Personally I would have preferred one pdf file instead of 4 separate ones. The service agreement is essential and makes you more professional.
The code samples in the templates is a nice touch to help people with html.
The flyers could be done in an editable format as well as just the pdfs so people can customise them if required. Otherwise some of the flyers are quite funny.

Overall a great package with everything layed out for you, great tips, and videos lasting 1hr 43mins.

The only thing left to do is to put it to work.

I actually thought about rolling the PDF's into one but I kept them separate just so people could more easily get to the exact information they were looking for.

As for the flyers I made them so you can just scribble in your email or phone number down the bottom of them but if you do need some type of editable format I could provide it for you - just send me an email. I just didn't want to provide PSD files because I know a lot of people have no way to edit these types of files. I just wanted to keep the whole course as simple and straight forward as possible.

No I don't include the QR code side of things in this course. They are very simple to create and implement though if you would like to use them. I suggest you head over and read through this very comprehensive thread about QR codes as you will find everything you need in there to get started producing your own QR codes for customers. You'll also learn some great ideas on how to best implement the mobile web and QR codes into a local business.

When you say the 'scripts' do you mean the mobile redirect scripts or are you talking about the actual mobile website template?

1. If you are talking about the mobile redirect scripts then yes, they can be installed very easily on Wordpress sites and in the tutorial videos on Mobile Redirect scripts I show you exactly how to do it. You can also install them on static sites obviously and I show you how to do this as well.

2. If you are talking about the actual website template then please refer to the FAQ section just beneath the main WSO offer on the previous page as you will see I have written a little explanation as to why this template is NOT a Wordpress theme.

I just purchased Mobile Business in A Box and took a look through the items.
Although I haven’t seen all the videos yet, I have checked out the mobile site templates and the documentation on how to use them.
If you consider this part of the package alone without the business plan, you would have to be completely mad not to spend the bucks on this product.
The amount of time and effort saved by stumping up 17 or 27 bucks is way above and beyond what you would expect in a normal transaction.
If you want to set up a little business that is very straight forward then this is a steal!!

Only just downloaded the content and can honestly say that I have not seen a more complete business in a box solution. I haven't viewed the videos yet but judging by the content of the PDFs this is going to be really easy to get started with and earning a good income very quickly.

The template included in this course is more geared towards small local business service providers and would not be suitable for a big ecommerce site. There are however other templates out there on the market so it would just be a matter of finding the template that suits you.

I like to target the small local businesses just because you can get in contact with the business owners very easily and the sites they require are usually very simple.

Yes, it is definitely possible to sell these sites without meeting people face to face. Obviously it is not as easy as meeting with a business owner in person however I give you some methods inside the course that will help improve your chances greatly. The truth is if you are delivering the right message in the right way you can sell anything to anyone, anywhere in the world.

Even someone meeting clients face to face could struggle if they get their 'pitch' all wrong - like so many do.

Just think about the tons of products and services people buy online every day of the week (even this very product) from someone whom they have never met before and will never meet. If you can convey the value of the service and show them that it far outweighs the cost then you can definitely sell this service to business owners anywhere.

I'm reading the "Selling Your Services" manual as the videos to download. Lots of solid tips there and I really like how you lay out a unique twist to a video review on p.19... using mobile validation sites.

Honestly, the Service Agreement template that you provide is worth the price of this WSO alone, IMO.

In regards to why I don't like to use Wordpress plugins to develop the mobile sites I answered this (kind of) in the FAQ section on the previous page...

Q. Is there a Wordpress Version of the Mobile template?
A. No there is not. One of the most important things you need to consider when building a mobile website is keeping the file sizes down to a bare minimum so the site loads nice and fast for those users on mobile devices. If the site does not load fast then there is no point having a mobile version - no one will see it. Wordpress adds a whole lot of unnecessary code and scripts that slow down sites and are not needed on a mobile site like this. Besides, it's much easier to install this template than have to go and install and configure Wordpress each and everytime.

You are more than welcome to use a Wordpress plugin to develop your mobile site if you prefer, it's totally up to you. I just choose to try and stay away from them.

As for adding auto-updated news pages for your mobile site this can be done using Wordpress but is not included in the template. If you need this functionality I can show you how to do it.

The reason I left this out is that most local service providers I deal with don't really have a news section on their main websites and those few that do haven't wanted it on their mobile site. I'm guessing someone out on the road on their mobile phone looking up a local service is probably not doing so they can read their latest news. They are probabaly after a contact number, a location map, opening hours, a menu or something like that. This is the information I try to concentrate on with my mobile sites.

I hope that makes sense.

Yes, you do need access to their site to add the redirect script. I have never had any problems with people not wanting to give me access to their server. A few have already had their own webmasters and in those cases I have simply handed over the script and website and instructions on what they need to do. It literally takes about a minute to install.

