I already updated to the new fan page timeline and it still works the same. It just posts status updates automatically that you have set up ahead of time.

Having a slight problem though...
The instruction pdf seems to be a bit outdated, I noticed several spots where the current facebook fanpage setup layout differs from the instructions.
I made sure that the browsers were free of addons or adblockers just to be safe.
I submitted a support email.
