Definitely looks like a time-saver, but am I right in thinking -
  • it only tracks keyword density on a total site basis?
not a page by page / post by post basis?
  • does nothing with lsi / secondary keywords?
  • also, can it put H1/H2 tags in logical places?

Thanks

Jeremy, please suggest one or two of these free plugins so I know what to buy.
If you go to plugins from your wordpress install and just put in "keyword density" you will be given several "free options" that all pretty much do the same thing...

Yes, it is fully compatible with the latest version of wordpress

What do you think? Jeremy
I'm checking into a couple of things to see if I can identify the issue.

(Question - Does the plugin process pages as well as posts?)

If you wanted to get REAL neat with the plugin, you could add a maximum number of posts to be processed and add a "scheduling" feature....like run the plugin every two days and process up to ten posts. Then users could just set it and let it go. The servers wouldn't get overloaded because all old posts are being processed at one time. Auto-blogs would even be handled with this set up without having to remember to go back and manually reprocess them.
That does sound like a cool feature, so I'm going to add it to the list and run it by the coder to see what benefits/drawbacks there are to adding it.

That's something that I've already been looking into - Being able to block pages/posts/whole categories.

Are you getting this error right after you install? So, you install, hit activate, then your getting an error?

The plugin shouldn't even be considered for keyword density. That was added as a "helper", but that isn't it's funtion.

It works with ANY keywords that you specify, so primary, secondary, it doesn't make a difference.

It puts H1 at the top of a post/page and H2 towards the bottom or at the end of the content if it is "short".

If we optimize the site with a set of 10 keywords, then go back and optimize the site with another 10 different keywords, will it undo the previous 10 keywords bolding etc or just ignore any bolding/italizing already done?

Is there a max amount of posts I can have on my site? After I install the plugin and then go to the settings page all it does is wait a few moments and then I get the Fatal error: Maximum execution time of 30 seconds exceeded. I've done this on a site with 700 posts and one with 70 posts with that same error.

It did work on a site with 30 posts. I'm just going to assume it's timing out because it's looking for keyword density. Is there a way I can prevent it from doing that?

"With a site like you have, I would install one of the free plugins that does nothing but figure out what the keyword density of your site is for the top keywords, and then load those results up into Auto SEO."

Jeremy, I need just one more bit of explanation...my auto blog (with thousands of auto-syndicated posts) does NOT have any keywords identified. I found several free plugins that determine keywords and keyword density, but because all my posts are already "published", do I need a keyword plugin that first

a) adds a box to posts and pages that shows the top 6 keywords from each post/page

or...

b) determines the top keywords from ALL the 100,000+ completed posts combined?

I hope this makes sense. Several free plugins seem to do the job but keep in mind that I have ZERO influence on the content of the auto-syndicated posts before they are published. I think the distinction would be critical. Sorry if I'm over thinking this and making your job overly difficult.

Suggest if you got this far down you do the same too.

Isteele ... there is a zip inside a zip... make sure you unzip the first file and use extract the plugin inside to upload to WP. I initially made the same mistake as I didn't notice it was a zip inside a zip. Hopefully that's what's going on for you and my suggestion fixes it for you.

You must be MAD to create something as useful as this and then only charge $14 for it!

... but I love you for it and I look forward to putting it to use on all my blogs, cos Im so lazy I just never got round to SEOPressor-ing anywhere near all the pages I set out to do.

Superstar WSO - thanks so much!

All the best

I think this is a great idea Jeremy.
And $15 is not a lot to risk for the potential time saving, SEO automation benefits of this plug-in.
And I also have a feeling that Jeremy will take in to account our most mentioned requests or suggestions about added features and will come up with a great update very soon, and at that time (or earlier, who knows) the price will change for the rest of you, because I am in.

The only thing I can think of is that it is conflicting with something...

Are you unpacking the original zip file and then only uploading the zip file with the plugin?

As of right now, it works with all of them. Being able to exclude certain posts or pages is something I'm working on putting in though.

Scotty
If you optimize for 10 keywords, and then optimize for 10 more say a week later, it will leave what you originally optimized - OPTIMIZED and then it will also OPTIMIZE the keywords you are lisitng now.

If you read the "readme" first file, it will tell you step by step how to install it....It sounds like you are uploading the entire original zip file, which is why you're getting the error.

1. Download the package
2. Unzip the package
3. Upload ONLY the .zip file with the plugin in it NOT the whole initial download.

If you have a TON of posts and are trying to optimize quite a few keywords, you might need to adjust the max execution timeout in your hosting. If you can't do it yourself.

That won't be an issue for long though - In the update I'm working on, we are making it so that the plugin works in a way that it actually "takes a break" before it reaches the max timeout and then finishes up, so regardless of the number of posts/pages timeouts won't be an issue.

Couple of options...

In the admin area of Custom Auto SEO there is a list of "suggested keywords" to optimize for, but that's just there as a helper.

If you wanted to get some more accurate/extensive data, you can use a site like: Keyword Density Checker - Keyword Cloud or one of the many keyword density plugins that are available for free from wordpress.

What I like to do for sites like that though is to look in awstats or something liek that to see which keywords people are using to find your site and then optimize for them as you're likely to see a decent improvement due to the fact that Google is already showing those phrases a little bit of love...

It works with both posts and pages alike

UPDATE IN THE WORKS RIGHT NOW

1. The ability to "undo" any changes that are made
2. The ability to exclude certain posts/pages/categories
3. "scheduling" - We are trying to see if there is a way for the plugin to handle large lists of keywords on a schedule of sorts.
4. Optimizing posts/pages that are in "draft status" - I havn't gotten the final answer on whether this can be done or not, but it's something that I'm pushing for.

I expect to have this update done and out in the next few days.

I purchased the plugin as I have the other similar SEO tools that you mentioned and this will be ten time easier! Thanks for helping to make on page SEO easier for all of us.

I do have one problem to mention; When I was directed to the member's download page, for some reason it captured the wrong email address so I still have not received the download for the plugin yet. Please advise as I could not get a support e-mail to correct this with the payment company.

Hi Jeremy!

Thanks for this - I always check out your stuff cos its always so useful.

I know LPN has seo features but I optimize for a number of keywords in the spun pages I add so this plugin will be a great help there.

I just read about the updates so I'm gonna hang on for those before I use this but its a real helper and is going to save me a bunch of time using 'find replace' functions to html all the important keywords - now I'll just use this!

Interesting...I love anything automated

I'm in..will be putting it to work soon.

EDIT: tried to purchase but there was a Payment Error saying it had a problem connecting to JVZoo. Will be back to try again later.

I'm also having problems with getting this plugin to work. Installed it on 4 blogs and all either showed a blank screen or getting the "Unable to select Post content from database" error.

If and when this plugin functions correctly it will be awesome.

Can you try to redownload the plugin and install it, please? One other person that was having the issue did so, and they are no longer having the problem.

I do have one problem to mention; When I was directed to the member's download page, for some reason it captured the wrong email address so I still have not received the download for the plugin yet. Please advise as I could not get a support e-mail to correct this with the payment company.

Ms. WEBFINDER
If you still havn't received the download, can you send me a message at jeremyshelpdesk please and I'll get it taken care of right away.

I installed with no problem, I activate with no problem, I click on auto seo with no problem and when it open the page I get a white box with the error.

How many files should there be when unzipped the install file. And, why is it 7kb in size zipped. maybe one batch of download was incomplete maybe. I am trying to get this resolved with you. Let me know what to do to get it to work. Maybe send me another download link to see if that works. If I don't get this to work, I can exchange the plugin for another one of your great products, ok buddy.

Here is an update Jeremy...I removed all plugins from one of my site and re-installed and reactivated custom auto seo by itself and I am getting the same errors. So we cannot say it is the plugins conflict. Please let me know, thanks

Product Name: Auto Custom SEO Plugin
For Support: jeremykelsallemail@gmail.com

If you are giving bogus support emails, perhaps you should not do that.
This is the original email that I sent to jeremykelsallemail@gmail.com

Jeremy
When I click on Auto SEO I get the following message

Custom SEO Automation
Unable to select Post content from database.

