| How I Add 249% MORE Subscribers To My List DAY IN, DAY OUT... 100+ Sales And Counting... Hi, Frank Haywood here. Thanks for viewing this WSO for one of my own favourite IM plugins - Slide Up (Footer) Ads. When you buy, you can use this plugin on all the WordPress blogs you personally own. (Middle-click to open a larger version of the image.) Here's a quick feature run-down.
Download or view the PDF docs here You can see the plugin in action on my own blog here:- FrankHaywood.com How Did This Plugin Come About? A couple of years ago I did one little thing to my blog that more than doubled my subscriber sign ups...By doing absolutely nothing extra other than installing a slide up footer ad, then since that time I've dramatically increased the number of subscribers, week in, week out. I have proven beyond any measure of a doubt in my mind that putting a slide-up footer ad on my blog increased my mailing list sign-ups by 249% in the first week of use and ongoing since then. I know that sounds incredible, but it's something that just can't be ignored. My stats for the 12 months leading up to the installation of the script were for approximately every 17 visitors, someone subscribes. I get a lot of repeat visitors who are already subscribed, so I've been okay with that figure of 17-1 and I thought it was pretty good for a blog. But it turns out I was WRONG. Big time wrong. By using a slide-up I immediately pushed that number up to nearly 6-1. After a week of use I found I was getting a new subscriber for every 6 or 7 visitors - that's just under 2.5 times more subscribers. You have GOT to take notice of results like those, and it's been one of the most amazing things I've seen. I found that for every 10 new subscribers you've been picking up from visitors to your sites, then suddenly you can push that number up to 25 from the same amount of visitors just by using this plugin. Considering the industry standard rate that a subscriber to your mailing list can mean up to a dollar a month in income, then you have to ask yourself just what are you losing by not using it? Health Warning - These are my own stats that I came up with for another script I was asked to check out at the time. I would LOVE you to share yours with me. I was so amazed at the results above that I later decided that what we needed was a plugin in order to to make the installation and usage a breeze. And so the Slide Up (Footer) Ads plugin was born. Screenshots Here’s a screen shot of part of the admin panel:- ![]() And a picture of the drop-down rules:- ![]() The colour picker if you’re using a plain background:- ![]() And the buttons that can be added to the slide up ad:- ![]() Note in that last image that there’s the usual X (which always appears on the ad), an optional minimise button which will allow the visitors to close the ad for a period you decide, and also an optional power button which will close the ad permanently until you use the "Reset Viewers" check box on the admin panel settings page. Pretty damn cool huh? Quote:
Slide-Up Footer Ads - The HARD Way and the EASY Way You can make it hard on yourself by using a standalone script, or you could take the much easier route with this plugin. The HARD way - standalone script
Why mess around? Make it easy on yourself and get this great plugin at a heavily discounted price. Don't leave it too late - the price is rising every few sales. Full price of this plugin on launch day is a minimum of $27.00. If you have any questions about the plugin, please let me know here in this thread, or PM me. I'll add more detail to this WSO if required. All the best, Frank Haywood FrankHaywood.com

Hi Frank, Thanks for the WSO offering today. The plugin does indeed look good. Do you happen to have a website (you can PM if you would like) so I may take a look at in action? Thanks James |

Hi James, Thanks for that and hah! What a good point and something I completely overlooked. I have it in use on my blog which is where the annotated screenshot came from above. Be careful if you click the power button as it will stop the slide up from ever showing again unless I reset it for everybody. ![]() My blog link is in my footer, but here you go. FrankHaywood.com It's currently set to show the first 5 times you view any page and then every 10 page views after that. My reasoning is that after someone has seen it 5 times and ignored it, it's a good idea to hide it for a while so they *may* notice something is different and notice it again when it reappears. Plus it doesn't bother my regulars so much, many of whom have probably hit the power button a long time ago. -Frank |

No, they'll have to power it off to stop it from showing. But... If you as an admin wants to reset the ad cookie, you just check a box in the admin panel and it's done. From that point on it's as if they were a first time visitor. That's really useful for showing a different ad if you decide to change your offer. -Frank |

You're cool! Like all my plugins, I had this built for my own personal use first and then put it up for sale initially to my own mailing list, and now here as a WSO before I make it live on its own sales site. Join the WSO list when you get the confirm email and stay on it, I have some *great* products, some of which I'm sure will blow your socks off. ![]() -Frank |

Ah, thank you Joe. Once I get going on a project, I do try to pay a lot of attention to detail and think about all the different circumstances that a plugin may be used in. That's what I've tried to do with Slide Up Ads. -Frank |

Hi Tina, I can't absolutely say with 100% certainty that it will work with any theme, but I can't see why not. What happens when someone reports a problem is we ask if we can have FTP and WP admin panel access to take a look ourselves. Then we look to see what the problem is and see if we can fix it from our end. The upshot is our plugins become more and more reliable over time. ![]() We *have* had some problems with earlier versions of the Slide Up Ads plugin, but we think it's now fairly stable. We now use unique function and class names (prefixed with "pgsua-" for example) so that our plugins don't clash with other plugins or themes that might have declared the same names. The biggest breaker of plugins BTW is new versions of WordPress. ![]() I hope that helps. -Frank |

I use Getresponse for my autoresponder. Since the strip is about 3/4" tall, should I create a little table in HTML with the name and email address fields that is a little less than the height of your ad strip? Thanks Steve |

