I would say $50 or so for most people...doesn't get much cheaper than that. It's spent on the things that you would need for most online businesses, domain name, etc...

It is NOT PPC. I can rule out anything blackhat, or MLM, any "fad" or social network, things such as craigslist, myspace, etc... It's not making money with adsense either, no adult sites, no gambling, etc...

As to how fast you can make $3k/month. As with any business that is going to vary on your motivation, work ethic, etc... I've seen $5k in the first month using this method, and there are probably people who never do anything.

I would say a couple hours per day should be fine.

No real IM experience is needed, not much in the way of technical skills or money either. No PPC, third party services either.
