Regarding reference and samples of work, you can work with freelancers. There can be some form of agreement such as you can do the prospecting and he will do the order fulfilling. There are many ways to do it. Most freelancers will be happy to pass some of their work samples for you to use for your prospecting.

Gradually you can work with more than one freelancer and have many different samples with different styles to suit different taste of your customers.