Hi Steve, When you paste your autoresponder code into the box, select the "parse HTML" checkbox and save. The plugin will attempt to strip all the unneeded code out and reformat it to fit the ad strip. Then uncheck the "parse HTML" box and save again. You can now edit the code by hand or in a tool like Dreamweaver to fit properly and to your liking. This is exactly how I do it. The plugin has variable results when parsing HTML, but there's a good chance it will get you 80-90% there so you only have to do a bit of tweaking. That's the theory anyway. ![]() If there's enough interest in a plain old HTML slider, then I might get someone to take a look at that. It would probably use a simple config file to store all the parameters instead of a db as that would be overkill. -Frank |

Hey Frank, Very nice plugin. Well done. I bought another popular plugin that included a footer ad like this but it was a pain to setup and didn't have the nice templates like yours. This plugin was easy to setup and get going without having to mess with a lot of other stuff so I like your plugin a lot better. The PSD files were a nice touch making it easy to customize the templates if wanted. Great job and at this price, it's a steal! Alan |

Hi Zm, From PMs and emails, it looks like quite a few people from my blog didn't get it first time round. It's such an effective plugin, but you can't always tell just by reading what someone has said, you have to experience it for yourself. For quite a while I'd been monitoring my visitors to sign up rate on my blog, and when I installed a slide-up footer ad, although I thought it might help a bit, I was stunned when I saw the conversion rate change so dramatically. I hadn't changed the offer I was already presenting in my sidebar, I just added it in as a slide-up too, and POW! ![]() -Frank |

Hi Mike, Anything you like. All it does is present your HTML sign up code and offer in the footer as a slide-up. So you may not be interested in getting them to fill in the boxes there and then, you may just want to draw attention to another page where you get them to sign up. You can do that if you want. -Frank |

Hi Steve, It's picking up your movement around the blog too. The stats are just a toy and I almost didn't include them, but my dev thought they were " a good idea" so I went with that. ![]() If you really want some decent stats then use a paid service like StatCounter. I wouldn't bother with that free Google one, whatever it's called, it doesn't give you the detail you need to make educated decisions. It was StatCounter plus a calculator and a pen and paper (old tech) that gave me the figures I've quoted here. Google Analytics - that's it. It just came to me. Pretty useless compared to StatCounter and others. -Frank |

Hi Alan, Ah thanks for that. I'm sure in time I can make the Slide Up Footer Ads plugin better, but it's always a balancing act in loading an app with useless features or keeping it clean. I think in this case I've got the balance right. One more feature I definitely want to add (no fixed timescales, but probably later this year) is per page/post slide-ups. It's quite complicated to get right and still keep simple to use, so we'll have to see when I can slot that work in and get it done. In the meantime, for our IM purposes then in most cases a slide-up per blog is a real good thing to have. PSDs - Yeah I never understand why PSDs aren't included. If it's a theme, or a sales page design, then yeah, okay don't include them as you have to have the skills to slice it all up and convert it anyway. It's time-consuming. (I guess it wouldn't matter then.) But for packages like this, it's really nice to have the PSDs as if you have PhotoShop you can just go in and tweak the colours to match your blogs theme if there isn't one close enough, and change the text, then save. Ten minutes of work and you've got a truly customised slide-up. As for price, yep, it's great in this WSO. When I put the official site up (proper sales page design etc already done) then I'll put the price up to a minumum $27 in order to give affiliates a chance to make some cash on it through my upcoming unified affiliate scheme. (More on that another day, probably on my blog.) -Frank Quote:

Hi Harrison, You're the fifth person to ask me that, and I'll give you the same answer I've sent to those who emailed me. I'll put something together today (probably tonight before I get to it), and also for my other plugin pack WSO. I knew this was something I had to do, but I mistakenly left it off my list when putting these two WSOs together. As it's a WSO, I'll keep the price low, probably $10-$15. (When I officially launch then it'll probably be a $67 option - $27 to buy for personal use and then another 40 bucks for a dev/client/flipper licence.) I think that's what you wanted to hear? ![]() -Frank |

It's explained on pages 10 and 11 in the PDF. We've made it dead simple to do. Just take the PSD (or create a new image in your favourite graphics editor to the dimensions specified in the PDF) and edit it and save with the names and folder structure stated in the docs, and upload by FTP. The plugin will then find your new template automatically and you can select it. ![]() If you're happy with creating graphics with PhotoShop, it's really easy to do. -Frank

Looks like a cool plugin. Is the slideup shown site wide? I looked at the PDF manual and it appears that's the case. I didn't see any mention of being able to create different slideups for different posts/pages. Is that something you'd consider putting into a future release? Thanks. |

Hey Frank, If we buy this now, do we get lifetime upgrades? If not, how long will you provide us with upgrades? Also, do you plan on supporting and improving this script? I ask because I see great potential, but I would hate to buy if it will stay as it is and never get any upgrades or updates. Sincerely, Jaime |

Hi Jaime, I'm sorry for the delay in replying, I don't spend too much time at the WF unless I have something going on. I just read your PM about this. You don't get lifetime upgrades, but you do get all minor upgrades up to v2. So I released this at v1.0 and at the moment it's v1.2 as we fixed a few styling bugs and added a pile more templates bringing it up to 79 variants. At some point I'll get some more templates done and add those as a v1.x release. If any bugs turn up (it's quite robust now), or someone has an idea for an extra feature that isn't too big, we'll release new v1.x versions and you get those for free. For v2 I'd like to change the plugin so that it can display different ads depending on which page or post is being viewed by a visitor, and also add ad groups. That will take quite a big coding change, so it really will be worthy of a full v2 upgrade. Again I'm sorry for the delay in responding. All the best, -Frank Quote:
