I've been reading quite a lot about site flipping. I can build WP sites, add content, plugins, drive traffic... but what I would need is some coaching from someone who is experienced at selling sites, so I know I am doing the right thing. That's why I think this would be ideal for me.

I'm interested but I've heard it's difficult to transfer WP sites to a new owner and that once transferred the new owner has to know what to do. Then it can take lots of time getting them set up.

I don't know anything about how to do this so I'm somewhat concerned it would be a bit much for me.

Is it this difficult and do you offer help with transfers?

I joined up last night (Australian time lol)

I have bought a few things from WSO and other places and everytime i did i felt like i barely got my moneys worth and in most cases i payed for a 5 - 10 page book which was really a 1 page vague summary of information with enlarged text to stretch it out over more pages.

I payed my $17 for tonys school expecting the same thing, but seriously... what you get for your $17 is far beyond worth it. Just the ebook itself was worth $50 or even more. I got so motivated by the book i rushed off to the site to check everything else.

Even if you dont want to sell websites, the resources and knowledge you get about setting up wordpress and configuring it is worth double what he is charging. The videoes are awsome and he explains it in a way that a complete novice can understand it.

I have bought a few things... but this is the first time that i was so happy with what i got in value compared to what i payed i felt like i had to respond on this thread and this is actually the first review i have given in WF.

Can you tell im happy with my purchase? LOL

The market is still there.

As one of Tony's students I am obviously keeping an eye on the market and getting a feel for it. Markets are constanty changing, as soon as somebody finds out you're making money, they will copy you, and then someone else will, and someone else, and someone else...

This is particularly the case with simple websites, which people have previously made money out of by flipping them. Now, everybody is trying to flip basic sites which is an area that is now saturated. However, what Tony teaches goes beyond this. Site Flip School shows you various ways to build value into your sites, and thus making them saleable. If you check any of the site selling marketplaces, you will see that sites are selling, and there will always be a market for websites - the "over saturation" refers to the fact that a large number of people were getting in certain models of sites which are easy for an experienced website builder to put up.

I personally think the quality is in the lesson plans and the training. Anybody who has taken this WSO up will tell you that not only is there a mass of content inside, but it really is well organised and indexed into a step by step program.

When I started the training, I had basically uploaded a Theme to a wordpress site. That's it. I didn't really know what to do with it, or edit the theme, build the website or anything. Now I can do all that, build sites that look really professional (if I say so myself). Not only that, but I can optimze them for the search engines and get traffic. And now my knowledge has grown to a point where I'm experimenting with different strategies and techniques to get traffic to the sites.

That said, I guess site flipping might not be for everyone, but as Ezytrader points out, this is a WSO where you're actually suprised at what you get when you get in there. Not that there's anything "wrong" with a 5 page report...IF it gives good information, but there's nothing like that in Site Flip School, it really is packed with content and videos. And it's all relevant stuff. A hell of a lot of work went into building and organising everything and it really is worth taking a look.

There's no denying that the market is a lot more competitive that what it used to be just a few months ago if that's what you mean by over saturation.

However, take a look at SitePoint and you'll see that people are still consistently selling their sites and making a decent living by building, improving and selling websites. In fact, the more people that get into the market, the better and safer the market becomes for both buyers and sellers. Buyers are able to purchase a website at a decent price due to the increased competition, and sellers are able to get a fair price for their site to reflect the time they may have put into developing the site and improving it's profitability.

Gone are the days when you could throw up a site in 5 minutes, fill it up with auto-generated content and sell it for $250. If you take the time to build a site paying attention to small details such as SEO, getting an increasing amount of targeted traffic to the site, and monetizing that traffic to generate revenue, then you should have absolutely no problem sell any site for a very good price.

Website flipping is much more than just creating a site quickly and selling it for a profit. I have never been an advocate of the quick flip methodology, especially for newly created sites, and have always advised my students to build good quality professional sites, which are well ranked in search engines and making money before selling them.

I just wanted to know if anyone else is having constant problems connecting with the sfs site?

I continue to get intermittent connection, with most days I am not being able to connect at all. I continue to get a "server or proxy server cannot be found", and it is frustrting the hell outa me!

I am not getting this issue with any other site, and I have cleared cache as well as rebooted my computer and tried everything I can think of from my end. I have tried in IE7, and FF and the same result occurs.

As you know, I have been a member for some time, but this access issue is getting me to a point where I spend more time frustrated than pleased. If it only me having this issue, then I dont know what to do, I have tried everything I can think of. If others are having the same problem, this might be the place to discuss it.

Unfortunately a couple of other people are having connection problems and I've been liasing with Hostgator regarding this issue for a few weeks now. They have reviewed the error logs but they haven't been able to identify anything wrong at their end. Hostgator seem to think that it's an ISP issue.
However, I'm not entirely convinced and I'm planning to move the whole site to a dedicated server. Until I do, I'm afraid you may contuinue to get these intermittent connection errors.

Thanks for the response. I am also with HG and have only ever had great support from them, but in this case they are wrong, if they are saying the problem is with individual member ISP's. If this were the case there would be issues with other sites, and there just arent any! Even if I was having trouble witn one other site, I might give them the benefit of the doubt, but from the hundreds of sites I connect with weekly, yours is the only one I am having probs with.

In the meantime, this interrupts my member access to the site, and due to the fact that I just started to watch the extensive traffic videos, i am at a loss as to what to do now. Is there any other way access can be arranged until the connection issues are resolved?

Here's an Update on my progress...

After going through the training I have just flipped my first site for $250, and I have a better site which I believe will go for a lot more. This was a site that I built from scratch using the methods taught by Tony/SiteFlipSchool, and once you learn the ropes sites can be built very quickly.

I would have to say without doubt that you can pretty much take this as far as you want (within reason). Once you have completed the basic training (if you can call it basic - it's pretty in depth), in my personal experience you develop a foundation of knowledge that can lead you to other methods and techniques. My skills are ever improving.

With regards to how long it takes you to go from Newbie site flipper, it's hard for me to answer becuase I didn't have as much time to devote to it as I would like, due to a career and other stuff I am involved in, but I would say that anyone who followed the lesson plans diligently would be in a position to sell a site anywhere from 1 - 2 months.

I decided not to accept a lower price than that I was expecting. instead I will list the product with Click Bank secure some affiliates and relist the site. I have 3 or 4 others that are almost ready for listing.
