Support
Here are the instructions, we also provide full support to our customers via email. Your cookie will usually override those set in the future. That is how affiliate systems have setup their own system. It's only fair that way. I also forgot to mention that warriors are saving $70 off site price. |

Just to confirm, if a visitor has been stuffed witha cookie and then uses another person's affiliate link the other person will get the commission as it overrides the stuffed cookie?

Our set cookies will override all other set cookies.
Our software is setup to blank the referrer. Yes with slight modification you will be able to set a referrer though we will not offer support for this at the moment. |

Yes, the person that sets their cookie last will gain commissions.
Unless you are running a form of malware locally on the computer and are always setting your own cookies. |

Yes the person that sets the cookie on the visitor last will make a commision. That is why most people set more than one cookie at a time to cover a range of products instead of just doing one.

hmmm..... I thought that most affiliate programs have it setup to whoever had their cookie placed FIRST gets the commission. Perhaps its different for affiliate programs such as Amazon or Ebay where the cookie expires after a short period of time.
Every week or so I get affiliate commissions where the URL referrer was actually from another affiliate's web site. Therefore, even though the other affiliate referred them to the product site with their cookie being the last one placed, I still got the commission since I had my cookie already on their web site. Maybe some affiliate programs are different. But in my experience, the first cookie over-rides all other cookies until it expires. |

It's just like if you you had signed into an email service and clicked "Remember me next time" the last cookie set is always used.

a "last cookie gets the commission" setup. I haven't used this software - know nothing about it - But "cookie stuffing" is a minor issue when it comes to affiliates - by my studies 8% of a commissions are "stolen" while 25-30% of sales are never tracked as they should be due to a variety of defiencies - poor tracking, phone in orders, etc. And when I say "stolen" that means I can see that the commission probably should have gone to someone else - in most cases this is just a link swap and has nothing to do with "cookie stuffing". If you think "cookie stuffing" is just about swiping commissions from other affiliates then you have not scratched the surface of the potential they enable. In more clear language - a lot of dumbass people have done dumbass things - and a lot of even more dumbass people who don't have clue one what they're talking about have said **** they shouldn't say because they're flat-assed ignorant. If I sound a little charged up it's because of dealing with people like Loozer who don't understand what's going on, who will make a big fuss about how this is designed to steal other people's affiliate commissions, yet buy products promoted to them by someone else with their own links (or the link of their love interest, same difference). There are a lot of ways to use this kind of tool to HELP people make more money - as a merchant I even ENCOURAGE my affiliates to drop cookies for certain specific benefits to us both, like SEO. I'm not saying "buy this product" - I'm not. But I am saying anyone with a little smarts can do very cool things with this type of software. X | |

X you are right on the money.
I'm encouraging anyone with a decent knowledge of PHP to pick up a copy of Smart Stuffer and modify it. Our code is clean and commented which provides a great basis for expansion. If you are really good at PHP + MySQL then you should be able to code your own. But you already know that

From initial testing of this script I have to give it a thumbs down.
Initially, there is a huge red flag that appears in your web page's source code to any merchant who is looking for cookie stuffers. Then there is the problem that it does not appear to be stuffing any cookies. Tried several links and programs, with numerous different IPs and different web browsers. Nothing. Checking the database, it does not appear that critical data is being set, such as tracking referers. There is a serious lack of documentation. Bottom line: a complete waste of money. |

Please email me at support@smartstuffer.com It seems that your .htaccess file isn't working. The img files need forcetype set on them for it to work properly. |
