Ok, I must admit I thought this would not work....

Bought it late last night (because I could not resist), put up a REALLY crappy site with a 150 word post (only 15 different cities). Today I checked and one of the posts was allready indexed and at spot 12 You gotta be kidding me!

This was for a european country though so might be easier outside US. But I`m just blown away how it works.

I'm very interested in this plugin and I think I understand most of what it does and how it can be used.

For example - I would like to create a local business directory site with separate pages for both cities and types of business. So the primary menu selection would be by city. This would then take you to a page where you could select dentists, plumbers, gardeners etc. I understand how I could create that structure within Wordpress.

My question is this - I would need to create a separate draft page for each type of business - the page suitable for a plumber would not be suitable for a doctor, for example. Can the plugin allow me to do that?

use subdomain . register com-texas.com or something and you can have city.com-texas.com or register com-dallas.com and you can have dentist.com-dallas.com, cars.com-dallas.com etc.as your subdomain. Subdomais ranks as good as main domains

The plug-in is not working properly for me. I've uploaded my cities, drafted my post, followed the vid, seo'd, posted tags, inserted {city} into seo keywords etc and it's only giving me the one page with nothing happening. Would really appreciate advice...where am I going wrong?

You have so many pages in this thread that I am sure it's hard for everyone to read every single post to see if their questions have been asked, so again you guys have been very patient. This is pretty sweet. Besides the fact that it targets all the cities you want, but the fact that itll duplicate your pages automatically by just changing the city tags. It's a great way to make alot of backlinks? or just pages, Im no pro, and Im not using this to cater to a specific area, but it has spread my tags for every page and I have found that with the google analytics plugin on WP I can easily get my pages indexed. Now I decided to do a 277 original cities since my product is global or strictly for the US, so I wanted to know if theyre going to catch the duplicate pages with just the city tags changed......Thanks.

Yes make a new post page and then enter in everything you want for all the post pages and itll spread out and duplicate that page, only changing the {city} tags. It'll make a page for each city you list in the Local Pages Ninja plug in. Then index them through Google analytics. Pretty sweet stuff, you can find good keywords too using the google adwords key optimization tool. Goodluck!

1) Any way to add a feature where you could upload a zip file of x-number of unique seed posts...then have the plugin rotates through them? We would insert the city tags (or other variable data tags) in the posts before they are uploaded to the plugin.

2) With capability for more tags, other than {City}...could we not just use tags like {Content 1}, {Content 2}, etc., where "Content" = snippets or full articles of alternative text.

Delete the Draft post (Trash it) and the posts should disappear.

I had the same problem but then I went back into the Page and hit the [Save Draft] button a few times and then went back and checked the Page list and there they were! Worked a treat.

Why is it a problem? I have a site wih several hundred posts so I've used this plugin to create pages instead, none of which can be navigated to on the blog but Google will find them through my XML sitemap, plus I'll probably fire a few links at them over time.

Isn't there a way to set how many posts it shows on a page? If so it could be set at one and the {city} post would only show?

A lot of us live in large cities and plenty of local business [painters, plumbers and so on] are more after a per suburb listing than per a city/town.
Could you please touch this angle too.
If we do list suburbs and use them for a place holder {city} - most likely there would be situations when a potential customer looking say for painter will come across exactly the same posts [or pages] that promote a painting company in a suburb A, suburb B and so on.
Do you see any problems with that? If I were that customer, I probably would not call such a company [or may be I will - not sure here, it just might look more like a spam pages than not].
It would be just great if you can give some ideas on how to use and monetise suburbs.

1. Use the Related RSS Plugin to give you unique but related news content targeting your chosen city on the sidebar of each post.

2. Use Plugin Creator Pro to insert unique content onto the bottom of each post.

These are just a couple of ideas and I'm sure many of you will be able to think of others.

Watched the new video. It cleared up a LOT of questions I had. Just a couple more to clarify;

1. If I have a draft saved, as long as it does not have the "{city}" tag, the plugin will not promulgate it, correct?

2. The number of posts/pages is based on the list of cities I have installed. One city, one post/page, 200 cities, 200 post/pages? Correct?

One other thing I thought about; the possibilities of this plugin as a backlink creator? If you linked internally to a good content page on your site, that would give you 200 internal backlinks and could really boost a a particular pages ranking. Also, you could link to another site, giving you 200 backlinks to that site. Yes, from the same domain, but from different pages. And...if you used a different server and registration name, no way would Google know you owned both. Also, it has possibilities as a link wheel generator. I am sure someone else has already thought of all this, but just thought I would throw it out there for comments.

You can add anything you want in the placeholder {city}, the plugin doesn't know what you've input in your list is a city, town or parish. When you go to the city list management page and add your list just input the suburb names and then the larger city names. Or put them both with a comma. I just added 1 to my list, went back to my main draft, hit save draft and checked all pages and there it was. So if you put the suburb,city in your list and all the large cities too that way you cover all your bases. Also on your main draft, if you install the exclude pages plugin, on the right side where you edit your page, make sure you untick the " Include this page in lists of pages" That way only the page for a certain will come up and when someone goes to that page they will only see the city they inputted in the search engine. Hi Diana, forgive me if I ask you about this, ...being in trouble just like Madalena. I posted a new post as a draft, followed all the tips of Jeremy, then more than 100 post were published on my blog. I deleted them all and did again the same things, thinking being wrong somewhere...and they were republished.
What can I do, in your opinion, in order to avoid this publication? Do you think it's better to create a draft page instead of a post?
