Paid search is just one place where demographics are important - in fact, I'd wager that you'd struggle to find a section of Internet Marketing where knowing who your audience is loses its importance.

Thanks Robert, I think providing extra resources like YouTube videos helps some people, but as you say, the report goes beyond that.

There are some tools you can use which can really enhance the demographics information you find, and they're covered towards the end of the report. The meat is on Yahoo! Clues, but it never hurts to have extra resources in your arsenal.

Yes, I think 50 pages is a good length for a report (I very rarely produce short reports - and when I do I always label them as such).

I don't think there's anything wrong with holding down a job, and progressing as a marketer. It adds security and offers a different perspective on things (I always get the impression that some of the full time marketers lose touch on the wider world).

For anyone interested, the back end products are completely optional. They're three of my previous reports that haven't been very widely seen, so I've offered them as a collection with a huge discount. They're also on three topics that work really well together.