A few customers didn't even know their control panel login details (go figure?!) so I got them to contact their hosting company and get them for me. Most domains have their control panel located at mywebsite.com/cpanel so once you have the login details it's pretty easy to find their control panel.

Inside this course you will find a download called 'Webmaster Install Instructions'. This is basically a folder you would give to the customer if their webmaster is installing the redirect script and/or mobile site themselves. It has simple step by step instructions and includes the mobile redirect scripts they need.

In the case of you installing these redirect scripts yourself, they really are a piece of cake. One of the tutorial videos shows you exactly how to install the scripts on a Wordpress or static site so you can watch me do it step by step - it's pretty simple copy and paste stuff. If you can copy and paste then you will have no dramas.

Here's my story...

I've bought, used, and raved about several mobile marketing products recently. No, I wasn't going to add an offline business model to what I'm already doing, but several friends (who own local businesses) clearly needed help.

A lot of them aren't really online, and only check their email once a week. So, it's not a case of saying to them (or any offline client), "Is your website mobile?" It's more like explaining the numbers. (For example, 50% of all Americans over age 13 will have and use smartphones by the end of 2011.)

I've bought some other mobile marketing WSOs and related products. They're great for overworked business owners who are online and have a website. Many of those business owners haven't a clue that the mobile audience's needs are different than someone at a desktop or laptop computer.

Other clients already know they need mobile representation... they just don't know who to hire for the job. That's what I thought was dealing with, locally.

Then, I started talking with my friends. I discovered that a couple of them have only the vaguest idea what it means to make use of "the new yellow pages" -- aka, reach the smartphone audience via mobile devices.

The Mobile Business in a Box provides the extras I was missing. It's clearly thought out from the standpoint of, "Okay, your client may know nothing about mobile marketing. You need to know how to find that client and work with him or her, effectively."

This product builds your offline, mobile-related business foundation and leaves nothing out.

It's not just, "Put some flyers around town and you'll soon have all the clients you'll ever need." This product includes the flyers. (Flyer #6 made me laugh out loud. It's definitely an eye catching idea!)

If you looked at this Mobile Business in a Box and sighed, "Oh no, not another offline/mobile business product...," and don't get this, you'll be missing the boat. It's filling a much-needed service by giving you some of the nuts-and-bolts tools that will save you hours and dollars.

The best place to install a mobile optimized website is on their current domain using a subdomain such as m.website.com. Just like m.facebook.com and m.youtube.com. So no, your customers will not need to get another domain for this or even any extra hosting.

By all means you could also install the mobile website on a .mobi domain but it's totally up to the customer - Google suggests just using the subdomains anyway.

If you are not sure how to setup a subdomain then don't worry. There is a video inside the course dedicated to that very topic.

Yes, all the tutorials videos walk you step by step through the whole process of setting up the site. Every technical aspect is covered and you can simply copy exactly what I do. If you have any questions on top of that then I am always just an email away.

I have had a look at a couple of other products. all good enough but highly priced! This ticks all the boxes. Videos that go through the steps without fluff, but enough detail. You've answered some questions about marketing too, so that it it clear what is needed and how even an antisocial hermit could go about getting customers. I really think this is a gem. So many products give you a week's work and it's a waste of time. You have concentrated on the real practical basics. Another thing, you CAN explain stuff for the non technical and that's not that common. Well pleased with this.

Thanks for the question. At the moment there is just the one template style included, once again this was just to make things easier and less confusing for people.

I will however be trying to get a couple extra templates out over the next few weeks and will put them in the members area when I do. I have tried to keep this template as clean, fast loading, and generic as possible so you can use it with any business type. Most of the pages are only around 4 or 5 kb in size so these things display nice and fast for mobile users - which is the most important thing.

There are also other mobile templates out there available on sites such as templatemonster.com and the like which you can purchase if you want something completely different.

Just a quick visit to say Thanks to Will for how he set up the membership area...

Will made the downloads very easy and I wish more WSOs were set up like his. He gave 2 download options - One download for everything and separate individual downloads for people that are on slower connections.

I logged into the site, downloaded 2 files, and had the whole WSO on my computer. So many other WSOs make you download many individual files 1 at a time...

So thanks Will for making this WSO very easy to purchase and download. Nice job all around and good example for others on how to setup a WSO properly!

Really interesting no frills product! I am very impressed - I like the idea of a discounted review copy as I always seem to miss out on free reviews. Now to the product - it does what it says on the box.
What I found most interesting was the sales advice within the pdfs. There is a really useful appreciation on just how to sell( in this context to local businesses)
I found the argument that in time terms an online sales approach will convert as many leads per week/month as personal approach and meetings, which of course take much more time, very convincing. I happen to agree with it as what we also forget is that many business owners will also avoid personal contact for exactly the same reasons as we might!
They are ordinary people - just like us!
Overall a really useful pioneering product, well worth the price!
