The free WSO Alerts are a way for you to be instantly notified when a new WSO is: 1) posted by a particular Warrior or, 2) contains the specific keywords of your choice.

The system was designed with both WSO Buyers and WSO Sellers in mind, and can benefit everyone who visits the WSO forum, whether to browse, buy or sell...

I think the way it works is fairly self-explanatory, but check out the two sections after the link below to get all of the details you need to make the most out of the service.

A WarriorPlus account is required to use the system. This takes about 30 seconds to setup, and can be done by following the link above.

DETAILED INSTRUCTIONS

WSO BUYERS

Main Features of the System:

• Be notified immediately when a new WSO is posted by any Warrior that you have added to your Seller Alerts List.
• Be notified immediately when a newly posted WSO contains the keywords that you have on your Keyword Alerts List.
• The ability to setup Daily or Weekly Alerts for any Seller/Keyword that you don't want to receive immediately.
• Easily pause or delete any alert on your list at any time, without having to "opt-out" of any lists.
• Setup RSS feeds based on your alert lists and receive alerts in your RSS reader.
  

You will also have access to all features of the WSO Tracker and the rest of the WarriorPlus system. See the WarriorPlus site for all of the details.

How To Add an Alert

There are a few different ways that you can add a Seller or Keyword to your list: Fill out a form on use a special icon ().

The Form


All you need to do is select the Type, which can be either "WSO Seller" or "WSO Keyword", enter the Seller Name or Keyword, select how often you want to receive the alert (Frequency), and click the "Add Alert" button.

If everything worked like it should, you will see what you entered in the list below the form.

The Icon ()



On the WSO Alerts page, other pages on WarriorPlus, (and soon in WSO listings,) you will see the "wso alert icon" next to keywords and names of Warriors. Clicking on this icon will allow you to quickly add that Seller or Keyword to your alert list without having to type it in manually.

The Alert List



The Alert List is where you see all of the Sellers and Keywords you have subscribed to.

Using the Delete, Pause and Play buttons on the right of each entry, you can remove, pause and activate any alert on your list.

The RSS icon on the left will allow you to subscribe to an RSS feed for that particular Seller or Keyword.

Also, clicking on a Seller Name or Keyword will take you to a list of all current WSOs by that seller or that match the keyword.

WSO SELLERS

First, be sure to read the WSO Buyers section above to get a feel for how the system works and how your buyers will be using it.

The WSO Alert System was created with you - the WSO Seller - in mind. In fact, Allen suggested I create it to make it easier for you to get new and repeat buyers. The information in this section will help you do just that.

Main Seller Benefits:

• More Sales - Previous and Prospective Buyers always see your latest WSO, driving more sales, more comments and more testimonials.
• Social Proof - As Warriors add you to their alert lists, others will see this and wonder why so many people are paying attention to your WSOs, making them pay attention, too.
• It's Easy! - All you do is add a link or small image to your WSOs, and the system takes care of the rest. No additional work on your part is required.

Your Personalized Link

First off, I have created a text link that makes it easy for visitors to your WSO to add you to their alert list. It looks like this:

WSO Tracker - Tracking, Notifications, Watchlist, RSS Alerts, Stats and more... | Warrior+Plus

Notice that when you click on the link it takes you to page that only has one action: add the user to your WSO alert list (in this case, I added my username). Simply replace my username with yours (including spaces) to personalize the link.

WSO Alert Badge

I am in the process of creating a clickable image that will act as a "badge" that you can add to your WSOs with the above link embedded. This will include the special alert icon () that I shared in the WSO BUYERS section.

I anticipate it will look something like this:

Your WSO Alert List

...except there will be more to the graphic and a lot nicer looking. (You get the idea!)

This will create a uniform look so that visitors to your WSO listing will know exactly how to add you to their notification list. This will be similar to how it is done on eBay.

Most Popular Sellers

You will notice the "Most Popular Sellers" section on the right of the WSO Alerts page. This list contains the top 10 sellers who have the most people subscribed to their notifications.

As you might guess, being on this list will be beneficial, as all visitors to the page will see it everytime they visit. We all like a little competition, right?

Not sure if I've understood your question correctly. If you're asking if you can offer an affiliate product as a WSO, the answer is no.

The Rules:

1. All WSO's Must Be Something You Created. A Product Of Your Own. (A package of ebooks someone threw together is not considered a product and will be deleted) This is completely self explanatory and not up for debate. If you yourself did not create the product do not post it here.

I have recently found out that these problems are being caused by some changes that have been made to the PM system here on the forum. I am trying to work on a solution with Allen, and hope to have it fixed soon.

Thanks for looking into this. In the meantime I've used the RSS feature that you provided. I've created RSS feeds for the authors I want and plugged them into rssfwd.com. This will notify me by email any time there's a change.

PS: I think that PM feature may be causing other problems. I've noticed that more (normally reliable) people are not responding back to PMs, probably because of the 60 second delay.

This has nothing to do with notifications but I was wondering on what basis some WSos (and threads in other forums) have 5 stars, some have 3 stars and most have none at all.

Who awards these stars and on what basis?

Sorry if this post is in the woing thread but I recently made a purchase partly because the thread had 5 stars and was not happy with my purchase. So I thought it best to get some information on how these stars are awarded.

No PM confirmation was sent to my account. I tried registering again but it said my user name was in the system from my previous registration attempt. I tried retrieving my password as well.
