Elliott: You can put it on a domain, put you can only make one site with it, HOWEVER since it is dynamic you could use ONE domain and just give it other keywords...

So...you could make a site using "Britney Spears" Videos like
michael-jackson videos <- michael jackson
or
videos <--- britney spears


And you see its all using the SAME site/url!

If you however really want more for more domains, PM me and i cut you a deal for multiple scripts.

right now there is one set of templates, i didn't have time to make more yet.

You can hand-edit the templates and use other headers, of course.

Rajul,

there are two text files.

keyword.txt
and
config.php

In the first line of keyword.txt goes your "site keyword" and then 15 or so more keywords which will be put as a menu on the side of the page to select from.

In config.php you put your site URL, adsense ID, you can also change all the colors for the ads.

That's basically it.

Then you upload the whole thing to your site.

You might want to replace the graphics/headers....header image is header.jpg which is 740x150 and you could use ANY image and make a header and replace this.

I have all this in the documentation.

Configuration is very simple and i am not sure whether an admin-interface would make sense, at this point <---

However i have some more ideas and if i have time i could program an admin interface and more layouts and ways to chose headers/layouts...the script right now is so light-weight that an admin interface would probably be the most complex part of it

I deliberately do NOT want to make this a complicated "youtube clone or video sharing site"! There are enough programs out for this purpose already. I wanted a simple, light-weight "little" script without much bloat for quickly making Video Sites for AdSense, Clickbank Ads etc.

OK, so you mean I can have one videosite at a time, yes? By changing the keyword, it will re-configure itself to change from a Michael jackson site, to a Britney Spears site, or any other keyword of my choice?

OK, I see that the Michael site can be viewed at the same time as the Britney site, so does that mean I can enter a lot of diffrent keywords and it will create a different site at the same time for different viewers? Is there a limit to the number of keyuwords it will support? Is it the 15 or so you mention in your post above to Rajul?

well right now the keywords on the side are "hardcoded" since they are in the keyword.txt and the keywords are displayed. You could just leave the "keyword.txt" empty or just use general terms like
"Music Videos"
"Pop Videos"

And you can certainly then call the script like mysite.com/britney-spears/ and it would show britney videos...and you can call the same site
mysite.com/coldplay-lyrics/ and it shows videos from coldplay with lyrics.

Its not 100% perfect yet, it COULD for example automatically generate the menu....eg if i give the keyword "country song lyrics" it could generate an menu automatically with related videos. Then you could use the same site for country music....but you could also pull and display Anime with "anime" as keyword. But i didnt program this yet, its on the list. Then it would be 100% keyword driven.

One important clarification: do you mean on one primary domain if one has to use the script to establish mult subdomains to establish pages related to keywords.......we have to but license for every sub domain.

The idea is: if I have a primary domain called:
toprecipes.com

and I want to showcase different pages pertaining to diferent receipes like:

potatorecipes.toprecipes.com
chicketrecipes.toprecipes.com
salads.toprecipes.com

...........do we need to buy license for every SUBdomain........
if this is the case then your script would prove to be damn expensive.

Thus if I have 5 additional pages then I will have to pay you: 37+5X10=USD87????

Pls clarify.............OR if you have a different idea to implement what I have in mind..pls let me know.

i might consider lowering the price for additional domain but i do NOT think that $10 per additional domain is expensive.

if you want to run on 5 subdomains you buy $37 + 4 additional licenses which is $77.
This is ONLY if you want to run on FIVE subdomains, so you get 5 licenses for the script, and this all for $77.

But anyway i will lower the price to $5 per additional domain, but i have my doubt that this will satisfy you.

This would make $37 + $20 (4x$5) = $57 which is still DIRT CHEAP for basically getting 5 licenses!

Take a look at Georg's explanation to me a few posts above.....

You can "hard code" some number of keywords (maybe about 15?)sand they will show in any of the site's menu..... OR you can leave the keywords.text blank, and just put the keyword into the url of the site, thus making as many urls as you want, thus essentially creating as many sites as you want, all on the one domain! Anyway, that's how I understand Georg's explanation....

What you are actually creating, as I understand it, is not a static site, but the POTENTIAL for any site to be called up, depending on the url extension that is used. Georg?

Okay I think I've got the right understanding here.

I use VideoSiteQuick to establish my own video finder/feeder site.
eg LeesVids.com

Then I can use this to call up (build-on-the-fly) video sites, from my other sites and domains, by-way of the "url" I link to.

So,

MyFootBallSite.com could "create" a Ravens video site by linking to something like ...LeesVids.com/ravens-game/.. to showcase Ravens game videos.

and

MyWrestlingSite.com could "create" a Wrestling video site by linking to something like ...LeesVids.com/the-undertaker/.. to showcase Undertaker videos.

... and so on.

If this is correct, then only 1 domain is actually needed, but more might be desired for bandwidth splitting. I ran a similar- but el'cheapo- type script on 1 domain and it ate my bandwidth up. Granted, the vids were served by youtube. But examining our logs we determined that surfers were sitting on the site and just using the "search" box to search through youtube for hours at a time. I guess the constant refreshing/reserving of all the thumb-nails of the vids was what ate the bandwidth.

So, some questions.
1) can the "search" box be removed?
2) can the urls "to" the script be cloaked/encrypted and still work?
3) can the script be protected to accept "calls" only from "my" other sites, IP filtering with ".htaccess" or something like this.

(2 and 3 are to prevent "others" from catching on to the linking protocol and using my site as a video-site-builder for "their" site. Like this...

4) any way to have "different templates" used-- depending upon which site (niche) made the call to have a video-site built.

i didnt have time to make new templates, but as far as i remember the search box is part of a template and they *can* be edited with basic HTML knowledge.

As for your questions in regards to IP filtering, you would rather do this from your hosting CPanel, there are options for filtering and IP blocking. Please check in your hostings Control Panel.

Encryption/Cloaking should NOT a problem, i wouldnt nsee a reason why it wouldnt work.

Besides, VSQ uses cacheing, so the download bandwidth should be SOMEWHAT limited - however you are right, if someone would use the site for hours to search youtube videos....but that problem is out of the scope of my script .)
