This looks like a very handy tool. I have also about 30 domains and numerous subdomains....a nightmare to keep track of everything! |

Tony It is a very useful plugin. What kind of load that server will have where we will install this plugin and manage all our blogs hosted on other hosting companies. All other blogs will be accessing all the plugins and themes from one domain/hosting and I was wondering if we can host that domain on a shared hosting. thanks and regards Zm |

Looking at the video, it seems that if I wanted to upload and activate a new plugin or theme to all my blogs, I would still need to go to each individual blog and click to install, is this correct? So, if I have 100 blogs, this would make it easier to log in to each one, but I'd have to click separately for each of the 100 blogs. Or am I wrong and there's a way to upload the plugin one time, click one or two buttons and then the software will go to each of the 100 blogs, upload, install and activate without my intervention?

Hi Zm, There is almost no load on the server as it is only running a basic blog in practice. All the action takes place on your remote blogs. That's one of cool things about this it just acts as portal to your targets. cheers Tony

hello Do the blogs have to be on the same hosting account for this to work ? Also "update all" would be everything ? the WordPress script, all the themes and all the plugins ? I definitely want to upgrade all the plugins, but the themes sometimes, that could be a problem if you have customized some stuff. |

Thanks, Tony I have been waiting for this one. I went looking Sunday with no luck, even tried to buy on the sales page, so I am happy to see it has finally arrived. Purchased the single use. Can't wait to get it installed. This is going to be so much easier to access all of my sites and thank goodness I won't have to remember all the dang passwords. Thanks for thinking of it! |

The update all does not "update all" at once. It open the update page where you can choose exactly what you want to update from all the available updates. You can see that in action in the video. You have the same end control as you would if you accessed your blog manually. This just takes out the grunt work in the middle.

Well Tony. I can cancel my developer request. There used to be something like this and they quit offering it, so I had already put out a request to have this developed. You just saved me a ton of time and money. I really need this to help with my business. I am responsible for about 87 websites right now and I'm about to take over 50-60 from another marketer that is getting out of the business. I was really dreading that logging in and updating regularly. I have a plugin that notifies me when something in each website needs to be updated, but I still had to go to that site and log in. This is just plain awesome. Oh, and priced right too. JDD |

There are a few "chosen Warriors" that, for me, win my business almost every single time. Tony Marriott is one of them (I've enjoyed his "Monkey Graphics" WSO, for instance, to learn graphics at a whole new level - saved myself HUNDREDS in graphics costs!). This product is very similar to what I used to use: ManageWP from Vladomir Prelovac: minus the monthly fee (SKOAR!!), so I'm looking forward to using it. The real kicker is: I really only manage about a dozen sites...but that dozen amounts to TONS OF TIME whenever an update is needed. So if you're looking for a way to save time and run your business on WordPress like I do, this is really worth checking out (he's a man of his word, so if there's a problem, you have nothing to lose). Just MHO, frankly I'm feeling like it's Christmas time with this plugin: I've just gifted myself TONS OF FREE TIME over the course of a year! Thanks, Tony! |

Just purchased the developers license for this. Seems it's going to save hours upon hours of time with maintaining all the blogs of both mine and my clients. And time is the one thing we all want more of - so this isn't just a plugin but the gift of more time .. Thank you ..

Plugin sounds great. I have 1 main blog and it is incredible how many times plugins need to be updated. Since it is wise to always backup the site before updating, would it be possible to include this feature in a future update? That would be a huge timesaver. |

Awesome... I swore black and blue I was not going to buy any wso's this month as I still had not gotten around to some of the ones I purchased over a month ago... But I saw and email from Tony during the week, and I checked out his sales page and spoke to him about some update requests... and I have been waiting ever sense.... I am looking forward to the updates we spoke about... I had a figure in my head of $30 for the developers version - and I got it for that, awesome, bloody awesome.. thanks, this is going to make my life easier |

Tony, nice! What about adding a button which updates the plugins of all the blogs in one click? Could that be done? Ditto... doing all the core updates in one click? Gary |

GaryHarvey, The one click idea sounds great, but I've had a number of sites where the update doesn't go right... especially with WordPress updates. Most of the time when this happens I just have to delete the .maintenance file... but sometimes I have to to an ftp upload of the WordPress software. Now, admittedly this is only occasional, but it's taught me the importance of having backups and it also seems monitoring the success is a really good idea. The one click approach might not be best. But the backup suggestion MMMe had earlier sounds really good. And if we could do a one-button update for all sites, that would be good if there was a a way to catch failures that need manual assistance. |