This Blog is located on HostGator
7 Minute Workout

After 24 hours I did not feel like tracking you down to get your attention.
You filed a paypal dispute as a way of getting support...

I've refunded you already - There's no way in hell that I'm going to have customers that I have to worry about filing disputes if within 24 hours if their email gets lost or things are just to busy for me to answer right away.

Unfortunately, we aren't a good vendor/customer fit.

If someone that is getting that error doesn't mind, can you send me login info to a site where you are getting the error so I can have the coder go in and take a look? If you can, send it in ticket form to jeremyshelpdesk.com

I re-downloaded and reinstalled and I still get this error when I click on Auto SEO under Plugins?

Checking it now...

With a couple of users help, it looks like we were able to "identify the bug" - it has to do with non standard tables and the way that the plugin handles them.

We should have an update out in the next 24 hours to correct this.

In the meantime...anyone that is having an issue or getting any error at all, please send me a message to the help desk so I can make sure to get you taken care of...

jeremyshelpdesk

I want to make sure that this functions error free for everyone, so no error or issue is too small to let me know about...Thank you everyone.

Jeremy:

Uninstalled, reinstalled, deactivated, reactivated, blah, blah, blah, still getting the "Unable to select Post content from database" error. Have installed it on 3 different blogs, including a brand new install with no other plugins, and getting this error. Would really love to have this working, been waiting patiently for a fix to come out. Hope you can get this fixed soon!

Hi Jeremy, I bought your plugin, although I haven't plugged it in yet

I watched your demo video though. Just a thought, should you be doing future upgrades. I think that the added ability to link between posts (rather than only to the homepage) would be invaluable for SEO. I've heard of high ranking blogs that got to that position simply due to internal linking. How about adding that function to the plugin?

I'll give it a try shortly and see how it works. I'm looking forward to it, thanks!

Hi Jeremy,

Bought this plugin 3 days ago. Downloaded, installed and activated.
Clicked on the link in the left menu of my wordpress to run the program and got this error
Custom SEO Automation

Fatal error: Maximum execution time of 30 seconds exceeded in /home/balibali/public_HTML/wp-content/plugins/custom-auto-seo/custom-auto-seo.php on line 190
And this one Custom SEO Automation
Fatal error: Maximum execution time of 30 seconds exceeded in /home/balibali/public_HTML/wp-content/plugins/custom-auto-seo/custom-auto-seo.php on line 149

Uninstalled the plugin and tried again. Same result.

Contacted my host and they said there is no problem with my server or Internet connection and that there was something in the plugin that isn't right as it was exceeding the maximimum time of 30 secs for shared servers. They cannot change the time limit.

Using wordpress 3.3.1 and Theme created on Artisteer. All other plugins loading and operating fine. Just this one is playing up. When I deleted the file I deleted it from my hard drive too and downloaded again from your site in case the download was corrupt. Same problem. Cleared browser cache and cache on my website. Still have the problem. Don't know what else to do.

Just repeated this and just getting blank screen. It just gives the name of the plugin at the top of screen and nothing else but a large empty box with the error message still. Already sent you two emails regarding this and have had no response so I am posting request for help here.

Regards

Ian

spoke to hosting support and they said its already set to 256Mb. They said It's not a memory usage issue , it's a php time limit problem. The .php script is running longer than the maximum allowed limit of 30 seconds for a shared hosting account. The only way i can increase that time limit is to get a dedicated server. This is the ONLY plugin I have with any issue of this nature so its obviously a problem with the plugin itself. The script is taking too long to resolve.

HI - 2 questions please.

Will it work only with WP sites?

I sent out an email to everyone a few hours ago...

The update has been released - In order to get it, you will need to go back and redownload the file...

There have also been some additional features added.

1. The ability to undo any changes you've made
2. The ability to exclude any posts/pages that you don't want to have optimized by the plugin.
3. Log files so you can see which keywords you've optimized for and when - and the ability to "roll back" those changes if you desire.
4. The engine has been rewritten to be "faster" for those of you with larger sites.
5. A help section has been added within the plugin.
