That was exactly the thought process behind this WSO.

When you're starting out, a lot of WSOs look alike, and it's very easy to be dazzled by sales copy and promises - at the expense of knowing the simple Trust Factors that make a WSO worth purchasing.

I agree, in some ways it's a slightly sad state of affairs that we need guides like WSO Trust at all - but often less desirable WSOs aren't intended to be malicious in any way. It's just occasionally that people try and circumvent the WSO learning curve, or they post WSOs before they're ready.

I've got absolutely no qualms about selling this at $5 - there are far less useful WSOs that sell for far more. And, at some point, this will be set up as an offer outside the Warrior Forum, and the price for that will be higher still.

I'm not personally recommending any WSOs in this report.

What I'm doing is giving you the 8 things I look at with any WSO before I buy it - the 'Trust Factors'.

Nowadays, as someone very experienced with WSOs, it takes me seconds to look at a WSO and decide if it's right for me - but I realise for someone newer, there's more to think about. So, that's why I put this report, and the Trust Factors together.

They're all very easy to apply, so after you've read WSO Trust, you can look at any WSO and decide if it's right for you.

Very much appreciate the comments. Trust is so important in Internet Marketing and a lot of new marketers just don't realise that.

You can fool people people to buy from you once, but never a second time.

And people do have long memories. So, that quickly pulled together WSO can do your business a lot of damage in the long run, even if it makes you a little bit of immediate cash up front.

With the speed that WSOs move through the forum these days, you could be spending thousands of dollars a week if you tried to buy them all. Being alert and aware is so important for everyone, newcomers especially, and I hope I've expressed that well in the WSO Trust report.

I think I made a mistake pricing this so low, as it's not selling as fast as low cost WSOs normally do. I hope people aren't getting the idea that a low price equals a low quality product, as assessing the quality of a WSO is nowhere near as simple as that.

It's not the sexiest topic, so it may not be the most obvious WSO to buy. But this is cash well spent, for information that could save you a lot of money - from somewhere who has been there (and bought the T-Shirt).

From the point of view of WSO sellers, I agree that these meeting these Trust Factors is vital for a good business.

There are additional things to consider (such as - is there really a market for this WSO?), but working towards the Trust Factors is essential too. And, when posting WSOs at $40 a time, making sure that you have an audience who trusts you is well worth it.

Thanks Candace. I hadn't thought of this so much as "How to Launch a WSO", but of course everything in WSO Trust can be applied in that direction.

I must agree. I'm always happy to pay $10 over and over again for good quality actionable information. It doesn't matter if it's a short report, so long as I discover something new which is useful for me. And, if it saves me a little time from having to wade through a load of information and different, often conflicting, information sources - that's worth it to me too.

But why doesn't Warrior Forum police WSO offers more carefully in the first place, rather than allow scam artists to peddle their crap in the first place?

It devalues the Warrior Forum to allow this stuff, and it wastes our time and money finding out if they're of value or not.

Funnily enough, I asked for first refund yesterday for what I thought was a substandard WSO. Got my money back no problem, but why not have a bit more quality control up front?

I can see why the Warrior Forum operates as it does.

They review the sales copy, rather than the final product - and, if the presented offer reaches a certain standard, the product can be released as a WSO.

I can well see that reviewing products would be a thankless task, and probably not even feasible under the current WSO pricing structure (to be fair, it is one of the cheapest forms of advertising).

I guess the short answer is, I don't have a good answer, apart from to stress the need for 'Buyer Beware'. I hope WSO Trust comes in useful there.

I'd like to think that, in my time at the Warrior Forum, I've picked up a lot of valuable tips about WSOs. I normally think about those in terms of running WSOs, but buying WSOs (which I also do a lot of) is also very important. Probably more so for new Warriors, as, if you end up buying the wrong offers, you can end up being put off Internet Marketing forever.

And, none of us would want that to happen.

Just read it. Handy advice and quick read. Thanks for putting this valuable info into an affordable little package.

I'm just in the midst of having probs with a recent WSO purchase. Basically, it's a product and it doesn't work. And I can't get a hold of the seller...

I have to admit, the seller did meet most of the criteria you mentioned in your report. But I did hesitate to buy at first, because there was no mention of support and I couldn't find any other contact with them other than replying to the WSO thread, sending a PM or leaving a visitor comment (which I did all three). I should have paid better attention to that nagging feeling. I should, I should, I should...

Hopefully, the buyer had a good reason for not getting back to me and will handle this situation in an ethical manner. I still have hope (and it wasn't a tremendous amount of money. But still!)

So all that said, what I would add is:

- make sure you have an additional way to contact the seller besides through regular WF channels. Do they have a website listed in their signature, which could lead to an email?

- check their public profile and look at their 'last activity' date (top left side) and make sure they've been recently active;

- finally, make sure the WSO post is not too old. I'm sure an experienced and ethical warrior member would close a WSO that is no longer valid. But I'm also pretty sure there are others who are a little greedy (or desperate), don't really care about their reputation (it may already be somewhat shady), who leave it open for business. While there are others who may simply be inexperienced and don't realize they are being unethical by continuing to offer a product that should be closed.

In the end, newbies like me may have to get bitten a few times to learn the ropes!

If I ever do a V2 of WSO Trust, I'll definitely mention those, especially checking the 'Activity' around the post. By default, I only really look at the first page or two of the WSO forum, which is always active, but I know there are plenty of people who end up in the WSO Forum through the Warrior Forum search, or Google and so end up in the older pages. If you're new to the Warrior Forum, it's not so obvious that you need extra caution there.

Hope you get everything sorted with the WSO that's been causing you problems.

Thanks Roberta, I did produce this particularly for new members (the kind of guide I wish had been around when I was new), so I'm glad was WSO Trust has been helpful for you.

The alternative contact idea is an excellent one. One thing worth doing is clicking through to the user's profile here on the Warrior Forum. A lot of Warriors have their blog listed, as well as their Twitter account (and often Facebook as well), all of which are good contact mechanisms.
