Akogo, Thanks for the kind comments! You'll have to have Excel 2007. In the salesletter above, I've put the link to the 60 day trial version that you can download and get started with. We looked at compiling the info, but the current compiler software just can't handle the formulas that we have to use in order to make the technique work. At some point, we will probably turn this into a standalone software program. The reason for 18 tests is so that we can test 15 variables simultaneously. I don't want to make this any more complicated...it's simply the smallest compression we can get with fractional factorial testing. Hope this helps! Jack |

Just wanted to mention that I picked this up today and tried it out with OpenOffice 3. Everything seems to work fine. I filled out every field and then entered some fake numbers in for the stats. No problems. The only differences are that the locked fields are black instead of gray, and pressing tab takes you into the locked fields anyways instead of cycling through all of the white ones. No big deal. Can't wait to put this to work for real, thanks Jack! |

I haven't tested the statistics/math functions in any way in Open Office 3...so tread lightly here. I know that it didn't work with Open Office 2.7 because it didn't support some of the statistics formulas that Excel has and rounded numbers differently...it would populate the fields...but the values were not the same...not sure about Open Office 3 though. Give it a whirl...

No worries jack, i'll do that. But so you know, 2.7 didnt open alot of things well either...the v3beta was not bad at all and my test excel spreadsheets i have viewed perfectly in new v3. Having said that, the 'underlying' core maths may not be perfect but i'll test this week and post here. Robbie.

I bought this too (thanks Jack!), and I'm interested in whether it works with Open Office 3. I'd rather not install Excel 2007 if Open Office 3 can do the same. Can someone test this to see if Open Office 3 returns the same values as Excel 2007? Thanks! |

Simon, Thanks so much for your purchase... Not only are you going to learn a ton about how to improve any Adwords Ad, you're going to actually see how powerful statistical analysis of your PPC campaigns can really be. I've seen as much as a 400% increase in CTR% on the CONTENT NETWORK ads even...powerful stuff! Cheers, Jack |

kellyfish, Great question...this stuff never changes...it's based on a complex statistics formula from the early 1900's. That's really the beauty of it...you submit the info and the Adwords Engine does all the complex math and tells you which headline, description line 1, description line 2, and Display URL is STATISTICALLY GOING TO WIN over all the options you have submitted. Pretty sweet stuff! Cheers, Jack |

TomG, I'll let the others chime in who would like to share their results...but I wanted to give you the actual stats of a test I completed for "article marketing" keywords just last week. I have 50 keywords that are tightly themed around a certain "sub-niche" of article marketing. The Adwords ad is running on the Search Network and I am testing position #7 for Broad, Phrase, and Exact match terms. (150 keywords total) The best ad had a .46% CTR but the conversion rate was 0%. The worst ad had a 0% CTR but and obviously a 0% conversion rate. Keep in mind that because I am paying only .53 cents per click on these highly competitive terms, that frequently the ad is falling to page 2...so the CTR will be lower than usual. I'm working from the bottom up to find the winners using a lower budget than usual...Position #1 for these keywords would average about $3-$4 a click. So, with the test completed, I now have improved the CTR to .60%...and the best part is that I have improved my conversion rate to 7.7%. ![]() My current cost for conversion at position 7 is $6.98...the Net Profit on the product is $59...not too shabby. From here I just start working up...higher positions will bring more clicks and guarantee that I am on page 1 more often...and I'll be closely watching the conversion rate to make sure it is maintained. Hope this helps, Jack |

Dave, Sorry I missed this question when you asked it. YES...the product will work for just the content network...if that is what you want to work on. Since it's based on statistics and math...it's not prejudiced. ![]() I've seen great improvement in CTR and Conversion rate for Adwords Ads that I have running ONLY in the content network. Hope this clears things up, Jack Duncan |

Keith, Great question...glad you asked. The short answer is no. The long answer: The math formula will work for any network that has 4 lines...the headline, descr line 1, descr line 2, URL. The problem is the template that performs these math functions is currently setup specifically for Adwords. Manually trying to do all this would take a lot of work if you went the old route of cutting and pasting into Yahoo or MSN. I'll look into what it would take to make a template for Yahoo and MSN... Thanks! Jack Duncan |

HI Jack Bought the wso and it looks interesting the way your software comes up with the best add, I have just one question. Would it work if we used dynamic keyword insertion in the add? i.e {keyWord: Default Headline}, maybe using software like speed PPC In other words would your software be able to tell me which headline worked best, the one with the searched key phrase in the add or the default. Keith, Missed your previous question... Yes, while the template is intended to work with Adwords, you could still use it for Yahoo and Bing...but it would require a little more work on your part...but the math formula would remain the same and as effective. Thanks, Jack Duncan |

@k60mall, The method for coming up with the best ad variation is based on orthogonal arrays and the Taguchi Fractional Factorial Testing Method... Of course, don't let any of that junk sound "scary"... I hope you can see how easy it all is in the spreadsheet file...just copy and paste. ![]() Enjoy and Prosper, Jack Duncan |
