I have a lot of customers in other countries. If you do business with customers in the US, the course is a good thing to have to insure you legally comply with US rules and civil procedures as a company who does business within the US.

I was just curious, If these templates are so important how come you don't have any of them on your website? You don't even have a Terms of Use or Privacy Policy, which are pretty much needed on any site with a contact us form. Are you saying they aren't needed after all?

If you use the copyright disclaimer that I have provided as an example and your material has been infringed, you would definitely have an edge up. I cannot tell you how to go after the bad guys. That would be up to a attorney with copyright legal experience.

I do not give legal advice but I have experienced copyright theft personally and I believe my experience and the information I have provided will give you that edge that if your copyright policy is on your web site and your material has been taken or used without your permission, it is more likely than not, you would pervail in a court. You should always consult an attorney prior to starting any litigation or any information from a non lawyer.

Gary, I guess you haven't been to my site as all the disclaimers are in one section. Look under Legal.

I didn't answer because I didn't know the thread existed until you pointed it out and I got it in my email.

Gary , you might not need these disclaimers but every web site has them so to be safe, I would at least have one. So Somewhat true is incorrect.

Website disclaimers are important. I understand these two men questioned if they were important based upon my website. Don't use my website as the benchmark. My legal is mine.

Don't take my word for it. Always check with legal counsel to make sure your disclaimers pertain to your web site and cover your specific needs.

Always research thoroughly before making statements that are inaccurate. Always check with a lawyer.
