I was given a copy of this ebook by Delanda for review. My background is ppc marketing and seo. I have not focused upon building a customer list although I have always known this to be a core element of a successful online business. As such I was attracted to the concept of "Simple Strategies For Building A Mailing List"

The ebook promises to cover two approaches, the under $100 campaign for the budget concious and the large scale approach for larger rewards.

Squeeze pages, where to advertise and methods of using affiliates to develop the initial signup are covered. There are a number of pages discussing how spammers work and get their emails delivered, not so that we can copy but to educate the reader on what they are competing with.

Techniques to attract leads include explanations of co-registration and how you should write your copy.

My limited awareness of email marketing included aweber and getresponse. The section on mailing companies outlines much more powerful solutions out there for high powered mailers. This is beyond my ambitions as a start up email marketer as the monthly expenses were very high.

At this point I had nearly lost interest but the ebook then addressed the under $100 approach. A couple of low cost companies to use and an outline of low cost, profitable campaign are given.

In summary I learned of the make up of the email marketing industry, got a step by step process on how to set up a campaign, became familiar with a low cost approach and read in detail of how the high volume email marketers work.

This is not a guide which will take you through your fist steps into building a 50 strong email list via your own site using awebber to communicate with your list but an insight into a more professional / focused approach with higher targets. It does address low cost and higher cost approaches to buying a targeted list and ensuring your offer has high deliverability in a CAN SPAM complant way.

Some areas to further develop the ebook.
- add a contents index and stress which sections are for the high powered email marketer with a large budget and which are for the smaller start up operator.
- consider putting the low cost option first and then build to the higher cost, more effective options which the reader might migrate to as their business profits develop
- add in a section as to the authors background to add credibility to the advice given
- screen captures of a few more squeeze pages to illustrate best practice in capturing email addresses
- give details of some actual product offers which have converted through email marketing

I were one of the lucky few to recive a copy of Email Marketing Profit System.

You will find a backbone in this book.

It covers everything I can think about to get started with email marketing and work your way up the latter.

Before I read this book I only knew about the regular low cost auto-responders.

This book gives you powerful alternatives with higher price tags.

If you want an overview on everything in email marketing, this is a book for you.

I have used the low costs auto-responders myself for years. The ones mentioned in this book are the most known. And I have been searching google and other download sites for high cost alternatives.

With the recommendations given in this book, I would feel comfortable to sign up with one of the email marketing softwares.

There are also lots of resources on were to advertise and buy leads through out the book.

A smorgasbord for we who wants to get in to email marketing, the basics and resources are here.

The book somehow lack specific methods, tactics and how to set up profitable campaigns.

There is one example of a squeeze page and why it's successful.

Guru is a word used frequently in the book as the ones to watch to learn email marketing from.

While the word "guru" may turn some newbies on. I don't feel that do it to attract experience marketers outside of Email marketing fields.

The author gives proof in a screencapture from a profitable CPA campaign while later explain
he generated 10 times as much through another CPA deal.

Other pin-points to consider:

*Add background of author and Introduction to the idea behind the book
*Create a contents index
*Format pages better, some pages begins akward or over-lap each other in strange ways
*Could consider testing other fonts
*Embedd the price of the book in the introduction to percive value
*Better proof about income and other claims
*A picture of the author?
-In general more detailed advices

The writing style are too the point, and the book is well written all throgh.

My Honest Review

Definitely it's a good book to read and this book lists up some information regarding email marketing that I have not read anywhere else before. But, somehow I do not like the entire look-and-feel of the book. I feel that the book lacks its visual attraction a bit. Otherwise, information-wise this book is pretty good and highly recommended.
