly pick people. If it can pick put by zip code or City etc then I'll take this for sure as this would be perfect for offline marketing my website.

the 3 ways this software adds followers is by you choosing the starting point:

#1:Find a person you want, and choose to follow all their friends.

#2: Find a person you like and follow everyone they follow

#3: Use search to follow people based on the keywords they enter.

As a side note, there are sources that let you look up people by location.

Friend in my program means following. You add a friend, then you are his following. Other friend add you, then you are his follower.

My program can automatically add your following number. Once you add a friend, he may go to your profile, and check out your website. If he thinks you are interesting, then he may follow back to you and become your follower. The more follower, the better. Because once you post an update, all of your followers will receive it.

I think you are using version 2.2.2 currently, right? To make sure all updates to be compatible, the auto updater in my program can only work for middle update and small update, for example, from 2.0.0 to 2.1.0, or from 2.1.0 to 2.1.1. However, it doesn't work for big update, for example, from 2.2.2 to 3.0.0. So you need to uninstall your old version, and reinstall latest 3.0.1 version now. Sorry for any inconvinent with you.

There is a trick for you to get about 100 followers now:

1) Click "Twitter -> Add Friends...";
2) Click "Find..." button to find target friends;
3) Select "Custom List" option;
4) Using the default friends: http://www.livelybrowser.com/twitter/donors.txt
5) Click ok to start adding.

You will add 100 friends of my twitter accounts in this trick, and I run the back following and message in the pro version. So you will get about 100 followers at once. Your account will be much more safe when you have more followers.

When you start my program, it will check the updates automatically. If the auto updater doesn't work for you, please make sure whether there is any firewall in your computer blocking my program to check the updates online. I've just been using Twitter FriendAdder. This program delivers. Totally. I find it easy to use. Not much learning curve, and it is definitely intuitive.

Mike11: I don't think it was because of the software but because of the number of "friends" you may have attempted to add. How many did you choose in the software config? How many times per day have you repeated the process?

I think it's unlikely Twitter would suspend your account for using the software once. I have personally done that many times already although never more than once a day and never more than 100 friends per session.

You mentioned you used it on 3 Twitter accounts. Was it simultaneously? I mean, you did not add 100 friends but 3x 100 friends per software session? Were the accounts completely new?

The accounts are not new and I tried to add the 100 friends for each of the accounts,so maybe it was the cause of suspension,do you use proxies and are you satisfied of the software?
