Q. Are there any software/server requirements?
A. Yes, but nothing you shouldn’t already have. The local video page template does require that your server has php enabled however this is the same scripting language behind all Wordpress sites so if you can run Wordpress on your server, you will have no issues with this at all. The video can be installed on a free video hosting site such as Youtube or your own private video hosting.

Q. Can I set this up if I am a newbie?

Q. Can you recommend a good SMS course or provider?

No, this is a tool and a tool only - there is no course portion to this product (apart from installation tutorials ofcourse). Everything you get is clearly listed above. You would get owners email addresses from their websites or whois contact information. But this is not just for emailing. You can use this as a landing page on your own website. The problem with most people's offline websites is that they try to do too much. You want to send your visitors to pages with only one message and one call to action - otherwise it just confuses the hell out of them.

Yes, all text is easily editable. The video page comes in it's own folder that you upload on to your website such as website.com/video. You could use the page by itself on the root of the domain if you wanted to you would just upload all the contents of the video folder into your domain root rather than uploading the folder by itself.

I will also point out that the video folder can be renamed to anything you want so it could be www.website.com/presentation/business_name or whatever you want.

Second, how do we get the owner's cell? Business numbers are easy from Manta. com, but cells?

You related that the owner's name goes in the url. Not clear about url. Isn't this just a text to a cell number? Or is this explained in video training?

I think you are confused as to what's on offer here. We are not sending anything to anyone's cell phones at all. This is a video lead capture page and how you use it is up to you. It's a good tool for those offline marketers who contact their prospects by email. Obviously no matter what you do you always need to follow the Can Spam act but that has nothing to do with this tool.

All text can be easily customized and the fields in the contact form can be also. You are also able to use any video you want in the page, it doesn't have to be the one included in this course. In regards to changing how things look this is an html/css template so if you are comfortable with css then you could change things as little or as much as you want to.

But the skeptic wonders whether the Aussie character might see text marketing as intrusive and too "American" (No offense meant to our US friends, just that we are a very different culture). I'm sorry, I don't really want to discuss services at all because this isn't a course and as soon as the conversation opens then I have every second person asking me the same questions. This is just a tool for SMS marketers. I hope you understand.

On a side note, there are plenty of people already doing SMS marketing in Australia, I don't see it as "being too American". It's going to become just as popular here as it is in the US right now. It's only a matter of time and I strongly believe this year will be the year it becomes mainstream over here as more and more services hit the market and prices drop.

Twilio is said to be coming out here in Australia soon which will stir things up BIG time.

So if I were to target Restaurants & Mechanics on a particular day.

I would presume I would need to install your code twice i.e. have a Restaurants sub folder & a Mechanics sub folder.

Because I don't want the restaurant owner reading a landing page that says "Are you looking for more customers and more sales for your Mechanical Workshop...?"

Correct. You would just install it twice. But I always suggest just concentrating on one niche at a time -- there's no need to spread yourself. The more laser targeted you are, the better.

No. We used the dollar sign because it's quite well known as the international representation of money. I really don't see it causing any issues with your UK audience especially with the UK voiceover accompanying it.

If only more video based WSO's would acknowledge the fact that a large market resides outside of the US where a US accent is a "sales killer". Kudo's to you for giving the "rest of the world" a great neutral English voice over (UK) (You could have easily stuffed it up here mate, some UK accents are incomprehendible ) that works from Atlantis to Zululand.

I suppose being an Aussie does make you more sensitive to this need which will result in MANY clicks on the buy button, regardless of the fact that this is indeed a clever product worth every Shekel..or Rupee..or Rand..or..
