| Would you like to avoid the shame and punitive actions suffered by the unwitting plagiarism? Read on... Publish To Your WP Blog With Confidence! Don't Be A "Sentence Stealer" Plagiarism will negatively effect your credibility, your pocketbook and your page rank! Even if unintentional! You need "Turbo Plagiarism Checker" to watch your back. ![]() Definition of Plagiarism "Plagiarism is the use or close imitation of the language and thoughts of another author and the representation of them as one's own original work. Within academia, plagiarism by students, professors, or researchers is considered academic dishonesty or academic fraud and offenders are subject to academic censure. In journalism, plagiarism is considered a breach of journalistic ethics, and reporters caught plagiarizing typically face disciplinary measures ranging from suspension to termination. Some individuals caught plagiarizing in academic or journalistic contexts claim that they plagiarized unintentionally, by failing to include quotations or give the appropriate citation. While plagiarism in scholarship and journalism has a centuries-old history, the development of the Internet, where articles appear as electronic text, has made the physical act of copying the work of others much easier, simply by copying and pasting text from one web page to another. Plagiarism is not copyright infringement. While both terms may apply to a particular act, they are different transgressions. Copyright infringement is a violation of the rights of a copyright holder, when material protected by copyright is used without consent. On the other hand, plagiarism is concerned with the unearned increment to the plagiarizing author's reputation that is achieved through false claims of authorship." Source: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Plagiarism In Specific About Online Plagiarism Simplifying the legal relationship between Copyright and Plagiarism, you'd just remember the following: Copyright laws worldwide do not protect the ideas, but they DO protect the way those ideas are expressed. Thus if someone copies and pastes a text from a source "as is" WITHOUT the original writer's permission and in violation of the "Fair Use Doctrine" (in simple words again: copy an except for your needs, but always mention the copyright holder) then s/he is a copyright infringer. On the other hand if someone uses the idea, say from an online articles that deals with web traffic, in order to create his/her own article, but used some exact phrases included to the original article, then s/he is a plagiarist. Thus the answer to the question who should care about Plagiarism online is simple: EVERYBODY that deals with online content. Some examples:
Suppose you hired a ghost writer to deliver 10 unique articles to you. If the writer used content from other web pages, then you paid for plagiarized documents - and that's not good. You do not want to get the result of some "mixed" articles when you pay for getting unique content. So each time you receive a written work such as articles or even ebooks, your first question to your writer should be: is the content checked against plagiarism? And the answer should always be YES - or forget that writer at all. What is CopyscapeŽ? Copyscape at www.Copyscape.com is an online service that helps the online community to perform searches and compare a text with hundred or thousands pages online that have been "traced" by Copyscape's "machines." You can imagine Copyscape as a "program" that has been programmed to compare the INPUT obtained by a user with online pages and then display as OUTPUT a number of links with web pages that contain parts of the text in question. Thus Copyscape works like search engines, GoogleŽ for example. While Google displays as results the URL of the pages that include the "keywords or key phrases" one uses in a search, Copyscape displays as results the URLs of the online pages that include parts of the text that exist in the webpage the URL of which you specified. When you visit http://copyscape.com you will see that you can insert a URL of a webpage (the INPUT,) click on a button and get some records of webpages (THE OUTPUT) that contain certain parts of the text in question. However, when you deal with articles and or ebooks IN MASS, for example, when you want to check 10 or 20 articles with Copyscape's service, you need to
Quite a burdensome procedure if you want to check -say- 20 articles and more. That's Copyscape also offers a Premium Account Service. What is the CopyscapeŽ's Premium Account? If you deal with many pages of content then the Premium service comes as a savor. Everyone can register a Premium account with Copyscape for free. While through the normal service you're allowed to insert 1 URL and thus check its content, through the Premium account you can also copy & paste the text to be checked, instead of using a URL. Additionally, and here comes the main benefit of having a Premium account, a Premium account holder gets a unique number that is called "API" (Application Programming Interface.) The API makes it easy to indentify the account holder and allow him/her to use CopyscapeŽ's functionality with other products and/or services. Thus by using the API one can instruct a programmer to create a script that will work installed on a server, or a software that will work installed to your computer, that will allow you to check a text without having to
What is Turbo Plagiarism Checker? ![]() TPC makes use of CopyscapeŽ's API in order to allow the blog's owner to easily use CopyscapeŽ's without having to access CopyscapeŽ's online and proceed with all the aforementioned steps in order to check a text against plagiarism. In order to use TPC you need first to create a Premium account with Copyscape, as described already and load your Premium account with some "searches." With the Premium account loaded by the searches you can then use TPC for checking any text included to your blog by just clicking a button. As mentioned before each search through your Premium account costs $0.05. TPC's coding architecture includes a "smart" searching, and thus you won't be charged EACH time you perform a search through TPC when checking the SAME text, aka. blog post. What Turbo Plagiarism Checker CANNOT Do? As it has been already mentioned TPC works hand by hand with CopyscapeŽ. TPC CANNOT AND DOES NOT check any online resource other than the ones that CAN be searched by CopyscapeŽ. Thus, you should not expect TPC to "check" off-line sources for plagiarism, or sources that have not been uploaded yet online and/or are not traced by CopyscapeŽ, or online sources with content that has not yet been traced by CopyscapeŽ In simple words: TPC works hand by hand with CopyscapeŽ ONLY and you should NOT expect anything else. First of all you can check the sales letter at www.TurboPlagiarismChecker.com The plugin has been just released. You can get it for $27.00 for the next 72 hours. LICENSE: Personal use only. You can install it on more than 1 blogs. Here is the order link: Turbo Plagiarism Checker After those 72 hours the price will change to $47.00 Enjoy! John P.S. Your order is protected by a 30-day money back guarantee. You can submit a refund ticket at www.TurboHelpDesk.com (but I cannot figure out why you'd do that. ) |

As it's mentioned above you can register free and get a Premium account with Copyscape, thus get the API you will need. Each search costs $0.05. For example you can pay $10.00 USD and be able to perform "200 searches." John " |

I have been using this Plugin too and it works great. You can easily keep an eye on your posts to see if anyone is blatantly copying without leaving your dashboard. The convenience factor of having this IN your blog makes this a must have plugin. It just makes the process so easy |