Rich, thanks for your comments. I've been using wpDesktop for a while and it works fine as a mass updater of both the core and the plugins, but it's a single user desktop installation [and you have to load it each time - it doesnt remember] so I'd have to buy another copy for each VA. Thus my interest in Tony's plugin. We can easily cut our long list of WP blogs up into short lists with a VA managing only one portion of our sites. The idea of getting a descriptive failure report is a good one, as is the autobackup before it runs. Looking forward to Tony's responses. Gary |

My only concern is that all of my eggs (passwords) are in one basket. If the management server is compromised you also lose every web site under your care. This is a huge deal. Is there any additional security in place to ensure those passwords are protected? It would be nice if you had a password to log into the web server, then you had an additional password guarding the plugin data. |

Yes of course you need to be sure your blog is secure and in the instructional videos I go through that. My main suggestion is that you install a clean new blog in a sub-folder of an existing site. Turn on privacy so it does not get indexed in Google and add a blank .html file to the root directory. So it will be basically invisible. If you can't see it you can't hack it!! I also suggest a number of free plugins like firewalls etc. Security is important. On the other side of thecoin you can make your target blog passwords all different and very strong as yu don't have to remember them or type them. Up to date blogs and good secure passwords will dramatically improve your overall security. cheers Tony

Obviously the more blogs you have the more time this will save you. Although not a specific feature of WPIMC I do tell you how to use it to deploy an automated backup solution and I recommend it as one of the first things you do with this tool. Bottom line a good backup is the best security anyone can ever have. cheers Tony

Thanks for jumping in and buying. Yes, WPIMC accesses everything in exactly the same way as you would do it manually (just a lot quicker and more efficiently) so it does not open any "back doors" or insecure ports or anything like that. cheers Tony

Always glad to hear from you and thanks for your support. To mass update plugins or core Wordpress needs a new plugin to handle that installed on the target blogs. As one of the key features of WPIMC was that you did not need to install 100's of remote plugins to get started it did not allow me to have a one click mass update option. As Rich commented as well it can be risk if not used properly or if some fail (think installing 100 incompatible plugins-Yikes!). However it is natural development to further automate by using mass install/updates. As I said this will need the development of an additional plugin for the target blogs but that can now be easily deploy with WPIMC. I envisage that as a paid upgraded though - sorry It would definitely need include failure reports The same plugin would allow other remote activities like kicking off backups prior to updates/installs. Definitely on the todo list. Thanks for your great interaction guys Tony

Just purchased the dev license...this has come at a point where i'm about to set up about 50 blogs...so now my life will be made easier... I have tried many other wp management systems, mainly desktop based and also one server side, but have always come across issues or limitations. Seems that is about to change with this one Regards Craig |

Hi Tony, I'm sure this will be a storming WSO (it looks a cracking product) but I am a bit surprised that so many Warriors find it such a novel idea. It looks as though you are moving fast to accommodate suggested improvements - so how does this compare with WPDesktop (All In One), which on the face of it appears to take care of similar tasks?? Edit - extra just seen above - ************************************************** ******************** I've been using wpDesktop for a while and it works fine as a mass updater of both the core and the plugins, but it's a single user desktop installation [and you have to load it each time - it doesnt remember] so I'd have to buy another copy for each VA. Thus my interest in Tony's plugin. We can easily cut our long list of WP blogs up into short lists with a VA managing only one portion of our sites. ************************************************** ******************** Is this going to be the Easy-On-The-Pocket version of Marty's Wordpress Direct, with theme selection and co-ordinated Content Plug-Ins? Thanks John PS: Oh, I have bought the Dev Version - Cheers |

I haven't used WP desktop so I can only see what it says on the sales page. It seems to offer similar functions. Of course I cannot tell how they actually do that so it difficult to make comparisons other than what I can see on their page. It would seem that the plus to WPIMC is that for the same price you get the full untimely site/developer licence and that offer a lot more than single use. Maintaining offline company blogs must be huge market for one. WPIMC was never supposed to be an all singing and dancing system. It is a functional, easy to use system with most of the essential included. I wasn't 100% sure of the market but it has gone down a storm and that will enable me to develop this further. There is certainly no shortage of suggestions. I also have a article distribution system in the works and I can see it integrating with that down the line. cheers Tony

I am not familiar with that plugin so you have the advantage over me there. However everything that WPIMC currently does is shown in the video above so you can make very easy comparison. Although the 3 site limitation pretty much says it all. Thanks for asking Tony
