Q: I receive an error when I click the "Already purchased?" link from within the program, and it sometimes hangs during updating.

That did the trick - now testing proxies

Once tested clicking on status bar doesn`t sort the proxies.

Proxy Multiply has been updated to version 1.0.0.3 to address the exception you were having an issue with. To update your copy, just restart the program!

I also added a feature to notify the user if they do not have any proxy testing options enabled

People use proxies to stay anonymous online. Most people requiring proxies in a large number like this program produces use them for some sort of automation (craigslist submissions, ebay postings, etc.. anything that you might need your IP masked for).

I am sorry to hear that you found the wording about registering confusing but if you shoot me a PM with exactly which text you are talking about, I will clarify the wording

Unfortunately, Proxy Multiply is currently restricted to one computer per license key. However, I will add a simple page to update your license from one computer to another if it can be made use of! There will be a time limitation on this feature (e.g. once every 7 days or so to prevent user abuse).

Whoops! It's amazing what one line of code can do (or not do)! Fixed. As usual, just restart your copy of PM for the changes to take effect.

In the latest version, I also added a feature to allow custom URLs to be inputted for the "Fetch Fresh Proxy" button. That way you aren't getting the same proxies everybody else is (the 'View URLs after crawling' option would go excellent along with this!).

Played with the trail and seems to work ok. Then purchased.

It would be nice if you could get the program to work on 2 computers as we all have desktops and laptop. You can make it that it works only on one computer at a time like the best spinner.

I installed on my desktop but my emails run on my laptop so seems I have to run it from there.

When I set the proxies limit to 5000 it don't seem to work. When I don't limit I get +- 29k + but as I want to test them first it takes a long time and it would be nice to get the limit working unless. A number next to each prox would be nice as we can then select say 1000 and delete the rest to only test 1000.

For a basic run I get first time 345, tested then +- 30 dead, I then used the tested OK ones on a program to do some job and then there was +- 20 dead after job so I managed to get +- 290 working

To me that is very good so nice program and a steal for $5

Actually, it did work! I can see where your confusion lies, though. Although the proxy search finished and found 29,000 proxies, your actual proxy list displayed on your screen only held 5,000. I can see how this could be misleading though so I will force the proxy searching to stop if the list is too large (as it should; consider it an oversight).

Personally, I feel that a number next to each proxy would make things cluttered, BUT I am willing to meet you in the middle and display the current number of selected proxies!

Proxy Multiply retrieves standard HTTP proxies, so if the proxy tests as Anonymous/High Anonymous, I don't see why not! Be sure to check the 'Check country/anonymity of HTTP proxy' option in the settings window.

I do not use any kind of Craigslist ad posting though so I cannot guarantee that. I can't imagine why CL would need any sort of special proxies, though.

Tried the trial, ran it, tested and got over 365 proxies. Ran the proxy test in Scrapebox on the tested list and only 10 passed.

If you just click the Fetch Fresh Proxies button, you are essentially using the same proxies as about 300 other people - I would not expect most of them to work with Scrapebox!

Be sure to click the magnifying glass search button in the upper left corner AFTER you load in JUST those 10 working Scrapebox proxies. Then you will find other internet sources of proxies containing the same proxies that worked for your particular application.

Sure thing!

Most proxy "leechers" or harvesters work in the following fashion: they leech proxies from a list of preconfigured URLs, often which are not even daily updated (e.g. a forum post from last year, etc).

Proxy Multiply searches the internet for fresh, new, updated proxy lists, using the following logic: you provide a list of proxies, probably by using the "Fetch Fresh Proxies" magic button. Then you test those proxies. Now you have a list of working proxies, right? Proxy Multiply uses THOSE same exact proxies as a search basis to find other proxies.

It is like if I had a car in mind to research, say a Corvette. I would google for Corvette, and read 20 different websites about it. Proxy Multiply searches for 121.91.72.244:80, and reads all of the other pages containing that proxy. You could do this by hand, using Google, but Google will limit your searches and it is very tedious. Proxy Multiply does all of that hard work for you, and you will not get search limited.

I would imagine so. I do not have SB but that is the method for using the program effectively.

We are waiting to deploy other updates at the same time; including the ability to export a proxy list as a CSV file with country/last checked/speed and the ability to upload the proxy list via FTP.

I am saying this because when i scrape 40000 proxies and check with SB almost 80% proxies are blocked by google and if we compare to PG their proxies almost 55% blocked. So may be you have to considered this matter asap.

hi - can you (or anyone) tell me how this compares to proxy goblin which Ive heard a lot about recently and was about to purchase until I saw yours.

What my experience in just one day of buying PM. I see PM is faster than PG of filtering out elite or anonymous proxies and definitely now the elite is king of all proxies. Rest of both the same thing and price comparison.

I just picked up the trial and I think the program is great, will purchase soon but I would like to also know the cities of the proxies I find using your tool.

Can you recommend any way for me to get the cities without doing it all one by one?

Proxy Goblin does NOT HAVE the unique search technology that Proxy Multiply does. Proxy Multiply is more than a leecher. Read about the features at Features | Proxy Software | Proxy Multiply. Proxy Goblin is only a leecher.

PM'd you back. We would like to add this feature to Proxy Multiply but it would add 30 MB of data to be downloaded for the city database; keep your eyes peeled for an update in the near future to address this, though.
