Well, hopefully it's an offer you can't refuse From reading these forums, I know a lot of you are marketing experts, and probably wouldn't mind pocketing an easy $1,000 (or more). I will get to the point shortly (of how you can make $1,000 in a day), so please read on Please read the entire post (I will explain how you can make the $1,000). Part I:

Here's the deal. I'm an expert in software. I have 70+ products, (not e-books, not articles, not a type of 'information' marketing product), but software applications with immediate benefit to users needing that software. Everything from business applications (i.e., Microsoft Excel, MS Word, etc), to web design tools (i.e., scratch and win software, flash special fx banner software), to general applications (i.e., DOS/Windows management software, time tracking, etc). About the software:

• The software is unique/niche
• The software is in demand
• The software sells
• The niche software is high quality

Part II:

Many of you are experts in marketing, or have some particular niche marketing that you are phenomenal at, and/or know people that need certain things. Many of you have precompiled lists of users, know how to create superb landing pages, do niche marketing, create niche blogs, etc, etc. I am rather impressed with the talent here. You probably also know a lot of people that want to make their lives a lot easier with some particular application, whether it is creating fancy webpages (i.e., with flash), managing their business operate more effectively (i.e., with microsoft excel plugins), or something else. Which means, that the people you know, would want these products/services.

Part III:

So here is what I am proposing.

Since you are excellent at marketing, at creating a superb landing page, already have a list of users interested in the latest/greatest applications, at creating blogs, and I have the software, that we work together. Every application sells for between ~$30-$50, and if bundled, can sell for $200+, and I am proposing offering a 70% commission for sales generated (which means minimum ~$20-$35/sale if sold individually, or can be bundled, and then obviously depends on whatever bundled package it is, i.e., for a $200 package would be $140 commission/sale).

So, if you sold (converted) 50 sales for the $29.95 products, that equals $1,000. If you converted the $50 products, that would be about 30 sales. Or, if we were able to put together a bundled package, say for $200, quite possibly it would only be an easy 10 conversions that you would achieve $1,000. And, of course, this could be duplicated for other packages/software bundles (so it might be even possible to get say $10,000 with 10 successful individual promotions).

So, although this is way below what I should be charging, for $97 (BUT POSSIBLY FREE! KEEP READING) I am willing to work with you to put together a package that you believe will sell, and also work on making sure you are satisfied that you get a commission for every sale generated from your efforts. (Also, the $97 ensures that you are sincere in making it work, and so we get the full benefit/maximize the use of each others time. It will help weed out those other people that aren't really interested in spending 30 minutes to get set up, or just want to waste time). I've decided to edit this offer with the following: -- If you generate $300 in sales (which should be quite easy to do), then I will refund the $97 (the $97 is mainly to make sure we are both on the same page on making this work! ) So you can get it 100% back!

For the $97, I will:

• Spend up to an hour with you corresponding with you (e-mail/pm) to decide which products you believe with your influence/circle of contacts/blog readers/newsreaders would be interested in
• Put together the individual software packages (or possibly a bundled package, would need to discuss/confirm that), and then set up the ordering pages, and make sure the sales tracking is set up correctly (i.e., so you get paid for sales generated)
• Payments would be made 30 days later at the end of the calendar month (to allow for refunds/chargebacks/etc).
• This would be for sales within a 30 period after the initial promotion (however, if you feel there would be significant residual sales afterwards, we can discuss that/discuss changing the time period, etc).
• If you need it, provide some sales copy for the software with what I think are important notes/features

The 30 minutes work you need to do:

• Obviously, many of you have different ways of promoting products, so for some it may be creating a domain with a landing page, others it might be creating a blog entry to their readers, or might even be sending an e-mail blast to opt-in subscribers hungry for technology tools to make their lives easier. I'm not sure which method you would use, but would let you decide
• But basically, what I anticipate is this. Since you have the marketing expertise, you would create the marketing copy that you know sells. You would then notify your subscribers (whether it is blog entries/opt-in newsletters/advertising/word of mouth/or some other means, but obviously not spam), and basically let them know. Create an irrestistible offer for them, that benefits them.
• And then, enjoy the profits!

Bonus!

• If you, after reading this aren't sure if you can use this, but know someone that can and wants to, refer them and then have them let me know that you referred them. You will get 10% of whatever sales they generate. (They still get the 70%, and then you get 10%, so for example, if they generated $1,000 in net sales, you would get $100 ($1,000*10%).

Sounds like you have a great product set but I will tell you that most marketers (IMHO) here won't pay you to become a JV partner. Not discounting the value here as you have put in work, just wanted to give you a heads up

Ok, what would you recommend/how should I restructure it?
I am fairly new to this -- I was considering doing that for free, but then thought $97 would be good (because then it makes people 'committed' to doing something, because there own money is on the line, as opposed to 'kind' of starting it, but then following through).

Do you think I should offer it for free, or perhaps say make it $10 (so there is still some 'commitment'?)

(Actually you *do* get the lion's share -- 70% of any sales generated). But basically this. If you generate $300 worth of sales (which should be exceptionally easy to do, especially if you either have a sales list already or are good at making a landing page, etc) -- I will refund the $97. The reason I put that there is mainly to make sure that people that go for it are sincere in making it work. (Because in the past I have worked with some people that take their sweet time, and/or don't follow through 100%). So this is basically a guarantee, and helps make sure both of us make it work.

Please let me know if that sounds a lot more attractive

I'm with JMLebeau, There are far too many opportunities out there and if someone can do a good job for you it would be better for them to spend that $100 on marketing efforts than tied up in limbo with you. I understand your concern, but thats the way things go.
